great Coaching Collin yesterday!!!:f_thumbsup:
Thanks Grisuuu, Esteo92, I really enjoyed the coaching too!
Quarkjacks, good questions -- there are many spots for polarized 3bet ranges in hypers, particularly at 10/20 versus a minraise you can 3bet small with a range of hands you're willing to stack off with + light 3bets. In terms of charts, I don't know any for 3bet ranges, but ICM software can give you the tools to make a chart like this. Hope that helps, and I'm happy to elaborate more in a future coaching.
Hey Collin,
in 6max SNG about the Resteals, is it a good Rule of Thumb to resteal with: any Pocket, A5s+,A9o+, suited Broadways, 98s+
against Standard Player who is raising on BU/CO with a Stack 12bb+, not including high Risk Situations like Bubble and small Stacks?
thank you
Hey Collin,
About the resteals, is there any charts about them or information? Becouse i am stealing but i have hard time to resteal , i dont know how.. what ranges.. what OP type is the best to resteal etc. can some one give me some info?!
Thanks.
Good questions guys. On the next coaching I have the creator of ICMizer coming on, I'll ask him to show how to use his program to generate answers to these questions
Hi, Collin. Great coaching session on Icmizer 2 today, very informative. Can you please do a coaching session on HRC too? Thanks.
Hi Collin great Coaching today from both, very informative:f_thumbsup:
could u explain in one of the next Coachings how to make accurate Assumptions about the Openraising Ranges and call-Ranges if we 3bet shove and Vice Versa (Bad Players, Regs) without HRC (i am using Icmmizer). (i am playing the 6max SNGs)
thx
Thanks Grisuuu! To answer your other question ... I have Anto11 coming on the coaching today but I promise I will start the coaching after that by answering your question ![]()
Madshakes, glad you enjoyed the ICMizer coaching. I can't promise a full coaching on HRC, but if you have any questions I'm more than happy to answer. One week from today would be best if you can make it then.
Hi Colin, watched a lot of your wires, and I want to say that I really like your game and reasoning:f_thumbsup:, could you make out and I played MTT tournament Poker Stars, hyper turbo speed for 5 $, arms stored in XM?
Anto11's name is actually spelled Antoan. But yeah, he was a good guest

It's funny how Google Translate alters Russian sentences ![]()
Basically, XxXaN has watched a lot of your videos, Collin, liked them and now wants you to do a review of his hands from a $5 Stars hyper-turbo MTT that he has saved in HM.
I've told XxXaN in his Russian thread to upload the raw hand history file to Dropbox and send the link to you in a private message; it's still the correct way of submitting material for your review, isn't it?
Thank you Grisuuu, Antoan definitely did a great job ... always so much fun to have him on.
XxXaN, Thanks for posting and your request.
Tony, your translation makes more sense but I did think it was pretty cool he wanted me to build a circuit for him
Your solution with Dropbox would work very well ... or if it's easier one of you guys can send me the file over Skype. I'll do my best to use it for content soon.
Hi Collin,
I appreciate all of your amazing work and dedication, you are a great teacher ![]()
Recently I watched your STTs review and you said that because of the antes you should widen your opening ranges at the early game, my question is how wide are we talking about. I`m used to play super tight early. My ranges approximately would be something like this -
UTG - AQs AKo, 88+ and I would limp 22-77
UTG+1 - AQo+ 77+
MP - AJs+ 66+
MP2 - KJs+, 44+, AJs+
HJ - QTs+, 22+ KQo+
CU - JTs+, 22+ KJo+
BU - 78s+, 22+, JTo+
and well SB is ussually pretty wide
Thank you.
Thanks Angalius, and good question. It does depend on the table you're at, and your personal approach to STTs. Generally though the ranges you give are a little bit on the tight side. For example, here are my own ranges from a couple of these positions:
UTG: 66/AJo/A9s/KQo/JTs
Hijack: 22/A2s/A8o/JTo/76s
These are just approximate of course, it always depends on other factors so opening ranges shouldn't be set in stone ... but my suggestion would be to experiment with opening more hands.
Hope that helps, and I'm happy to elaborate more in my next coaching.
Thanks for your response.
i think something you should definitely talk about in your coaching is about goals, motivation, inspiration, pushing yourself etc. Nowadays there are people who want to play poker for living, but cannot find a way to motivate themselves properly. Deep in their hearth they know they want to do this, but fall short on meeting their own expectations and just do somewhat average.
What was the thing that was pushing you to do what you did, because you had to be motivated, dedicated and inspired by something. Why are you as successful as you are, what fueled you trough the years? You obviously had some rough spots looking back, but you did not give up.
Sorry for rambling, but I think that a lot of people put them selves down and feel as they are not good or smart enough to earn a living playing the game we all love. You can still be a huge success story without being the smartest person on the block. Sometime its not the skills that get you further than the average person can get.
Thanks
I cannot get into tonights stream - is it down, or is it just me?
EDIT Not to worry - I'm in
8runo, glad to hear!
Angalius, Nice suggestion, I'll try my best to get to this today but it may be tight timing-wise with it being the first spin coaching. If I don't have time today, please remind me in the future since it's a very good question.
See you guys at today's first spin 'n go beginner class
At the conclusion of the beginners course, is it intended for there to be a course at a more advanced level for Spins?
Colin your Picture looks ICE COLD MAN!! It pretty much represents " Im so ice cold that im going to crush your soul when i never check-fold to your c-bets on the flop! (Evil laugh) and then im going to check raise you when you never have it!! Hoo hoo i just crush you!" 7♦:2♠: Pocket A♦:A♠:, it does int matter! Your going bust!
Nah cool photo. Looking forward to further teaching from you. Reading books in the mean time will help me critically understand the basics, the math, and too one day upload a photo of myself as an ice cold killer who knows best of his opponents lol.
