I've not tried there yet but now that there have started the beginner's night tournaments on a thursday night i may well venture down there in the new year.

Hi, im from the north-east of UK (newcastle). Ive just passed the quiz and waiting for my SC on PartyPoker.

I mainly play MTT's or SnG's. My cash game needs improving.

Hey rizlazizla, welcome to PokerStrategy & the Bulldog's England meeting place.

You'll find us all friendly and (try to be) helpful here and you really do learn lots.

Can highly recommend reading & re-reading the strategy guides carefully and also see if you can visit on of the live coaching sessions too, they're great at plugging small leaks in your game.

I too prefer mtt's & sng's, but am also concentrating on a NL10 sss (fr) cash game at the moment, so that this can improve my overall play.

I've not visited this thread for a few weeks (not even been very active in any section). It seems to becoming inactive, so i'm bumping it now.

BTW the offer still stands. Any active English members (from this thread) that need video's of their play analysing, I'm happy to help. I have made about 30-40 video's in the past, and i'm +EV in most variants.

buyins i've played and been +EV:
DoN's up to $200's
SnG's up to $109's
FR BSS up to NL400
FR SSS up to nl200
SH cash up to NL100 (not much SH cash game experiance, but still winning at this buyin atm)
MTT's up to $109's (played a few higher buyins for fun)

Wouldn't attempt to analyse any FL or HU atm sry. I dont play FL, and my HU aint the best just now.

Yeah, I'm still definately up for this. Is there an easy (online) way of videoing my play as I've only got an analogue camcorder and videoing on this, uploading & converting to digital would probably be a bit of an arse to do ♦

You can use a program to make the recording. Just type in desktop recorder on google, and there is lots of free ones. None are really any better than the other, they are all simple programs.

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone had a good Xmas and New Year. I apologize for not being very active lately, but i had some personal problems that meant i wouldn't be able to play poker for a while and i needed to withdraw all my roll unfortunately.

However things are starting to look up and i am hoping to deposit some money again towards the end of the month hopefully and i will start to become more active again.

I have decided that 2009 will be dedicated to learning tournament strategy both online and live with my cash game being mainly used for bankroll building for the tournaments. I am also hoping to qualify for some live games via the satelittes as well as trying to qualify for the WSOP as well.

I would like to personally thank everyone who has contributed to this thread since it was born and i wish each and everyone of you a very prosperous and happy new year.

Whilst maybe logistically unlikely, here's hoping that we are all able to meet up sometime in 2009 for a game, a pint or two, or both
Might even be able to lure Soy & friends away from their Gibraltar sunloungers for a game, who knows? ♦

My name steve to and just recently joined this site which i think is great. Am currently living in rothwell leeds and just about to leave the army.
Been playing poker for about 2 years and thinking about taking it up very seriously. Gonna join the cakepokerso i can get my strategy points as am already member of party, stars and ladbrookes before ifound this.
My fav game is FL and enjoy the NL tournys but have recently been playinghorse on stars and loving that trying to master the 5 , (i wish)
Anyway hi to everyone and would love to meet on te sites and have gen discussions.

Nice to see anothor face join the group. Congratulations on joining PokerStrategy as it is just a brilliant site and it can only help to improve your game.

Just remember to read the articles available many times until you can memorise them as they will help you no end to improve game as will the videos and coachings. But more important than the above is to make sure you learn to use proper bankroll mamagement.

Thanks for getting back to me. Appreciate it. Is there sites where u all reguarly meet up and play together or do u all occasionally meet up in person to play. Be good to meet up reguarly with people on sites or in person as there is not really anywhere for me to do that. Help would be greatfull.
