You have to update iOs to the newest version. I had the same problem.

They have been conducting promotional activities, but their software is so bad.

Can't get it to work on Android either, so I'm gessing the problem is on their end.

Hi, guys,
The 888 client works fine on my tablet (android), but I have never tried it on my phone.
I'm not likely to install poker software on my phone in any case.

Cheers,
VS

Thanks for the link.
I did experience some disconnection problems over the past few days.

In all but a few cases of poker room disconnections, I have found that it was my own hardware (cable modem, router or network) or my ISP.

Too tell which it is, here are some tools you can use.
All are free, and although I obviously make no guarantees, I have used them all with no problems.

:diamond:  Speedtest.net If you do not have an ad blocker, there is a deceptive button that looks like you're starting the speed test, but you're doing some other thing. Only click the button that reads "begin test" that appears on the map in the background. Otherwise the test provides a good test of your current overall internet connection.
:diamond:  pinginfoview This is a tool that you download. Just run it. No installation required. You provide a list of host names or addresses and it constantly pings those addresses every 5 seconds or so, and records how long each ping takes, and how many fail.
As it happens, I had issues yesterday, so I started it.
This is the output after over 24 hours of testing:

8.8.8.8 is Google's DNS server.

I generally ping by name. If you have DNS problems, the name can't be resolved to an address, and so you find that out.

You won't be able to find the poker server address unless you run a tool like wireshark.
That isn't recommended unless you know what you're doing. You won't harm anything, but the data from wireshark is rather raw, and is just a meaningless jumble of numbers to most people.

I've just started playing on 888 this past month, and so far, out of all the rooms I've played, it comes out 2nd best. Pokerstars still has the best software, but I don't play there much for a host of reasons.

Peace,
VS

I sympathise!
Perhaps it is something you can opt out of?
I get nothing at all from the casino -- I never opened an account there.

Perhaps you can close yours if you don't use it.

And, as a last resort, there is always the delete key!
