PokerRanger certainly has a lot of features that are also important for MTT players. I would say, each feature is valuable for that.

The only thing is that MTT has also other aspects that are not important in cash game like ICM. Those features are not supported by PokerRanger (at the moment).

The best idea probably is to try out PokerRanger for yourself. You might also watch BogdanPS' vieo about PokerRanger that has been published lately: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/35924/

I have already tried the software and honestly it was very useful, I just wanted to get the creator stamp to make sure. If you will add ICM calculations to your software it would be the best and the most complete poker analyze software I have ever seen.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Rubke08,

that is very nice to hear, thank you!

We currently restructure the software for a clearer and simultaneously more powerful user interface. After that there is a row of various features on the to do list. So, ICM is not something that is the very next thing to do for us but we will definitely take that into account.

Thank you very much for your interest!

Hello. Sorry for my English, I communicate through the Google translator.
I have a problem with the import hand histories. The trial version. PT4 use.
When you try to import this issue

Tell us how to import arms from PT4?

Hi ElenaTrojan,

PT4 has a bunch of different hand history formats. One of them might not work right now. You can try to export the hand history in other text formats if available.

If that does not work, please send a sample hand history to us via mail, then we can have a closer look and consider it for import for one of the next updates.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Hi,

which version do you use? Please note that the latest version does not run with Windows XP, since it is not longer supported by Microsoft.

In our download area, you can find an earlier verdien, though.

Hi again,

have you used the installer or the package? If you have used the installer, please try downloading the package and extracting all files to the PokerRanger directory. In some cases, that has solved this problem. The file size of platforms/qwindows.dll should be around 833kb (as opposed to 852kb).

If you have still issues after using the package, we could also set up a teamviewer/skype session.

All the best,

Is there any way to make this bigger (full screen) without 3rd party software?

Hi /PrawdziwyElBandito,

I am afraid at the moment the size is fixed. However, with the next upgrade it will become resizable. I apologize that I have no better news for you so far. We are working hard on the next large version where the issue will be resolved.

Thank you for your interest!

All the best,
Michael

I am now on decision power-equilab or Poker Ranger when trials ends. I am now testing both in the same time. What I can see is:
1. power equilab has greater sizes
2. power equilab has weights (I can get aproximation in poker ranger by suits and as I know you working with PIOsolver to make something with weights)
3. PokerRanger has mixed subgrups (I can give 50% of QQ to one group and rest to another what cannot be done i power equilab)

When are you going to lunch your next update?

Hi again,

the next update will be as large as it never has been and will take some months more time.

I am very positive that PokerRanger will outperform Equilab in the long run because most of the latest Equilab features have the signature of being more or less direct copies of PokerRanger's feautures, thus lacking originality. Of course, Equilab's developer will tell you otherwise, so you have to judge in your own.

The major update in progress will have a weight system with groups that Equilab seems to be missing at the moment. We believe that weights without groups have no real use, e.g. range design is very limited.

Personally my decision would be very clear, but as said before, you have to find some judgement on your own.

We see what PokerRanger is lacking and talk a lot to users resulting in many ideas and changes to our software. Not everything can be implemented instantenously. We give our best, though, to satisfy all our users needs.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Thank you very much for your interest and feedback!

Cheers,
Michael

Hi,
power-equilab has done their update two days ago, and said the next one will be in two weeks. For me it is clear that for business reason many smaller updates in weeks are better than one big in months. There is nothing wrong for me that one of you copy something from another (like microsoft "double click problem"
https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn5072-microsoft-gains-double-clicking-patent/) it is good for both groups of customers. In other way I should make my ranges in power ranger and they copy it (if you allow me) to power=equilab to see it bigger. Maybe you should simply work together as your software are so similar?
So my suggestions is to make smaller update with some features which are ready not waiting for whole project. I think it would be better for your business and for customers (me) also.

Best regards.

Hi PrawdziwyElBandito,

you are right that smaller updates have certain advantages. The current PokerRanger update takes a long time because we introduce some features that need a redesign of the entire software project. Because of this this update takes longer. Our usual idea is that we offer smaller updates, when we can offer smaller features. This makes also sense for bug fixes and we can react faster.

Collaboration with Equilab does not make sense to us for a variety of reasons. Especially with the next update we do not see how this would be possible or be worthwhile.

Thank you for your input!

Best regards,
Michael

Hi,

the work on PokerRanger2 is still in nice progress. However, we have learnt from some users that the stability of PR1 would be in need of improvement. Also, we have analyzed a lot of crash reports and heart from some lags.

That is why we decided to provide a stability update which gets rid of the crashs and makes the software run more smoothly on weaker CPUs. Moreover, even with some calculations going on the system's overall stability should remain higher.

If you experience (especially reproducable) crashs or strong lags, please let us know. Our new development process allows us to provide bugfix updates for PokerRanger1 while the work on PokerRanger2 is ongoing. :)

Thank you a lot for your great and elaborate feedback!

All the best,
Michael

Hi!

I have a new laptop installed with Windows 7. I installed the Pokerranger too.

First I got an 0xc00007b error. Then I unpack and copy the archive version into the Pokerranger folder and since then the Pokerranger runs. But I have 2 problems.

1. If I click on the "Activate Pokerranger" button nothing happens. So I can not activate it with my serial file.
2. I can not use "Import tree to File" button because this button also does not work.

Could you help me to solve my problems? Thank you in advance!

Hi SZEBI18,

the error message sounds like if the download has not worked correctly. This is very rare and is a general network-related issue but might happen in some cases. Nice to hear that you have solved this issue by yourself. Just to be sure about another thing: Do you use an x86- or x64-based system?

"Activate PokerRanger" opens a file dialog. It should open on the same screen but it might be that it opens on another screen. If you have usually another screen connected to your laptop, the file dialog might appear at a place where you cannot see it. Is PokerRanger usable after clicking the button or does just nothing happen?

The same holds for the other button. Does just nothing happen or is PokerRanger unusable because some "invisible" dialog has to be used (which might be closable using escape)?

All the best,
Michael

Hello! Thank you for your prompt answer.

I use an x64-based system.

I don't have another screen connected to my laptop and never was because this is a brand new laptop.

In both cases just nothing happens but I can use the other functions (until the trial period ends).
