He actually said its possible villain calling a river bet, Nivlem.

You got it right. Generally , it is good to make the raising on turn as villain can call you wider with the hope that the river will improve him. Draws are paying there. On river, with no more cards to come, it is impossible to make them pay.

That's why I explained it is important to watch and explore villains in live games ,as you have enough time there.

In my experience, bad players betting small do so more as blocking bets than to induce a raise. Totally player-dependent, though. Definitely think we leave some money on the table by not raising the turn especially when villain can have a lot of two pair/pair+SD combos

MJ, I have seen one and the other. Not so frequently but still... That is why I emphasised on watching the game and the villains, especially when the game goes slowly and you have all the time in the world... :)

I endorse ur thinking here. Bad players tend to be way more transparent w their bets. The bigger, the better. U cant categorize the guy as tricky until u see him doing a tricky move.
