Quick update

September going nicely. Some hands missing since I found out tonight that 888 poker with HM2 doesn't track all hands properly!
Overall I am very happy with my play past 2 days. Recreational players paying me off hugely and folding like a boss in so many spots that I was making calls before with sets and 2 pairs. Top pair on the river after x/c x/c donk from any one, no thanks!
I hope this trend continues, especially the focus, solid decision making and 5 hour daily grinding (so far 604 minutes in September).

Related to this nice run, I withdrew part of my BR from 2 sites and I am planing to use it for life expenses and plane ticket before I actually leave for USA on 23rd. I will wait 4-5 more days most likely before I purchase ticket. Want to see in next 10k hands how things will go with focus, decision making and grinding overall.

Here is the graph for 1st and 2nd of September (EV 11.2bb/100 running at 15.1bb/100):

Enjoy your week on and off the tables!

3 hour session!

Just played 3 hour long session. Felt amazing as my focus was very strong through out and my plays were also good. I ended up down 2 buy ins but running severely under EV (ran at -11bb should be +5bb or more). It felt great to play 3 hour long session again, 6 tabling CG and playing 1-2 recreational players at most. Definitely mental game and decision making growing steady. Some hands from this session that were brutal: AK vs fish who cold call 3 bet then my 4 bet on A35 two tone I check he bets vs missed and calls my x/shove (4 bet pot) he shows 33 and takes a huge pot. AK 4 bet SB vs Reg utg and fish btn 3 bet who 3 bets to 11bb! After I 4 bet reg folds, fish calls, flop comes K92 two tone with spades, I bet 2/3 he calls , turn is now A of clubs so now double fd, I shove and he calls from BTN with Q9ss and gets his spades on the river , pot worth 150+ euros or 300bbs :) AK 4 bet fish who 3 bet fish from BTN had 50ish BBs and got it in I called he had QQ standard spot. 3 bet BTN vs CO AQo, fish 4 bets I defend, flop is QTx fish x/shoves I call he shows KK where in this spot I expect also AK AJ QK AQ AA KK QQ (from which I block AA QQ KQ and i block AK AJ a bit but he has tons of those in his range and + random bad bluffs if he is aggro enough - didn't have enough hands on him for it).

Will go for another 2 hours now to complete 5 hours for the day, in the meanwhile here is the graph for 3 hour long session!

Done for the day, 301 minutes of grind completed. Super satisfied with my play today and in this month so far overall. Strong focus, improved decision making (doing folds way easier now) and keeping up with 5 hours of grind daily.
Will post the graph for the day with couple of things to mention before that - HM2 doesn't track all the hands on 888 and I suspect on other sites as well.

Before I started playing today I knew exactly my balance. Tonight i cleared 1 bonus chunk for 10$ on 888 and besides it I made 34.74$ there. On another site I was up today 38.60 euros. On 3rd site I was down 25.91 euro. So when you put those numbers together manually it is 44.74$ profit with bonus on 888, 38.60 euro on another site pre RB of course - 25.91 on 3rd site which is 12.69 euro profit from those two sites combined. And now, with all this info I should be besides the fact that I was running bad today be up pre RB 1 buy in. Now when you check out the graph you will see BE there? HM2 needs to sort this out asap!!!
BTW, I got this tip from a friend of mine last night, he tracks all his money before starting grind every day and checks it in the end of it. That is what I did and I already noticed 1 buy in missing from graphs - pretty unexpected to say the least!

Anyways, check out the graph with everything said above and I strongly suggest you track manually how much money you are making or losing for that matter cause HM2 is definitely not doing its job well enough in this area!

P.S. Just checked all the graphs for each of the sites and 888 is definitely messed up. It shows -10$ or so when I should be up 44.74$ or 34.74$ excluding the bonus tonight.

Done for the day, 300 minutes in 2 very long sessions (98 and 202 minutes).

I felt that today I played very well and had couple of unfortunate hands that brought down the winnings and EV. Despite it, I again ran under EV :)

Some hands from today that I lost for whole stacks. BVB 2 stacks, AK vs KK 1 stack and 1 stack 5 bet shove AJo running into KK vs opponent who 4 bets over 9% of range and was folding to 5 bet shoves 100% (5/5 hands bvb). Other lost stacks, QQ 5 bet shove vs cold 4 bet aggro reg who called with AKo and got there on the river; 6 bet shove CO vs BB with KK opponent calls with AKs and hits 2 outer A on the river.
Those were the largest lost hands, there were couple of them that added to 1 buy in, most were river calls, raises or bet calls. QJ 3 barrel on KT296 from two tone spades to 3rd spade getting there aggro fish raises and I call he shows up with 98ss flush; J7s bvb 3 barrel call down vs very aggro reg where I had 2 pairs on 754r Qh Jh where opponent had heart flush; BTN vs BB open, flop T34r I c bet KK reg x/c, turn is Jd now there is FD and SD possibility he donks I call, river is Kd, I hit top set and there is FD completed and FD posibility, opponent continues his donk on the river and I value raise top set, he just calls with Q8dd flush! Finally another hand CO vs aggrosih player on BTN, flop is AT7 monotone all spades I have AhJs, so I x/c flop , turn is Qh now I keep doing x/c and river is Kh opponent bets close to 80% and I call with Straight, he shows 65ss and takes away the pot. Some other spots also where I ran into coolers with KK vs AA vs aggro fish where I 3 barreled on T high board etc.

So those were the spots from today. I am happy with how everything went considering that again I did 5 hours grind in 2 sessions and did 2.5k hands while doing HU and 3-4 handed at times vs recreational player + reg etc.

Finally, I wrote down the money won and lost on all 3 sites for the day to check with HM2 and today it seems to work. 106.50 euro won on 1 site, 19.32$ lost on another site, 40.97 euro lost on 3rd site.

Here is the graph for the day:

Enjoy your weekend!

Done for the day, another 300 minutes grind completed!
Today was more difficult compared to whole week. My focus towards the end of 1st session was getting weaker so I took a brake. Needed to regenerate, went to bed for a nap and relaxed with some Mission Impossible movie for an hour. After that watched Serbia vs Spain Basketball where we won by 10 points margin. After that I was left to grind about 200 minutes which I did and I have to thank Jazz music for keeping me focused and sharp through out those long sessions.
2 weeks ago I connected with my old guitar student who I taught when I got back to Serbia in 2007-2008. We talked about jazz music, concerts and guitar in general. Recently we also played for 2-3 hours Jazz Guitar Duo which was brutal for me cause I really love playing guitar and music in general especially Jazz. So what I have been doing this past week is when grinding I was using through out the grind various Jazz music. It keeps my ears open, mind sharp and brain working 200 miles per hour. As a musician I am enjoying Jazz the most (along with film scoring and big band type of music) and it also triggers logical part of my brain that tries in real time to decode whatever is happening in rhythm, melody and harmony in any given tune. This of course boosts my focus and it reflects at CG tables. Feel very proud that I can do both at the same time, it just shows me that my focus and auto pilot are getting together in sinc at the same level that I had when I was doing 15+ tabling SNGs! Don't get me wrong, I adjusted also my tactical game in 2 areas but yeah I am definitely feeling more in power in control despite longer grinding sessions.

Tonight since it is already late and I have a coaching session early morning, I will not go into actual hands that happened tonight. Brief summary is that I won JJ vs KK today (hence running above EV today) but also lost AK vs AQ and got set up couple of times. Overall I was bluff catching very well (would give myself 8.5/10 today for it) + value betting like a boss vs both recreational players and regs.

Graph for today 14.4bb EV, running at 20.5bb

Graph from 1st to 5th of September 2015 11.1bb EV, running at 11.2bb

Won more for the month but it doesn't show due to HM2 not doing perfect job with 888 (today graph was correct).
Very satisfied with focus, tactical and mental game as well as steady grind! Also super motivated due to USA trip, I am feeling very good and strong as well as super excited that I will be going to Boston after 7-8 years since I was last time there!

Enjoy your weekend on and off the tables!

300 minutes - NOT COMPLETED!
Today was day full of other life activities. Besides coaching in the morning, I went to do some house chores. After that talked with my friend who is NYC about my arrival for over an hour. After that talked to my great friend Stanko who lives in London. He is coming to Serbia in 2 days and I will pick him up at the airport, transporter style! He will be here until 20th of September which is great since tonight I did something great. I purchased ticket for USA trip!!! I will leave on 22nd of September with return date on 21st of October!!! Ticket is payed, no turning back and now I feel even more great about the whole trip - can't wait for it really. I am also a bit nervous because it is 16 days from now but it is enough time to get more grind in, spend time with family and friends and get ready mentally for that experience. I can write paragraphs and pages really on what plans are in USA but I will elaborate more on that when time comes. For now the most important thing is that I bought ticket and that date(s) are set, I am definitely going to USA!!!
As far as poker goes, I was very tired today due to going to bed late, waking up earlier and coaching, then 2 Skype calls with my friends, Serbia game vs Germany (again we won) and when it was time to play my brain was totally off. It resulted into 70 or so minutes of play and 3 stacks lost! Running bellow EV , loosing JJ to AK, reg/fish on 888 in 3 bet pot calling my turn combo shove with TPsuperweakkicker and just overall lack of focus. I decided to stop for the day , relax, talk to my best friend from Boston and buy ticket which is what I did. I will go to bed earlier today since tomorrow I have drinks scheduled with my great friends and it is time to put those 5+ hours of grinding in before the trip. I will look into ways for my time management to fix towards the end to prepare for the trip well (gifts for my friends and packing!!!). Money situation is OK, I would be thrilled with 1-2k euro more, but I can't be unhappy with everything that is going on in my life in the past 15 or so months, I can just say that I am doing my part and am moving towards alternative life paths for myself.

Enjoy your night at the tables and off them !

Quick update:

After great start of September, past 3 days, including today I lost all the winnings pre RB (still in profit post RB)! I was running bellow EV , there were setups but also bad mental game for sure (rushed decisions, lighter calling and shoving on river etc).

Since I need money not only for USA trip but for life changes and relocation, I have decided to drop to NL25 and play the zoom format for time being. Plan is to keep playing NL25 as long as I don't build steady enough bankroll to move full time to NL50.
In USA I plan to spend 1k in 4 weeks which is about 50$ per day spending budget. Besides that I will also look into possibilities there. When I return to Serbia, I will be moving to another place to isolate myself from everything in my life that has been bothering me for past year and a half. Problems everywhere, things that I can't handle any more, even with help from mental game coach I can't keep this type of sacrificing life style going anymore. So the best thing is to move, focus on myself exclusively (do things I feel I should be doing when I want to be doing them) and I will see how that works out in the future. I feel blessed that I can do both poker and music full time as well as find any regular job anywhere. This is why I am keeping my options open right now. If I do stay in Serbia (when I return from USA on 21st of October), moving is number 1 priority with minimum expenses per month while focusing on working out, working on the game, crushing NL25 and rebuilding life and poker bankroll.

In other news, today I am leaving for Belgrade to pick up my friend Stanko.
I look forward seeing and hanging out with him. He will be here by 20th of September, I leave on 22nd, so 12 days to hang and enjoy it. In the meanwhile I will grind NL25 zoom 4 tabling it 4-5 hours a day.

Enjoy your week on and off the tables!

Thanks Vonki!
Yeah it feels awesome, 2 weeks away exactly and I am very excited and nervous about the trip. Will be going all in over there, figuring out what USA has to offer me and overall adjustment that I would need to make if I were to request work visa and such.

First of all, Happy New Year 2016 to all readers and followers. I wish you health, love and happiness then may all other wishes come true for you in 2016.

Update is due, longer one for sure, but there is a reason why I haven't updated past 2-3 months. I will do a large update most likely in March or something like that.

Thank you for being patient and I hope everything is good in your lives!

Back in Serbia!

It's been almost 6 months in Boston USA for me and I really had some great and life revealing things happen to me.
Since this is poker blog, I will start by telling you that I played close to zero poker while in USA! I was thinking about playing it but there were no options (at least ones I found profitable for my level of knowledge) to play while there. Playing live is whole other world for me, tried it before in Serbia and Macedonia, didn't enjoy it that much to be honest - just thinking of all those hours sitting and seeing people to be rude and retarded many times really pushed me away from live play.
So, since I didn't play poker, what did I do past 6 months? Something that I love and enjoy doing the most, music, guitar, teaching, performing, recording, helping people all over the world with my true love and life mission!
I initially went to Boston USA to visit my good friend for a month but in the end decided to stay for almost full duration of stay for my visa. Was it worth it? Absolutely! There were both great and very hard times that I had while there but that didn't stop me appreciate my life path and what I had to give up to get there and be now here in Serbia.

Some things that happened in no specific order:
I finally got to date and be with Asian girlfriends again (and I already miss them so much)
Connect with A list jazz musicians for my future album
Made great new friendships with people that showed to be amazing human beings
Spent time with my friends and people who truly appreciate having me in their life and for who I am willing to do amazing things for
Realized who my real friends are and who deserves little to no attention in my life anymore
Went to amazing concerts and networked with fantastic musicians for future tours
Connected with studio folks and agents for my future arrival in USA
Looked into possibilities for full time move in USA in future (teaching jobs, performing opportunities, tours etc)
Went to NYC about 5-6 times and had a great time there with my close friends
Had a lot of time to reflect on my life path past 8 years (after getting back to Serbia from USA) and very unpleasant period of past 3 years where I lost a lot of things important to me in my life
Recorded Jazz album for a friend of mine which should be out within next 2 months
Taught a masterclass in one of the most famous music schools in Boston
Had numerous media appearances in Serbia (some major publications, more to come in the near future)
Saw my favorite musicians and my mentor and legend that I look up to in Jazz world
Lived in 5 different locations in past 6 months in Boston (all at different friends places!)
From 0 guitar students before leaving to Boston, now I am teaching 12 students (2 live here in Serbia and 10 via webcam lessons all over the world)
Learned a lot about finances, investing, online business and have a clear vision and mission for my music teaching business
Analyzed all the expenses in Boston for 3 months straight and now know what realistic target I need to go back there and move potentially for full time relocation
Decided to return and help my dad with some unexpected expenses
Moved to a new place where I am living on my own now

So that is all for the USA update, now let's get to what I am doing in Serbia and what my plans are.

As I mentioned above, I am teaching 12 people guitar and music. Thanks to that I can make enough money not to have any additional stress in life and to do what I love to do. I am looking to teach 3 more people, total of 15 and to keep amazing value for all my students. Besides that, I am working on my 1st music instructional book as well as online music course and new website. This is where my main focus is right now but in the near future that is about to change.

The reason why I came back to Serbia is to help my dad paying off apartment mortgage. From Boston USA I couldn't save enough money, I made enough to survive there but to save and send back home - that was not possible at this time.
So what did I decide to do? Come back to Serbia where my expenses are 500-600$ per month and save as much money as possible using combination of music lessons and online poker.

What are my plans for poker?
Simply put, by the end of 2016 I want to make 10000 euros or 12000$. A year or two ago, this amount was a "joke" for me since I was making 3k+ a month playing 15s and 30s 6 max SNGs. Now it has been close to a year since I played last time SNGs professionally and my CG studying and switch wasn't as rewarding financially for me. During this period of past 2 years I had massive family expenses and I made some very bad decisions that lead me to having very little to no bankroll.
Now 2 years later, my BR for poker is very low and now you can see how 12k$ profit by the end of the year is not as easy as it sounds.

How do I plan to get to 12k$ profit by the end of 2016?
Spin and Goes!
It is the most popular format, there is tons of fish in it and I have spent about 10-20 hours past week or so doing sweet sessions with my great friend and study partner elpsycho where I realized that they are very soft and that I definitely have very big edge in them at least up to 15$ limit which with correct multi tabling skills, steady grind and study habit will bring me such money.

Detailed plan for the next 2 months (April and May):
April = 3000 games 3 tabling on 3$ limit using 200 buy ins bankroll and studying 90 minutes per day
Expected earnings with a bit over 7% ROI over 800$ post RB
May = 3500 games 3 tabling on 7$ limit using 200 buy ins bankroll and studying 60 minutes per day
Expected earnings with a bit over 5% ROI over 1470$ post RB
Total expected earnings a bit over 2270$ post RB in 6500 games

If everything goes as planed, from June I will potentially go to 15$ Spins with 200 buy ins and go for SN chase until the end of 2016 with expected ROI of 3%. But, let's talk about this once April and May are over! One thing that I am definitely sure about is that my motivation is to help my dad asap with 12k and to do that playing 7s with higher ROI will definitely be less variable road vs taking on 15s or higher stakes which is why I will most likely stay on 7s by the end of year and perhaps just increase table count to 4-5 tabling and try to stay at 5-7% ROI.

This will not be an easy challenge as I will be teaching around 60 hours per month guitar and music so my time for poker will not be allocated as before. I will still however be very dedicated and motivated to combine music with poker with easily over 180 hours each month. When you add to this spending time with family, friends, dating some girls casually, taking some days off, we are easily talking over 210 hours on average each month.

Until April comes, I will start studying 3 handed play 1st and then reviewing some HU game plan plays daily.

I am very motivated and know I can make those 12k$ by the end of this year. My dad deserves this help and I will do everything I can to help him out asap. My mind is set, my body will need to catch up (introducing some work outs in the very near future asap) and thanks to my music teaching and great students I will make sure to keep my balance of things that fulfill me (music and helping people) with things that I need to do right now (helping my dad with apartment mortgage by playing poker for 20+$ hourly) .

Finally, I hope you have had a great 6 month period in your lives and that you were good to people around you and got some very special people in your lives. I know I did and I am very grateful for past 6 months of my life. I very much look forward to each of the remaining months in 2016 as I will push myself more than I have ever pushed before!

See you on and off the tables soon ;)

P.S. I am very grateful to have my friend elpsycho (Puppy you the best! ) go with me through this journey. His support really means a world to me and together I am sure we will crush those spins very soon!
