Day 66&67 (Tue + Wed)

Another nice session on Tuesday with roundabout 400€+. Fun fact on day 66 (just realised that now) I hit 66666 hands in my main alias (one site not included) since beginning of the Challenge. Used Wednesday for studying and getting healthy

Graph: (Yup over EV and Yup I love it :P)

10th Week summary 12.10- 19.10:

Played hands: 9013

Profit 10th Week: 1221€ (record in the Challenge )

total challenge profit: 3325€

Still couldn’t manage to play 50h :( gladly I documented my time management last week and I know now where I loose money. I successfully played max 2 tables till my coaching on Saturday where my coach taught me a training method to be able to focus on more tables and told me to work on that :) So for the next week the goals are to ****ing reach 50h xD and to train to play 3 tables without losing focus.

Graph of the Week ( Under EV => I run soooo bad xD)

11th Week summary 20.10- 26.10:

Played hands: 8369

Profit 11th Week: -82€

total challenge profit: 3243€

hours played: 35

Last week was a little step back 😀 was a bit lazy and got struck by variance so I basically lost some hours of playing time by stoploss. Ran couple of buy ins under EV but considering that I was down more than 600€ in the middle of the week I’M quite fine with breakeven :P. My Errorrate gets lower and lower so I can play more tables with quality could already raise my winrate to >8bb/100. Still working on my schedule and try to find some more time for poker till I arrive @ my planed 50h grind + 20h theroy + mental.

Short review of October

Hands: 49005 (Goal was 45k)

Profit: 2353€ (Goal was 2k)

Hours Played: 181,25h

Not running good on my untracked sites :/

October was much better than Sept. I rebuilt many productivity habits and studied a lot. It was basically the month of starting momentum! I increased my studying hours and playing hours a lot and successfully moved up to NL100.

November is going to be a tough one. On 12.12 I am participating @ the World Championships of Latin Formation. Which means I’m going to train 15-20 hours per week + driving to the hall etc is going to consume a lot of time. So I have to be a bit conservative about the Volume goals for Nov. By the end of Nov I want to have the roll for NL200 and start playing there!

Min-Goals for Nov

Hours: 200 (aim for 220)

Hands: 55k (aim for 60k)

Profit: 4k

Additional Goals:

Optimize Daily schedule: I already have a quite decent plan for there first 4h of the day where I complete my studying tasks + mental training. After that I’m still a bit sloppy with time management and I recon there are still about 2 hours a day which just slip through my fingers where I could do some more useful stuff!

Learn to multitable with good quality

Blog more:

Do @ least 3 written updates + one Video per week. So I’m going to incorporate this in my morning schedule.

Difficulty to work on:

Night sessions after training. I have training 18-21h. I come home after that around 22:00 after that I would actually like to use that time efficiently for work. Sometimes that’s no problem but sometimes I’m just too freaking tired to play poker and nearly fall a sleep in front of the computer.

Possible solutions:

Schedule my freetime there. Fucking a bit tired is still fun xD

Take a cold shower. Works wonders in the morning.

Energy food: Have no idea?! If I eat pasta or something i get really tired.

Tea? Grean tea or black tea?!?

Any other solutions? would love to hear your opinions.

Things I tried which didn’t work:

Coffee: has not enough affect

Powernaps: couldn’t get up again afterwards and just went to sleep

Failing big time in reaching my goals. Actually wanted to play >50h but only did around 30 (+5 which i will play today in the evening). It somehow resulted in a vicious circle => had a downswing, started to play less. Variance takes longer to even out due to less volume => fucked up mindset => play even less => even longer losing streaks => pussying around excusing, justifying … yada yada ….

It’s sooo easy to find reasons and excuses to justify failing. But it doesn’t get me anywhere. It’s time to FUCKING GET SHIT DONE! I knew November is going to be a tough one but that’s no excuse to fuck it up completely and lose a whole month again!!! It’s 4 weeks till world championships and it is fucking possible to grind 50h per week during that time!!! If I manage to succeed in poker during the next weeks, I’m afterwards going to be literally unstoppable! It’s time commit to excellence!

Plan for the next 3 days: Mon play >8h, Tue play >7h, Wed play >11h

Played only 7 out of 8 hours on Monday… Mother was brought to hospital with a suspected stroke but shes fine, just something she had already couple of years ago which is actually harmless but has the same symptoms like a stroke. Anyway visited her in hospital nearby so lost one hour. I’ll try to stick to the hours as close as possible.

Rumsti Kabumsti thats a start :f_o: broke my monthly record since i started the program yesterday on day 7

sofar I played 64 hours this month and ~15k hands. A decent start for sure!

Just though a little about last year and what has happened and what I achieved Yada Yada Yada so I just want to write it down here what is still remember.

I created the habit of mental training and started implementing new beliefs and thoughts and then afterwards make them real.

I now always get up the same time and immediately when the alarm rings without snoozing and that crap

I meditate daily

I clean up daily

I stretch daily

I work everyday on my thoughts and beliefs.

I drink more than 3 litres of water daily

I’m studying @ least an hour a day

I developed the discipline to grind more than 50 hours per week.

I got rid of distractions while playing (skype, phone, browser)

So thats it for now … I’m pretty tired now because I just played 10h so maybe some stuff will be added later. I’m curious how many new habits and skills I can develop in 2016 :f_pleased:

little setback on Day 10 of the 10k challenge. Played really poorly 6 hours with poor focus -.-

1438 hands – 304

Day 11: is off worked on mindset, organisation and think about optimising my productivity even more.

overall 2781+ which i think is quite ok since its my first month with full focus on poker but I still want to go up with pace I think there is still room for @ least 10 hours or even 15 per week which slip through my fingers during the day cause of lack of organisation.

Day 12: Played 10.5 hours and in adition I studied 160 mins and worked on my mentalgame for 45 mins so I spent roundabout 14 hours on poker and it actually already felt pretty easy

played hands: 1607

profit 83€

Day 13: on day 13 I studied more than 2 hours then prepared for coaching for 2hours and then we had a 2,5h megacoaching which was very informative. Overall more than 6,5 hours theory :-O
On the other site didn’t play that much today but I think it still has a very high value to have a high studying volume.
Anyway… Played 5.5 hours 916 hands and had 182€ Profit

Working very hard on my productivity at the moment. It’s time to get professional as fuck :f_cool:

Made my productivity more tangible through statistics and graphs:

First of all my errorate: It’s build on the basis of filters I created and regularly improve which helps me spot my mistakes while playing. As error everthing counts which I would play differently while sessionreview. It’s meassured by mistakes per 1000 hands and goal is to get it below 5 errors per 1k hands.

Next important is the development of playing and studying hours which at the moment should be 8 hours playing and 2 hours studying per day.

Since the importance of studying and grinding can shift I also meassure the total time spent on poker. @ the moment it not going up that much which is fine since I had health probs last weak. but overall I expect it to go up fast in the next couple of weeks since my goal is to spend more than 70h per week on poker.

And all this will influence the last and most important graph:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Goal 10k/month => 333/day :f_cool: :f_cool:

Played hands: 9985
Played hours: 46,25
Studied hours: 17,99
Poker time: 64,24

Profit: 269
Total challenge Profit: 8840

Time schedule is going into the right direction Alltough its still not where I want it yet.

In the past I also fell out of the habit of posting hands in the hand evaluation forums which will be now an area which I will work on.

I’m breaking even since 2 weeks now which sucks a little but I analysed my game and I’m pretty sure it’s just variance since my winrate withe Trips+ is way below average and I got coolered quiet often. If I keep studying as hard as now I actually don’t care about results that much since the will skyrocket soon anyway

Finally VLOG nr 7 is out :f_drink: :f_drink: :f_drink: with a special @ the end

Hey since I wrote about my studying time a lot there came a lot of questions on what I’m actually doing in that time because only numbers are pretty worthless and uninteresting for the reader. Which is obviously quite true.

So over the last months I developed I system which is just prioritizing different theory tasks under following condition:

Automated knowledge > applied knowledge > understood knowledge > new knowledge.

So in the beginning of each theory session I do a sessionreview where I go through certain filters and see how many mistakes I did.

Example: My gameplan is to 6bet SB v BB with AA, 72o and Jokers. So I make a filter for that shows every 6bet with hands which do not fall under that condition & every hand where I didn’t 6bet vs a 5bet with those hands. And if I don’t see a reason why I played it differently & most likely just did it because of lack of focus it counts as a mistake.

I actually built a quite big combination of Filters which shows me mistakes in most areas of my game and I develop and expand those filters constantly.

When I’m done with those filters I study my flashcards. I use a box system where u move correct into further boxes and incorrect ones back to the starting box. Got already more than 3k flashcards which contain everything I learned about poker and some English vocabulary ^^. When everything is on a certain level and I’ve repeated all cards in the levels below, I do hand evaluations.

Hand evaluations are obviously for wrapping your head around new gained knowledge.

And If that’s done I use resources to gain new knowledge such as videos, coachings and database analysis.

That’s pretty much it :f_thumbsup: Would love to read and answer some questions :f_love: :f_love:

Summary of January 2016

Profit: 3905 => Record

Hours: 202 => Record

Hands: 40872 => 2nd best

Well its obviously not close to 10k but the month was still worth a lot. Increased my playing and studying hours a lot. Had 259hours of pokertime + 23 hours of mental training although I was ill couple of days which is pretty awesome. Altough I had a long breakeven strech I managed to have an overall winrate of 9,3bb/100 and I fell in love with the game again . Looking forward for February and to improve even further.

Process Goals:

For Feb I want to have and avg Errorrate below 8.

Next month I want to have and avg playingtime of 7,5per day and 2 hours studying per day so 9,5h pokertime per day.

And I guess than should it be possible to aim for 6k this month :f_cool:
