So the 4th day of a new year and I finally had a winning session! Actually, two of them!

Very happy about the red line recently. I managed to improve it by 5 bb/100 in last 40k hands and hope it will soon be higher than -10 bb/100. Cool that I still didn't come to rewatching the Red Line Rampage series in my 5-point Plan. I am on Phase 2 atm, watching Uri Peleg's user's reviews. The guy is just awesome. Poker looks so easy when he talks about it. :O Today I had a hand where I followed his advice of maximising value vs fish:

Spoiler

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $10 (100 bb)
BB: $8.66 (86.6 bb)
UTG: $9.45 (94.5 bb)
Hero (MP): $14.20 (142 bb)
CO: $16.95 (169.5 bb)
BTN: $10.44 (104.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 5 5
UTG calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.35, 4 folds, UTG calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.85) A 7 T (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.50, UTG calls $0.50

Turn: ($1.85) 5 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $1.30, UTG calls $1.30

River: ($4.45) A (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $12.05, UTG calls $7.30 and is all-in

Results: $19.05 pot ($0.86 rake)
Final Board: A 7 T 5 A
UTG showed A J and lost (-$9.45 net)
Hero showed 5 5 and won $18.19 ($8.74 net)

Another interesting hand:

I'm normally playing 2 tables recently, but will from time to time try 3 tables and see how it goes. With 2 tables I can play like 400-450 hands an hour and with 3 tables I could probably have 600-650, so I hope that in the future will be able to switch to 3 and increase my hourly winrate (I also hope not do decrease my winrate per # of hands, but that's probably a bit optimistic). Anyway, I won't switch completelly to 3 tables untill I'll be confident that I beat 2. The first session with 3 tables was quite good:

Do you guys have some history on each other? Because I know myself: I am doing the same thing (in 3bet pots, however, not in 4bet pots) and hoping to setmine or to keep his preflop range as wide as possible and play poker postflop (*).

For me, it doesn't seem like a suckout, it seems like something planned.

(*) - I don't play on Stars, I play on 888. Here, a 4bet almost always means AA, sometimes KK and very rarely AK. So, it's very easy to play here.

Hi Alleen86, do you think this plan is also suitable for someone playing 2NL? :)

I have just 6 hands on him, playing 60/40. I don't mind his play, I think we both played it fine. I mean, I don't have alot hands in my 4bet bluffing range at that spot in general, and probably none against him in particular, so he should just 5bet vs my "vs him" range. But, he obviously doesn't know that so I don't mind his flat that much because he can't expect to be called or shove with much worse hands there in general. But, whatever. It's just cool to be sometimes on the other side of the variance. :)

Even though it ended in profit, I won't remember this week as a particularly good one. I had so much unlucky spots that I started to tilt a bit and had to end some sessions in quite a bad mood. Anyway, I think I didn't spew anything, which is very very nice. If we want to win, we have to think and act like winners!

I scheduled a coaching session with vonki this week, taking advantage of her great promotion, so looking forward to it! :f_grin:

Would like to thank vonki for today's coaching session, so I will just quote myself from her coaching thread:

To be serious, I really like the way she approach the things, it was very funny and very very useful. I'm pretty sure that will have more coachings in the future with her. After the coaching I had a session and this is the graph:

I'm not sure how she done it. :f_biggrin:

So, thank you vonki! :f_thumbsup:

Would you call me a selfish ass-hole if I tell you that the graph you posted shows a slight loss? :sorry:
