As much as we think about the life we want to live, I think we should also remind ourselves about what we want to avoid, and be grateful for what we already have. 'Fortunately', I live in a place that gives me plenty examples
^old lady / man with wife and kid / old lady, waiting in -2 degrees, hoping to get a lift home.
We should remind ourselves that if we don't stay focused and hustle, we WILL end up in very bad circumstances.
Get in a position to help these people, not be one of them.
I cannot accept your friend request cause I;m not bronze don't you have a blog on other sites? What sites did you added since you left stars cause I know the options are limited?
@beyondaverage Didn't put that much time into blogging so far to make it bigger, but it's def a consideration. Anyway, my skype is *censored edit*, add me there. Not that upset if someone else adds me, it's fine. Well not sure about the games I'm playing currently tbh, but will keep mixing things up - may go back to adding some stars tables, esp since friends play there.
As for my weekly update, let's start with this splendid track
Weekly BR Challenge Report Played Hands: 14.152 Results: -$46 Current BR: $9.523 30 weeks
Was up ~7bi's for the week, until I lost it all during last sessh, sad times.
Getting good at quitting sessions is a skill that can make you a lot of $$$.
Will be posting some more video content tomorrow - said it here so I have to actually do it.
I have a looot of cool content I want to talk about, but I know it takes a looot of time to create it.
Until then, leaving you with something I've been thinking about
Why are our minds disengaging during grinding (poker, work) - videos, music, distractions- when it's actually the only time of day where we can make significant progress towards our dream lives? Where will this approach lead us?
I just wanted to say first of all that your blog is the one I look forward to updates most as you are all ways full of ideas, goals and explanations that are very helpful to less experienced players like myself!
Secondly, congratulations on reaching 2 x Supernova, looks like one he'll of a grind in December to get there! I take it this year you plan on moving up to NL200? And if so then I'm sure all the hard work you are doing will pay off very quickly!
Thirdly : I was wondering how you turned your year round in 2014 as you seemed to make a huge jump in skill. I know you work hard on your game and was wondering what helps you most as I'm struggling with a lot of things and I'm hoping to play poker part time come the summer.
Kind regards,
PS. Keep up the pictures and the good grinding music!

Happy New Year friends!
Ok so as a gift I recorded this vBlog where I rant how Rockefeller's biography changed my perception of how the ideal approach to grinding should be, after a year of almost exclusively Poker.
Enjoy and lemme know what u think. God my hair is crazy.
this video reminded a guy who quit smoking weed and was talking, too bad cannot find it on youtube
Btw about happiness
I am not sure in which of videos he said, but I think in videos about work.
We do not need success to be happy. We need to get rid of thoughts which make us unhappy - like worries about things, am I good at job, am I good husband, etc.
2 year old children are already happy. Are they having value and worth? No. They do not have worries about things.
So this guy says some stuff which makes sense, like this which I quoted, but also he says lot of stuff which I do not understand at all
So how is about rockefeller? Is he happy or what? I did not understand.
Ok have more time to reply to posts right now, really grateful for the support, keeps me thinking it's worthwhile to create content for u

ps: we ( romanian com) could really use a blog like this
Keep up the good work!
thanks, nice name lol, what do you play tho? crazy world of tournaments by any chance?
yeah, interesting thought on posting in romanian community, but most romanians speak english I guess, so here I can also reach them and a wider audience, posting in both would be too time consuming.
Actually seems a lot of fellow romanians found my blog, bagabontilor.

Finally! Someone who seems tho have similar musical taste! Stompy, appreciate so much that you took the time for a thorough reply like that, hope you will keep finding ideas that will help you live a more awesome life (maybe even in today's vBlog).
I used to really like bikes as well, ur profile pic is so dope, especially that it seems it's taken by you, pretty sick.
Yeah well if I'm playing NL200 by the end of the year I would be quite disappointed, I want to go higher by the end of the year and I think it's achievable.
About improving my game this past year, I think I owe it to reaching a critical point downswinging so far that I didn't know if I could pay rent the coming month. Made me re-evaluate my whole game, for me there were a lot of subtle mental leaks. Take some time while you play to play way less tables and analyze your thought process very closely, and be very critical of it. Are you making irrational decisions based on fear, ego? I used to cling to pots and try to win too many of them. My mind used to jam in big pots where I needed to make big folds. Mental stuff..
Also, just play way less tables for a while if you want to improve drastically, really keep your mind very active during hands and keep thinking how you can play better.
When you move further up in stakes, the main difference between players is going to be who plays his ranges better (as opposed to his particular hand in a vacuum). Let me know if u have further q's.
@SPeedFANat1c - are you implying I smoke weed? lol
thank you for the video, cool concept on being free of worries to be happy, I def agree that's a big part
And yeah sorry about the Rockefeller vid if I was incoherent, I was very tired, and rambled a bit all over the place. Basically yeah, Rockefeller was happy because his goal was to be the richest man alive, and he was, but even then he still regularly engaged in other activities unrelated to making more money (gardening, family, church) and those kept him on a more relaxed and even pace, which helped him achieve long term success as opposed to rushing it.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I'm fulfilling my commitment and posting the vBlog - building on my previous vid, giving my new perspective on how Grinding and Adventure actually go together very well to create a pretty sick life. Also risked my fucking life going out of the house
The goal is to make the right decision when the action is on me -
Instead of trying to make an x amount of money today.
~Hollywood Haxton
the murderers now will know where to find you after this video
My goal is not to grind for being able to have fun. I try to be able to have fun with little money. That means that I do not need to overwork, or burn out or smth like that.
I remember examples like these:
As we know they do not have as much money as we do. But they do not look like most sad or unhappy people in the world. Or maybe they fake it for the picture.
Hmm, of course some of them should be, those who have nothing to eat I guess. Of course there are lot of fruits for free I guess. And lot of sun probably also affect the mood.
But really, you can play games with friends, talk with friends, without spending a lot of money and have fun I think.
And I know people who earn a lot more than me. But are annoyed about some things which do not make much sense to be annoyed. Like this is shit, that sucks, that sucks, just keep repeating.
For example looking at car pictures, one guy gets annoyed. So then why the hell is he even looking in the pictures of cars if not nice pictures annoy him. He wants to buy a car. And he gets annoyed by not nice pictures on the internet.
Those african people do not even have money to buy a car, so they do not get annoyed by looking at the not nice car pictures
WIth that mindsent imo, no matter how much money you will have, you will still be annoyed. THen you will want to buy some new supercar lets say. And you will be annoyed because some car gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 s. This is shit, this sucks, how can they make such shitty car ♦ its stupid
And the list goes on. If you do not invest your money, its value go down bit by bit over time. So then you migtht be annoyed that it goes down, you might be annoyed that you do not know how to invest.
I am not saying that I try to be so poor. Money is good. But what I am doing - I am working on, improving at pace such that I would not be feeling bad. Only the problem is that in job, I do not know how to always feel good about my working.
Nice post, SpeedFanatic. Yes, I see your point that people can be happy without having lots of 'stuff'. I do agree with that.
I do think society pushes on us standards to have as much as possible. But that's because we live in a consume society and it's in the companies' best interest for us to just want more and more. When all is said and done, I think people should do whatever makes and keeps them happy.
But if you are 'cursed' to have the desire to be high-performance, not settle for average and make ur life epic, it's not gonna help settling for less and trying to be happy with that, because in the back of your mind you will always know you are squandering your potential and I think that's a hard burden to carry.

I'm not that mad. Coach senpai told me my game is pretty good, and I'm definitely a winner in my games, I just need to work on keeping focused during sessions, play less tables, table select hard.
Normally I would be very frustrated for just stagnating for so long, but for some weird reason, this time I have faith in myself that I got this.
Tomorrow will post another vBlog in 2015 lessons series.
For some reason, I've been ignoring the hot girl section lately. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's why I've been running bad .. NO MORE!
perfect
Meanwhile, there have been some ideas circling around in my head... I think I have big subtle mental leaks when perceiving the game..
So for example I'll be playing my normal sessions and when I see I'm up quite a bit at the tables, my brain starts slightly disengaging like 'ok I can relax now'.
The crazy thing is I have been reading studies on how your behavior and choices differ greatly depending on how ur goals are framed in ur mind, progress vs commitment. Mindfucking to see I'm doing this even during my sessions.
Just wanted to post this here because I think it's very important
thanks Zanardi, i know it's the only reason u're here
Finally took the time to render this
A short clip where I go a bit indepth on how the concept of accountability helped me in my journey and how it actually is pretty elusive and hard to proactively keep in your life.
Mental Game - Today I noticed after losing a few big pots, I may unconsciously switch to ' I have to win that money back' mode. This could infuse subtle (-EV) changes in my play style. Keep an eye out

Recently I restarted reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, Emperor of Rome and Original Gangster. Today a topic struck a cord, regarding our need to have our good deeds recognized. I imagined it would be cool to make a vBlog on it. Then acted on it
I'm still practicing my delivery skills, so feedback is welcome. This vid I kinda improvised on the fly.Maybe it's better than having pre-written ideas?
there is a way to read that book in a few hours
listen to the audio book and read same time... you can put the audio book at 2x speed
2 senses gives more understanding and it is easier and you remember more

This is actually a pretty interesting approach and makes sense, thanks yo
@2reac yeah it's fine, I took a few NL200 shots myself
Loving the vibe in this song
Pretty pic that goes perfectly with the tune
Weekly BR Challenge Report Played Hands: 7.949 Results: $731 Current BR: $8.836 33 weeks
Plan is to get up to $10k and start taking shots at 200NL, I am WAY more confident in my game now. I feel I have a pretty solid gameplan, I just need to start pushing ppl around more. Keep my focus levels in check and I should be good.
Mentally, I feel how I'm doing with poker overall has a great impact on my overall mood, even though I don't really like to admit it. Maybe it's because right now it's the only thing I have going on right now. I'm trying to stay neutral to results (even thinking about not posting gifs related to my results lol).
