Will you be so kind to share your thoughts?

I think you split with 8x and lose to T8. Put it in equilab and see.

Villain can also have a set - especially 99 - here sometimes and have completely misread our range.

I'm in favour of the call. We block many 8x so very few T8 combos in the villain's range here.

I was thinking, that he wasn't suppose to have 108 there in his calling CO range. So I cannot fold without info, that he's completely station raising only nuts on the river:). Besides I saw many silly staffs so far.

He can call T8s preflop sometimes but it is only 2 combos and also you are at the absolute top of your range. I wouldn't be that happy with other 8x but at least 88 has to be a call with the blockers.

As you do not provide any stats we cannot rule out all T8s hands...
He may have them.

But would he call T8s on flop and turn vs UTG 2x bet?
