I like xc turn better. This is one of the bad sides when having a set on a monotone board.

After CO calls your big flop bet I would slow down. 89 makes a straight and flushes are possible. We started this hand multiway. You can't go crazy with sets.

My line at boardsl ike this is bet pot on flop and turn.
As played, I'm calling his min raise and evaluate river.

So when it is clear that villain has a flush you want to donate another pot size bet to him?
What hands will call PSB in monotone connected board?
And then what hands will call another psb OTT?

Well, it is not a good strategy. On a monotone board you bet to charge the FDs but not that big as you suggest.
When someone calls your potbet on flop what do you expect him to have?
You should try to see river for cheapest possibe and see if you can improve.

OTF I expect calls from QQ-JJ, AK, AQ, OTT calls from completed FD.
With potting flop and turn I think you could pretty sure assume that villian have only flush and easily fold river. While calling ½ PSB OTT and OTR it's hard to determine villain strength, he could have bluffs, nuts, valuehands. Set is strong hand and I don't want give initiative to villain so I bet big.

Maybe it's a wrong strategy, that's why I'm here :f_thumbsup:

Do not make PSB then.

While the chances of flopping a flush are very low, when he calls your big flop bet, you should slow down. But I don't blame you for playing the hand the way you did. It's hard to lay down a set in this spot.

JJ-QQ might find a fold on this board since you have better overpairs in your range and calling would get extremely expensive for them. AK,AQ can call if there is Ah.

Here you should charge draws but do it with smaller betsize so you won't isolate yourself vs flushes.
OTT weaker hands are not going to call so your psb is a very expensive way to get info if you are beat. You should bet smaller and keep villains range wide. That way you could even shove river. Since villain hit QQ, the outcome could be the same but it doesn't matter. Betting smaller is better line in the long run.

What bet size would be optimal for flop and turn?

I might go around 1/2 - 2/3 and then x/c turn. If villain calls our bet on that kind of board it is better to slow down a bit imo. Our hand is not the nuts here.

1/2-2/3 on flop is optimal and then xc turn, as I wrote earlier.

This is how I play overpairs on a monotone board...but sets are to strong to pull a brake even on flop like this. Maybe bet size OTT could be a little bit smaller like 1/2-2/3 PSB, agree with this.
We are OOP with strong hand, even if we are behind OTF and OTT we have 10 outs to improve so think that second barell is ok.

You should not change your bet sizes according to your hand strength like this. If you bet OTF very big, what hands will call you? You are repping very strong hands and isolating yourself vs better hands. You want to keep villains range wider. When villain calls your flop bet he most likely has a very strong hand. He has flushes, straights, higher sets and some overpairs and overcards that have good equity against you. I would say you are way ahead/way behind OTT and you should play it passively. If you keep on betting you might end up losing a lot but you won't get much value by doing so because villain will fold any weaker hands.

This is not about pure aggression. We have a hand that has SD value.

I'm playing as the original poster did. Any good A♥: can do this with us and as insurance we have a redraw to a full boat.

I expect small flushes will raise to protect themselves OTF rather than OTT so I would actually have ruled out the villain's showed down holding. Flatting a street then shoving the turn with it is about the least sensible way to play a small suited connector flush here (either you flat for pot control or you raise to protect your hand against big draws and accept the burn when you sometimes stack off with a flopped underflush).

Against a range of TT / 66, AhQx-Ah6x (including double heart nut hands), KhQh, JhQh, 8h9h, 4h5h, we still have more than 55% of it.

slowplaying TT or 66 here like this is dumb, but so is slowplaying 45s, and if we add one, we add both.

Actually if you will have a heap of trouble folding to a completed obvious draw with a set (or straight or two pairs) against certain villains, the obvious response is to oversize your bets and push the draw out of the pot. A flush flop might not be the spot for that as a 4th heart turns a set into a trash hand and a much easier fold, but sometimes your best hands absolutely need to see bigger bet sizings. Consider it additional protection against the implied odds you know you are giving to drawers.

If we lose we lose. We are destined on a board like this. The A♣: is a perfect card four us. We hope villain holds A♥: and fire again. He'll call (or raise) with that very likely holding. If he happens to have 5♥: as the second card or if he flopped a straight with 9♠:8♠: (unlikely since he didn't raise flop), well, then that's just bad luck. This is not the spot to see a cheap river, this is the spot to charge A♥:T♣: the maximum since we likely can't (should,'t) get away anyway. I see that Jessica is plotting the same way.

Edit: I do recognize Nitrol's and Lassie's point. I argue that it is too late when we are at the turn. Deeper stacks, then yes, but not here imo.
