I snap fold here without some kind of read supporting a decision against doing so.
Even if the villain only does this with a classic AK, QQ+ range we only have 39% of it, and his hero-shove 3bet has alleviated us of the need to make a crying call.
Even if we add JJ, AQs, 89s and 78s (the last to two represent some odd bluffs) we still only have 46% of it - which we still cant call as we are calling almost 49%.
To create a profitable call we need more dominated aces in his range - AQo AJs. Adding the entire range of pocket pairs (which some villains will shove) only weakens our equity, of course, as AK is narrowly behind every pocket pair.
Without reads of villains 3bet shove tendencies I think we should fold and wait for better spot.
Let's say we open about 35% pre beeing on the BU. I just hit it in Equilab, took the standart pokerstrategy.com Tight openrange and it gave me some 36% range, which corresponds to 478 combos. If we call this shove w/KK+, we fold 466 times and call 12 w/approx 76% equity (vs KK+; 98s; 96o for crazy play). This can't be right, we are autolosing everytime villain shoves pre against us opening more than 20% and more than 2x.

3bet shove is so rare that we don't have to start adjusting and defending vs that. If villain 3bet shoves 10% of his range for example, then it is a different case. Here villain is unknown and probably doing this for the first time with us. There is no implication that his shove could be 98s,96o etc.. We can fold and be safe.

Imo, we face a shove too rarely to make adjustments. I would try to see some showdowns of villain and then expand my calling range accordingly.
easy fold, this looks way too strong. if we see him doing it more often we can discuss abotu it. but for one hand just fold and be safe.
If you adjust it is by calling with dominant hands like QQ JJ TT 99. You dont really want to see AK vs 96o as the villain has 40% of it there anyway.
This is the kind of hand that shouldn't be analyzed. Even with reads it is really up to you if you want to play a leveling war with your opponent.
