Once I deposit new starting capital I will:
1) start a blog "I now see the importance"
2) get sotfware!
3) Start analyzing my losing hands
4) Post hands
5) Study more religously not just read once and go to next article.
6) set goals

My daily updates are going bad, as you could notice) I was breaking even over the weekend with ss for about 5k hands or so, so didn't have much to update) and later i was busy collecting what i missed on the weekend)

The part i liked was about how human intentions can affect random distribution) Basically, the guy said that from 1960's till now hundreds of experiments where conducted, where people had tried to make random generator produce more 1 then 0 intentionally and succeeded)

As You might / might not now I coach SSS on the hungarian forum, and I somewhat beleive in that "mind over RNG", I once asked the "pupils" to ask loudly, all at one time for a 4 on the river for me to beat the big pocket with the riverset...Guess what came with only 4.3% ♦
Based on Your experience, which pokerroom do You like the most for SSS (regarding playability and bonus etc..) and do You prefer very fishy tables over 40% p/f? Some say because of the too many fishes on those tables its kinda hard to win..
And have You heard about the minraise game that some german guys are doing over nl600 minraise and minbet some situations with SSS eg. alaton...? I only had the chance to hear about it, but dont know whats in the background of it, we talked about it with xarry2 too but couldnt really figure it out, maybe its something interesting...

Prima/Ongame looks the most suitable option, because they allow 10BB buy-ins
However, Mansion doesn't offer any rakeback, unless you are skilled enough to extract value from MTT tickets.
I don't do absolutely any table selection, because there aren't so many high stakes FR tables, so I just play on all of them.
But in general, I wouldn't pay a lot of attention to the lobby statistics, its just not reliable and players are moving so fast. But in those kind of games your goal is simply to put money in as early as possible.

yes, I have heard of it, of course. When you open 4BB preflop, your stack:pot ratio is so small (high pot odds) that you have to shove nearly any flop (cbet for sure). This fact makes our pf range incredibly tight w/o much possibility to widen up. It also makes our game way easier.
The problem here is that against a good opponent we are playing nearly with open hole cards)
When you open for 2BB your range can be way wider. You still can easily get money in when you hit (its not that tough to put in 18BB on 3 streets), but you can get away easily when you missed. And your hands become more deceptive. For instance, opponents will be less inclined to play back on rag flops
It requires some postflop experience though
and here comes the moment of truth - why I've never played and will never play this strategy
because the difference between my winrate and alaton's winrate (I don't really know it, but it just couldn't be substantially higher) simply doesn't cover the difference in complexity of my strategy and his)
I mean, if someone feels like he is very good postflop, but can't get any value because he has to push any flop, the good idea is to start switching to the deep stack poker, not trying to make simple profitable strategy complicated, but slightly more profitable.

to be honest, i don't have much to tell you about) poker wise autumn 2008 was a complete shit) i totally gave up a studying process and was grinding way way too much) combined with an extremely bad run it brought me pretty much nowhere))
eventually, I got exhausted and decided to make a month break from all poker activities) break took a bit longer, so know i am exactly where i started from - nl 200 hu) but this time better Brm approach and more learning)
1 really funny and pleasant thing happened, however)) i managed to get a compensation for the absence of luck in poker) one day i went to buy cigarettes in a newspaper shop. i didn't have coins for a cigarette machine, so i bought the cheapest thing i've found around to get a change - 50c lottery ticket)
guess what)) i won 10k ♦ ♦
what else... tried to play some live poker in a local 2/5 fr cash game) The game is pretty soft, but I got bored very soon) so i gave it up after 20 hours or so) one reason is because nobody speaks English there, so you have to sit quiet and keep folding) I will try it again when the tourist season comes) Really nice game is 5/10 plo, but i don't have a bankroll, nor skill for that)
I also have 2 students now) one is playing nl 50hu another one 20's hu sng's) I figured its way easier to tell people what to do, other then do it myself ♦
and finally i've read a poker book called Zen in the art of poker or so) its quite cool and very easy to read. It doesn't teach you any technical aspects of the game, but discusses general approach to the game. not that i've learned a lot, but some things made me reconsider my approach to the session organization and some other general things.
