This is fantastic. Finished the 2 first quest in 40 hands and aimed for under 100. But it took ages for AA to come. My plan was to go all-in but my reptile brain took over and I went 3bet, raise on flop, raise on turn and got a fold. Phew!
Sadly only a 1$ reward.

Don't focus on bad beat, they have nothing beneficial and just leave a sour taste. You played the hand well, put your money when you were ahead, that is all that should matter. focus on improving your game

Oh, Yes. The thing is that I had to gear down to NL2 this summer cause of severe stupidity and just this month I aimed at NL5 again. Doing fine there but it was kind of fun to play on NL10 with these interesting quests. And it helps that the otherwise mandatory nit-game has loosened up because people try to hit some stupid combination.
So I am out of my comfort zone and out of my brm so I'm mentally vulnerabel. At NL2 I had just laughed at those hands.
And what seems to have happened with my game this summer was that I thought that the enviroment had gotten harder to beat but as I try to analyze my game it seems that I have tried to fix some leaks in my blinds-game but I rather seems to have introduced new leaks. Especially in the small blind.
So this last 2 months I have tried to adjust my blinds-game and it does seem to improve my winrate so I feel comfortable at NL5 again.
But NL10 is still a bit scary.

"En fisk försöker nå ytan". I'm struggling with my poker-game as well as trying to express myself in english. I don't know which I do worst.
After no less than 3 occurences of AA -> 3bet and meeting an all-in from villain and meets JJ and of course gets an third jack in the face and maybe the regs had get enough stats to figure me out I'm outa NL10 for this time.
If I look at my account I at least seems to have made a lot of rewards - I lost track of them.
So now I'm back at NL5 for the good hours of the day and NL2 for the thougher ones. Even if some part of me whishes that I should have quitted on top of the graph (I had just reached Silverstar status) It has been a valuable experience.
OK. Now I', done with quests and stuff. Just going to play my game. Switching between NL2 and NL5. Strangely it seems that it is a bit easier to play on NL5. Or it is more rewarding if you follow your game-plan and very unforgiving if you leave the path.
I'm running the Pokersnowie free trial. It does seems to be a tool that could help a slow learner like me. As I know it is a limited amount of hands you can get analyzed I just saved my hands that I f*cked-up. And got a rather sour grade from snowie. Then I run a session that felt really good and run the analyzer.
At least they know how to flatter.
I thought I oughta playin safe so I have spend the morning on NL2. It did not end well. I run 12 dollars back on what I belive to be bad luck. I stepped up to NL5 t win back my money and actually won back eight of them.
I run the worst hands through Pokersnowie and snowie didn't have much nice to say to me. On of the hands puzzled me though.

Pokersnowie says that I made a blunder not going all-in. As I see it I have not invested any money in it and I see a lot of bad possibilitys for me.
A better session this morning. Pokersnowie says I'm doing fine.
And todays graph looks exactly as it should.
And when I start to review my blunder accordingly to Pokersnowie I see that todays greatest winning was considered a blunder. I have no memory of the hand. I don't seem to have any stats on him but I think I have met him on the phone and considered him to be "peculiar".

Can't say that it was much of a thought process here. Hitting the straight was good of course. My plan was to get either one of them to fold and hope that the other one had two pairs or a set and would remain beaten at showdown. My fear was to meet a nut flush.
That hand left me in a good mood.
I have put in some serious volume on Zoom NL2 and strangely it gets thougher the more I play. I'ts hard to interpret the stats. Of course a lot of players got good stats and too few have obvious exploitable flaws. It is hard to win big and too easy to loose big.
So by coincidence I started to mark those that plays 4 tables. And somehow this seems to explain a lot. About half the players on any given Zoom-table is four-tabling. Assuming this means that they are harder to exploit and easier to be exploited by I can understand whats happening. At the same time I gather stats on them they get stats on me and I'm propably more exploitable. They span from very loose to very tight but in general these players is the ones that gives me the most trouble.
That's it.
Now I'm laying down poker for a while. It's okey as long as I have rubbish hands or mediocre. Then I can scrap some thin value out of it. But as soon as I get a monster hand, hit a set, straight, flush or full house I'm so screwed.
Okey. 14 days away from the tables. Started a bit soft with a session of 685 hands. 5 dollars up and a winrate of 36,8 bb/100.
It is hard to tell if the wind has changed but I had some bad beats but It felt like I had an overall edge over the field. Actually I used that "Zoomwatcher"-thing to avoid the worst hours. That a player plays 4 zoom-tables on NL2 doesn't necessarlily say that they are good. Not at all. But they have better autopilots and easily spot draws and possible full houses. And big pots gets their attention. On small pots they are easier to get to fold.
I haven't really bothered with these things before but of course it is another interesting information. If a player has a superstack, is fourtabling and has good stats in general he propably is good. But a shortstacker with disharmonic stats possibly is exploitable even for me.
It is so strange. After my break everything is so smooth and easy.
I end up with 9 dollars down on Pokerstars and feel quite happy about it. I feared that I would end up loosing 50 dollars in march.
I played a short session on Svenska Spel and made some 60 dollars. Though it is the fishiest site on earth I hate it. But it is worth some pain to make it a winning month in the end.
I don't know if it's my game that has gotten worse or if it's harder on Zoom nowadays. My plan was to make some 30-40 dollars a month in average to cover buying gold status on Pokerstrategy but it seems hard to do that now.
30 cents down in april and 6 dollars up in may just not good enough.
Personally i dont think Zoom have got harder lately,, so probably you are just at wrong side variance.
As a suggestion why dont you take the chance to post and discuss some hands in hand discussion forum where you can get good feedback at your play + every day you would get some bonus points for your status in our hand discussion promo,

Yeah. I know that I should post more hands for review but the hands I mark when I play always is so selfexplainating where I f*cked up so theres little point in posting them.
The hands I SHOULD discuss just get lost in the masses of hands that Zoom-playing creates.
Talking about variance I don't have that feeling that variance is against me. It was so earlier this spring but not any longer. I win some and lose some as it should be.
