Spoiler

A few reasons why my winrate wasn't that high.
- I was trying to play on 4 tables for 30 minutes
- I played longer sessions than 45 minutes and increased to 1 hour though devastating by combining 4 tables at the same time
- My Internet at home sucked over the weekend
so lost quite some value there as well (that is why I am writing this blog today, have some time left)
Literature
Spoiler
Last week I finished the first book of The Mental Game of Poker by Jared Tendler and Berry Carter
This book has helped me so much to understand more of myself in a deeper way. I have always known that I had certain fears, confidence and time management problems. However, I never considered so many factors. I also must say that I shouldn't be bashing myself with this by saying to myself things like 'how come you have never seen this?! You are so reflective upon things, you should've known better and had to write reports before about these things'. During my journey it's what I thought sometimes. However, I can also say that during my studies we had to do a lot of reflections. The only difference here is that these reflections were mostly based on a 'business story' rather than really dig into yourself. I am thinking of buying a book of how to work on confidence problem and fear of failure, since these are my greatest weaknesses. I am OK to have these up to a certain extend but do not want these fear overrule my choices I want to make. I am now 27 years old and am glad that I have the opportunity to know at this age my real strengths and weaknesses. Of course, there most probably are way more. However, with regards to what I want, these are relevant to work on
I just started with MGoP 2 and do not instantly like it as such. Most probably this is because it is not anymore a so called 'hit in the face'. Rather, it is now really work on your game to get the best out of yourself. Therefore, on suggestion of the book, I will start writing my 'A-journal'. This is just a word file in which I write and describe my full thinking when I play my A-game. I believe when I do this for a while, I will get way more out of myself than I would have ever imagined
I will keep you posted for more guys, I stay positive about my game!
Game Analysis
Spoiler
I am not sure if I will do this correctly and IF I even should pay attention to these things
However, I just want to do it and see whether it makes sense.
Graph
Spoiler

You know, I looked back to my messages and from the moment I was on around 4K hands, I decided to take coaching classes and after the first week I showed the graph for the week and stated the following:
As for my graph results, I am very pleased to see a sustainable upwards in it (could it be... )
To soon of course to jumping to conclusions, but anyway
Well, I can definitely say now that it is because of my coaching sessions with Vonki
Just look at the graph (without taking money into consideration). How in the world could I have ever thought I could do this?!
In the end, of course, I did all the work but the initiative Vonki has made by helping others who struggle at the micros is a great gesture toward us in which many could take an example out of it
Cheers for that and look forward to much more to come in which I will be able to make right decisions because with every session and every discussion, that is what you display by yourself toward me
Position
Below is a table (in spoiler) that will show how much profit I have made this year on each position.
Spoiler

As you can see, the good news is that I make most money on BTN play. However, I lose quite a lot on the BB and also on SB. Without going into speculation outside the scope of this table, I have talked about this during my coaching and I should recap this. This will be on my to-do list below after my analysis. I also want to dig deeper into the MP position. My profit is very low here and it should have a reason. I am not sure though what exactly is this reason. I have a couple of ideas but I want to figure it out and come back on this at a later stage.
Variance
Spoiler

Even though, I have my own Excel file about variance, I just wanted to confirm my mental thoughts in which it becomes clear here that there always is variance, although in the longer term, profitable situations are indeed profitable and less profitable situations do indeed make losses.
Winnings/Losses vs Player
In order to protect the integrity of the players, I do not show the table nor has it any use since I can be very clear in my analysis here. I checked my opponents which I had the biggest loss and mostly they were aggressive fish. This was no big surprise. The only good thing about what I saw during my observation for my biggest losses is that I had no big loss in March yet against such an aggressive fish. I believe this is a good thing
However, just that I gain more and more control over them, doesn't mean I am already there. It also might be that I lost opportunity somewhere, who knows?! There is still much more to come and even more to learn. Stay tight!
Multi Table Report
Spoiler

As this was also no surprise. I still make loss on 4 tables. However, I finally start making profit when I play 3 tables. Do you guys think it is a good idea to keep on doing this even though it looks now that the profit is low? I think it is low now because I started making losses on 3 tables..
To do List
Based on my Game Analysis I have a couple of things I would like to do.
Review the coaching session with Vonki about SB vs BB
Find out what exactly makes my profit minimal on MP - This may take a while

Do you think I made a right bet OTR? I did this actually to control how much the bet would be by not to get re-raised. Or I just didn't have enough equity to even call OTR?

The Q OTT was actually a really good card for me IMO. However, by the call OTT I was almost certain he had a made hand OTF. Or do you guys think I should have played the entire hand differently?
Alright guys, this is it for now. The first part of my journey was definitely something to remember and I learned a lot. I looked through all my messages again yesterday and I just see how much I have come to know. Most probably I will say the same thing in a couple of months again
Be sure to follow my Dropbox for really extensive analyses and assignments as well
I must say I did hold back in giving many theories about my game since I would be showing many hands in order to backup my arguments. Hope that is fine. However, when someone asks me questions of how I came to the thoughts, I am definitely willing to share my ideas
I do thank the readers who like this blog and my writing style. Not everyone has a 'click' with everyone's writing style and that's OK. The most important thing is that it may give you inspiration, new thoughts or ideas since this is why you do it. You shouldn't do it for me. Rather, do things to get the best out of yourself. That is my best advice that I can give you atm
Cheers,
Hesticus
