Was running very good early on then started getting horribly out drawn. Also did a very unnecessary triple barrel bluff that was my worst played hand of the day.

Pretty good results today. Made sure I focused and stuck to good fundamentals and it helped tremendously. Yesterday I was up almost $8 and lost a big chunk towards the end but tonight I made sure I did not spew my winnings. I think I will start to have focus sessions to work on specific parts of my game now. My goal recently was trying to play as naturally as possible to see where my leaks are and I am beginning to see a lot of them.

My position play has improved greatly since I started but my opening ranges need a lot of work. I tend to also get too loose as I play more/my stack gets bigger and this is a problem I really need to nail down. So much more to work on but I look forward to improving my game and being as prepared as possible for the next stake, NL5!

Despite decent results I was really unhappy with my play. Started off with a focus session of practicing 100% aggression on one table and it was going rather well although I was down around 30-50 cents. It really helped me and I think it was a good exercise. Then I decided to open 3 more tables and it was going fine until I had a run on one of my tables full of calling stations that constantly beat me on the river with insane hands. Fortunately I managed to really limit the damage and was able to fold to aggression with mediocre holdings.

Good news is I ordered The Mental Game of Poker and expecting it in my mail tomorrow. I think I will learn a lot from it. :f_grin:

Got pretty sick since yesterday so could not play or put any time into studying. Fortunately after many hours of rest I mustered up the energy to play clear headed enough. Focused on playing position and still on opening ranges. I really want to get into 3-betting and other areas but I know I should focus on one thing at a time.

Was looking through my stats this morning and just realized how much I am being DESTROYED by rake at NL2.

My C Won is currently at $48.05 but Rake Attrib is $43.88 :f_ugly:
Essentially only making $4.17 (over 12.5K hands) more than the site itself!

I remember years ago when I had decent rakeback deals on other sites but I never played NL2 before and seeing this is just shocking. I have been contemplating for several weeks on moving my bankroll from 888poker to another site for a good rakeback deal but the games are just so soft here. If I move to a reg infested site I know my BB/100 will take a massive hit so really need to find that balance or simply refine my game tenfold before even thinking of switching.

All-in-all, this is truly a sign there isn't much incentive to stay at NL2 for long although it's been pretty fun and the continual progress has been exciting.

Yeah that is pretty harsh, but I think that's just how it is in the micros. Also gonna try to get outta there as fast as possible...
Unfortunately it's still gonna be quite a long way I think

Thanks so much! Wish you all the best on your adventure too! Unfortunately I cannot assist you in PLO strategies/advice since I am not that great of a player although it is a game I would love to master in the future.

I have quite a bit of grinding left to do as well until I can hit the NL4/NL5 tables. Starting from nothing is a long, long grind and I plan on keeping a very conservative bankroll management structure as I move up.

Got ITM in a daily freeroll today (first time :f_drink:) for $0.20 but wow does it take a lot of time for a chance at a few pennies :f_zZz: I try to participate in them when I can but the blinds go up so fast that you really need to get lucky a few times early on just to survive. Personally not my thing but at least it's free and gives me a bit of practice at MTTs if I ever get into them.

Was not playing well at all today to be perfectly honest but I am still quite sick and just started recovering. Also had some pretty super bad beats where my sets ran into both a runner runner straight draw and flush draw. Fortunately I had two major fishes at one table and stacked both of them right before midnight to be up for the day :f_thumbsup:

:spade: RESULTS OF THE DAY :spade:

HANDS PLAYED: 462
PROFIT/LOSS: + $2.87 + $0.20
BANKROLL: $75.57

Thank you very much! Quite possibly on an extended heater but this is only NL2 as well. Hopefully I can keep this up.

I am from Ontario! Born and raised.

I rarely tilt but today I definitely did and spewed a lot of chips. A result of a few painful bad beats but we all know the excuses we throw out when we are playing poorly. I was playing extremely well most of the night but that does not matter if you end up going on tilt and spewing chips when you know the plays you are making are wrong. Totally disappointed with my play and will hope to take it as a lesson.

I did get ITM in the daily freeroll though.

Not much to say except I had very little time to play today so I played more tables and went very aggressive which needless to say did not go well. I was definitely still feeling the tilt from yesterday and experienced a few more bad beats. Eventually I did play quite well but did not manage to extract enough from my premium hands.

Thanks man! Appreciate the support! I quite enjoy your blog too and wish you the best!

Today's session is really a continuation of yesterday's into the early morning. Played well and consistent but definitely struggled in many post flop situations. Going to study this long weekend since I won't be able to play much at all.
