ATo squeeze

$0.10/$0.20 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

SB: $20.72 (103.6 bb)
Hero (BB): $20.04 (100.2 bb)
UTG: $18.23 (91.2 bb)
MP: $42.03 (210.2 bb)
CO: $32.59 (163 bb)
BTN: $19.09 (95.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A T
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.60, CO folds, BTN calls $0.60, SB folds, Hero raises to $2.40, MP calls $1.80, BTN calls $1.80

Flop: ($7.30) 9 7 3 (3 players)
Hero bets $3.65, MP calls $3.65, BTN folds

Turn: ($14.60) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $13.99 and is all-in

MP 28/21 reg. btn 21/13 reg, ~300 hands on both.

Flop is dry. Villains have probably missed it like me or then they have something like TT. I could give up here ( I don't see giving up as a mistake) but I decided to cbet.

Turn: I get to heads up with MP. I think that he has still a lot of weak hands in his range like TT and JJ. Floats are less likely because the flop was 3 ways ( I think that he almost never floats here with AQ for example). I think that QQ+ would have 4bet

I decided to shove because I think that he can't call my shove with many hands.

First, do they fold vs a squeeze?
Second, This flop is everything else but not dry! And is hitting the calling ranges.
Third, for a 100th time - do not turn a plus EV preflop move into minus EV postflop one...

I think your squeeze is too wide.
We have A high on this flop, no draws. Flop doesn't hit our range. It hits villains calling range much much more. I think this cbet is not good.
OTT QQ doesn't necessarily 4bet pre. AQ is possible. Strong draws are possible.

How much you would bet with QQ,AQ,KK+? That shove looks like either nuts that need protection or a complete bluff. Maybe that turn shove is not terrible but I don't like pre sqz or flop cbet.

Maybe for someone. I think it might be a little too wide. If both villains are folding a lot to squeezes then it is fine.
Our hand is not that strong and it is not suited. We are squeezing OOP. And am I totally wrong if I say that AJ+ are better because those kickers block villains range more than T? Our SPR is going to be low and it would be better to play with higher equity hands. That's why I think ATo is kind of borderline squeeze.

You are squeezing to make them fold first, and have blockers, second...

I just watched w34z3l's video about squeezing (academy series). ATo wasn't in his SQZ BBvsLP range on that video. But he also said that there is no such thing as standard sqz range and our range should be dynamic. We can change it in different situations but here if we have no info vs 2 regs I would fold it by default.

So, I think this is player dependent but without info I prefer folding.

Well, I prefer to squeeze it here. It is me dependant. :)

Very nice hand, I would play it the same. preflop sqeeze is standard, flop is great cbet spot with 2 overcards and you can bluff +EV on Q, K, also the board misses their ranges so you should have enough FE. Turn is a great spot for bluff, it turns most of his hands into midpairs, or underpairs, and Q improves your range hard (KQ and AQ), so you dont have so many bluffs in range left.

Well firstly I would fold this hand preflop. If you don't have anything infos about your opponents this move can make you hard situations otf if one or both of them calls pre. I don't even think it will be that much +EV. You won't know your opponents ranges otf without any information given. And you can make the hand into a -EV hand as you did here. And yes a Q,K can be a good card to barrel but that is only 14 cards (3-3 A,T 4-4 K,Q). Even if you hit they won't pay you with worse hands, but they can have sets. And I didn't even mentioned that even when you bluffing on a Q or K they can call with TT or JJ sometimes.

Look, the main purpose of the squeeze here is to take the pot preflop. When squeezing as a bluff, you should be aware not to barrel every flop but the floor that favour us.

I doubt that MP is floating with a hand like AQ here because BTN is still acting after him.

What hands does this hand hit? IMO villains will have a lot of hands like KQs,89s,TT etc. and A high cards doesn't float multiway and all the smaller pairs fold to turn shove and I can collect the dead money.

They fold enough but maybe I have too small sample size on that stat and I don't need to squeeze wide yet.

But tell me what hands villains have that can call flop and call turn shove?

AQs with one of the flop colours may call...
99,77are definitely calling.
I have seen JJ-TT too.
As a whole Qx will call you.

The mistake here IMO is that Hero wanted MP to fold but the BTN folded instead after the cbet and MP continued with a strong range.

That is true. BTN would have been super capped but from MP's range we can exclude only KK+.

Could be AQs with BDFD. Your flop cbet is very often total air so I can see that calling.
Those hands nitrol mentioned are pretty realistic.

That is correct. Villain might still have some combos.
