$0.10/$0.20 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (SB): $22.46 (112.3 bb)
BB: $25.66 (128.3 bb)
UTG: $20 (100 bb)
MP: $19.84 (99.2 bb)
CO: $6.28 (31.4 bb)
BTN: $21.76 (108.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8 7
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.50, BB calls $0.30

Flop: ($1) A 6 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.60, BB calls $0.60

Turn: ($2.20) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks

River: ($2.20) Q (2 players)
Hero ?

Pretty standard hand.

Villain is a reg playing 20/13 in 500 hands. Fold to steal 77(47 cases)

Pre & flop standard.

Do you bet this turn or check? I decided to check this time but I'm not sure if I should bet or check. Maybe it is good to bet again on this dry board? On the other hand I don't like barreling Axx boards.

And when he checks back on the turn do you stab river?

If he has a low WTSD I would bet the turn and river as well. But the turn bet can be a question of his stats.

We are cbetting this flop like always.
I am not convinced that a player that folds a lot preflop and defends that little, who has called a Axx cbet will fold anything OTT...
Xf river...

Just give up OTR. You don't rep anything.

River went x/x and villain showed ATo. Just wondering if the turn is better to x or bet. Mabye it is good as played.

Vs decent opponent if you bet OTT you also should bet OTR(most) , because he can fold some backdoors or Qx. But nit doesn't have much, except an A. No FE - no bet.
OTR you can rep a Q, but villain can't. The question is how big you should bet to make him fold an A? I'd rather bet like $3, when i have it, and never bluff.

Villain called dry A high flop. I doubt you will get many folds OTT if you bet. It opens just more draws and hits villains range too.

We shouldn't have a queen here very often. Or are we betting flop with air and then checking turn when we hit?

Villain can play low Ax like this. He will try desperately to get them to showdown as cheap as possible.

We can have a Q but not that often. Axx flop is a flop you will barrel with Qx like always. When you hit OTT you can xc...
The problem is that it is rare and Ax will call you as they seem to know they have 2 streets of value.

Yes, and villain has quite many Ax hands that will call here.

Well, I suppose that they are many and all will call.
