6k Challenge Day 10/40

Total games on 3$ limit so far 1041/6000
Profit +105$
ITM 37.4%
ROI 3.36%
4 and 6 tabling
7$ limit
Profit -91$
Total 1127 games, 25 hours 6 minutes
ITM 35.3%
ROI 1.05%
Combined 52 hours 5 minutes and 2168/6000

Very bad day for poker!
Yesterday internet and Stars dropped me 6 buy ins, today my HM2 was going crazy and I had to stop 2 sessions because of it. That killed my rhythm and momentum and I totally lost motivation to play today. Results wise I lost maybe 20 buy ins today or so plus I played 4 instead of 5 hours that I initially planed.
Other things that happened today is I used new color coding system. That totally readjusted my game plan in a bad way I think. I definitely have to look into tournaments from yesterday and today. Also, I started changing my game today to have better red line which didn't really work while 6 tabling so I am definitely going to either continue grinding game plan that i have set or drop tables and readjust strategy (play with laser focus in HU to maximize ITM).

I also spent a lot of time figuring out the challenge that will happen from 1st of April. Major goal, side goals, time frame, steady grind, study times and rewards. I was also looking into guitar and music teaching so far and what I can realistically expect in following 9 months. Things are looking very good for music in fact today I got another student starting following Monday! Poker on the other hand not looking so great. I am BE pre RB, I started changing my game today while 6 tabling and it made my life even harder. Good news is that I did make some money so far (from RB alone 125$ - 1% closer to my goal!) and I am definitely learning every day tendencies from opponents on 7$. Tomorrow I am looking forward to study with elpsycho and look into a lot of areas how to improve the win rate. I may take a day off tomorrow to study, do HH review, complete tables for different areas of the game (to recap things) and to write out detailed new challenge!

2016 Challenge or saving 12k$ in remaining 9 months

I have really given a lot of thought into how to design the whole challenge since I will be dedicating 9 months of my life to it. There were a lot of doubts regarding time frame, daily and monthly volume, studying and reviewing times, number of tables for multi-tabling, whether to use HM2 or PT4, time set aside for all the other things going on my life etc. In the end I landed on initial target which is to save 12k$ by 1st of January 2017. I will now talk about two key areas when it comes to saving and making this money and address ways how I plan to approach them.

Guitar and Music Lessons
i am very happy and excited how things are going with my students. In previous 2 weeks since I came back from Boston USA, I have been teaching on average 10 hours per week. This average allows me to pay my monthly expenses here in Serbia and save on top of it money. Starting April, I will put money aside on special account from guitar and music lessons. The way it will work is following: Needed money for the monthly expenses will be withdrawn as it arives from different payments and every payment on top of that will be transfered to a different account which will be used for saving money. I will also update in the blog each month how much money I saved through guitar and music teaching as this challenge is about saving 12k$ and not related to going to 30s or anything like that!

Here are now rewards when the each month is finished!
For every 100$ that I save from teaching, I will reward myself by going to see some movie in the cinema. For every 250$ saved from teaching I will reward myself with my favorite meal in the restaurant. For every 500$ saved from teaching I will treat my dad and friends in my favorite restaurant. For every 1k$ saved from teaching I will take a day off and go for a full relaxation in spa. For 2k saved I will buy some additional music equipment for my lessons. For 3k saved I will go out and party hard with minimum 1 girl and more likely with 2 or 3. For 4k saved I will go and schedule laser eye surgery appointment. For 5k saved I will schedule dentist appointment for adding a tooth.
With current teaching hours I can expect to save up to 5k$ (realistically 3k!) in next 9 months with fixed expenses as they are now. Of course with more students I will have more hours therefore make and save more money. On Monday another student should start so I am working towards adding 3 more students and closing the doors for the time being!
These rewards will be also transferred to poker accomplishments and I will add some more things with poker savings such as taking my favorite girls out to a perfect date and starting to save for investing and starting to invest! Also every time I make 2k post RB on 7$ limit I will take 10 buy ins and reward myself to take a shoot at 15$ limit.

Poker
Area which I am sure interests most of you more especially how I decided to approach the challenge for poker and follow up on it. Without talking too much about it, here are the most important numbers for poker part of the challenge.
36000 games or 4000 games per month average
3 tabling in the beginning (April) and during the challenge increasing the tables to whatever feels comfortable to keep high cEV and win rate
120 hours per month set aside for grinding in the beginning or 4 hours per day on average but with multi tabling increased I will go down with grinding and dedicate time to other areas of life
Using PT4 instead of HM2 and using my 2 favorite HUDs that I used for SNGs in the past
Reviewing and studying with elpsycho 15 hours per month on average
Playing 7$ limit and aiming for 60 cEV per game or 4.1% pre RB ROI

FAQ for the challenge
How long will it last?
Challenge stops from the moment I manage to save 12k$! It means that I can bink some spin and end it, save using both teaching and poker - whichever way I save 12k it is considered completed.
How will savings be tracked?
I have already set systems that focus on money that I earn as well as spend and there are systems set for savings as well. They consist of me entering whenever I get or spend money how much went where. From these systems I get precise amount how much money is left and based on it I will put the numbers together and share them here once a month. For poker I will use Stars coins each month to cash them + use PT4 each month to show profit pre RB and then list that number for total money saved. Remember, I already pay my bills with teaching, poker profit will go directly to savings!
Why set 36k games for spins?
Several reasons. 1) With such volume I will be able to reach SN which means from next year better RB if I decide to continue grinding this or any other format of poker. 2) With such volume I have better chance of running closer to my expectations but also getting the chance to play and win those higher multipliers. 3) With such volume and expected win rate that I have set, I will be able to save 12k entirely from poker, without relying to save any money from teaching. In a way, I have set higher goal then needed for poker to motivate me to work on my game during the challenge and to possibly by the end of the year thanks to it and teaching save over 12k!
Why not play some other format like turbo SNGs?
This is definitely valid question but I decided to make things more difficult and prove to myself despite things being hard in poker economy and world that I can be profitable player on a very variance heavy format such as Spins. Also, turbo SNGs barely exist for volume + table selecting for them is not as possible as before and that kills hourly in more ways then one. Also, I like to always push and challenge myself and Spins are definitely right direction for me!
How often will updates happen and what will they consist?
I will do daily updates with graph from PT4 that shows number of games with cEV, ITM and ROI as the most important things for time being. I will also share another screen shot that shows number of hours grinded also from PT4. At the end of month I will post a monthly graph with this info + actual profit/savings accomplished. For teaching I will at the very end of the month add how much money I managed to save!
What about other life things, will they be included in updates?
As usual, I mention my life things in updates so you will be updated on how my mourning routine developes, on eating healthy and hiring cook and cleaning lady all the way to spending time with my family and friends on weekly basis.
Will there be some other things counted towards challenge?
Absolutely! If I decide to perform, do webinars, accept poker students and such, as well as start investing, all the money from such things will go towards challenge as well.
What will you do once you save 12k?
I will go to the bank with my dad with huge smile on my face and pay that mortgage in full. After that I will go to the apartment and just look at it and enjoy the fact that it is finally owned by my dad now and that he is debt free! I will then start saving for some other things that I consider important in my life but I will talk about that challenge when time comes for it! I will also consider taking a vacation and treating myself well for a month.
What happens if you don't save 12k by the end of the year?
I will feel sad for 5 minutes that I didn't manage to do it but right after that keep my head high and keep pushing however long it takes to save 12k$ which with current systems set in place, work habit and persistence should not take very long!

Final notes on challenge
I think the challenge is very realistic and knowing myself and how capable I am to work hard and push the envelope of pain I am 100% positive that I will complete it in 2016. It doesn't hurt to say but thanks to teaching I will decrease my variance for it. Also by decreasing tables from 6 to 3 now, changing from HM2 to PT4 and using my favorite HUD's I will definitely increase my expected win rate. Finally, I am not going to let challenge affect my regular life. I will still see my family and friends, watch Netflix as I grind, go out to treat myself, study and provide maximum value for my students and keep improving my knowledge and service to the people that I serve.

Challenge officially starts tomorrow so good luck me I guess and see you at the tables! :)

2016 Challenge - Saving 12k$
April
Day 1
125/4000 games
6 hours grind based on PT4 which might track it wrong

Graph for today:

No it is not April fools joke, I really did loose 29 buy ins pre rb today! :)
Was 3 tabling using my favorite HUDs and at some point was probably up 7+ buy ins after 1st and 2nd session. Then in the middle of 3rd session I was playing and my internet went out - I lost 3 buy ins and my cEV immediately dropped from that (you can see the cEV going up and when it starts to really go down that's due to internet disconnection). I then spent about 1 hour finding additional internet options and considering if I should continue to grind or not. Called internet company, asked for Fiber internet but I need to get permission from guy who runs the building that I live in. So, I called my landlord and arranged with him to meet up with the main guy on Monday and see if I get approval to let internet people do some cables in the building for my stable connection. If that doesn't work out, I have option to get another wireless internet or get internet on those USB sticks or use my cell phone internet. Cell phone internet was the best out of all 3 options. USB stick internet sucks and takes forever to connect. With other wireless connection there is no guarantee that at exact moment one internet brakes that the other one will work. So I am stuck with the solutions when it comes to internet and I hate accepting this as reality and the fact that I can't change anything about it. The other day I lost 6 buy ins, today I lost 3!!! That is 63$ lost due to internet company. In normal country I could sue their ass hold them responsible and take their money but in Serbia things never work out that way.
Anyways, too much drama for the 1st day, I will mention poker things about today:
- Made some bad plays both pre and post flop
Not 100% down with tendencies of field and this is driving me crazy a bit - I want to know it all and I want to know it today! I need to be more patient and over time things will be set until then struggle and swings!
- Variance was happening
People shopped over and over and at times I felt like when will this stop. I had on 3 tables 6x games and I lost all of them in HU. When my internet got disconnected I had 6x 4x and 2x and was CL in all of them, by the time internet returned I got to HU in 2 of them and lost in both as SS of course due to internet problem.
- Worked on my game
Went through filters in PT4, checked hands, marked and took mental notes of those spots. Also worked on the game with elpsycho close to 1 hour.

Non poker related things
My mourning routine is really developing nicely. It's been two days since I increased the push ups and I plan to keep it for 5 more days at this number and to add 5 more in that 1 set. Over time this will lead to some amazing results I just need to keep at it! Went for coffee with two friends. That lasted about 3 hours total and as weather was nice I really enjoyed it outside. Look forward to more activities like that in future.
There was no teaching scheduled today but tomorrow I am teaching 4 hours which is why I will play now my 1st session of the new day.

Finally, my current BR is 99 buy ins for 7$ limit which is super low for this format. I will however reload another 100 buy ins in next day or two to keep it going. If necessary I will even drop to 2 tables from 3 although I really felt strong about 3 tabling today with note taking and exploiting every leak that I think I noticed.

Tomorrow is a new day and I will do my best to put 125 more games besides all the other life activities with maximum focus and solid game plan!

2016 Challenge - Saving 12k$
April
Day 2
225/4000 games
10.55 hours grind based on PT4 which might track it wrong

Graph for today + 3 games after midnight for tomorrow.

Another loosing day at Spins. This time, I felt I had way more control over my game, focus and game plan. 3 tabling will definitely be very +EV play over next several thousand games I am sure about it. HU is bringing me some doubts so my study time will be dedicated to that area purely in future. Today spent 1 hour studying with elpsycho and grinded about 5 hours today. I will most likely not make 4k volume this month since I want to keep quality of play 3 tabling, taking notes and focusing to exploit each leak of the opponent. 100 games per day seems more realistic and even with such volume I need to grind between 4-5 hours which is not what I initially planed (4 hours average was plan). I will make up those 1000 games from April in some future month when I start 4 or more tabling with very strong focus in all phases + note taking and color coding appropriately.
Teaching instead of 4 hours there was 1 hour which didn't work out at all. This time it wasn't my internet but my students and it was very frustrating. I will provide him free lesson even though it is neither mine nor his fault but rather schools internet that was for some reason super slow and laggy today.
Finished grinding earlier today as I am working on changing my sleeping pattern going to bed before 2am, waking up by 9-9:30am and finishing up more things during the day. Tomorrow I have family matters + 2 lessons to teach and will go for 100 games minimum 3 tabling.

Finally, BR is currently around 90 buy ins which is not enough for Spins of course. I decided to stay on 7$ limit no matter what happens. I don't plan to move to 3$ limit and I also believe that my skill is good to beat this limit with very positive ROI just need to surpass the variance. Worse case scenario, I can bust those 600$ and regroup myself for following month. The good news is that if everything works out this month from teaching, I will save about 1k$ from teaching alone! So I can then reinvest my own money into BR instead of going for a loan of any sort.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 3
336/4000 games
15.55 hours grind

Graph for today excluding couple of games included in last night's update:

The best day for Spins so far!
Woke up earlier then usual as I went to bed earlier last night as well. Spent about 3 hours with family and then got back home. 1st thing I did was work on my game and seek to improve it. Used warm up routine in the 1st session around 1 hour and then started to grind. Used timer for my sessions and I played very close to my A game through out the whole day today within 5 hours grinding. I am very happy how it all went. Mental game very strong, taking notes 200 mph on 3 tables and exploit each leak. First two sessions I was probably 20 buy ins up or something and that was running bellow EV. 3rd session was with setups both pre and post flop. Bluffs that didn't work, one major miss click and tons of setups in HU. Remaining sessions very strong and ended the day with 10 buy ins profit. Felt that I could have won way more buy ins today but I won't complain, if I win every day 10 buy ins in a month that is 300 buy ins hehe ;)
Finally, cEV for the day was brutal as I expected it honestly to be around 100 but it was even more cEV 156.
Very much look forward to following days of grinding with such focus, note taking, warm up routine, continuing to study with elpsycho and to listen to some guitar relaxing music in the background!

Teaching was supposed to happen today, 2 lessons but both got moved by students. One was traveling outside of Boston, the other student had internet problem at his place and moved it for tomorrow. This week I was teaching less hours compared to previous 2 weeks (3 weeks since I arrived from Boston) but next week things are picking up and I expect minimum 8 hours of teaching. Tomorrow I have 12-2 and 2:30-3:30pm teaching. After that I plan to work on my game and put 4 or 5 one hour sessions with brakes, warm up routine and studying happening.

Other life things - In the new week I plan to get another back up internet, meet up with couple of more friends and most likely go to see a movie with one cool chick :) Besides it all I will continue with my morning routine and increase it in 4 days from now + consider expenses of hiring maid and a cook in the near future. Financially I am not in the best shape right now but I am positive by the end of this month I will be up by at least 500$ more saved if not a whole thousand which will allow me to invest additional 50-100$ per month hiring a maid and a cook to run my body smoothly with healthy meals.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables and see you next week!

April
Day 4
381/4000 games
17.47 hours grind

Here is the graph for today including games after midnight now:

Not much to update about poker wise!
Played super low volume because I spent about 4-5 hours outside of the home. Was teaching 3 hours which was awesome, then went for coffee and favorite restaurant with my best friend. Good home fairly late, played 1.22 hours sessions while elpsycho was sweating. Won 10x in that session but besides that tons of setups pre and post flop and I shopped apparently well. Some 6x games lost in coin flips and then there were some where I lost 88 vs A2o and such. Got some dinner and went to grind again but I stopped after 30-40 minutes. Simply no energy left to play today despite variance and everything I just don't feel 100% in the game and I am also very tired so best thing is to go to bed and play 4-5 hours tomorrow to reach those 120 hours by the end of the month.
By the way, found another source of income which is related to investing but I need minimum 2k to do it so plan is within next 3 months to put that money aside and start earning money with such investment as well. When it comes to income, it won't be huge on monthly basis but I believe by the end of the year I can easily get 1.2k$ from 3rd source of income which is 10% of the target for saving!

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

P.S. 4 days and 17.47 hours of grind, a bit ahead of my 4 hours per day grinding pace!

Day 5
481/4000 games
21.87 hours grind

Here is the graph for today including the games after midnight:

Running good!
Morning routine went great followed by coffee and 2 tabling with best friend. Got home and grinded some more then was teaching 1.5 hour and then grinded some more to hit 100 games for the day. Won some 10x today which is always good as it gives me boost that I can actually reach the ROI and cEV I am aiming for (60 cEV for the whole challenge).
Did not work on the game with elpsycho but he was rather watching me play for a bit over 1 hour. Instead I studied in coffee place with my best friend using HRC for some super standard spots.

Tomorrow teaching 7-8pm 10:20-11pm and before that want to put minimum 100 games for the day and complete morning routine + continue with studying and improving the game.

Always nice to put couple of days with good results. I am sure there will be days with negative variance and brutal swings but with current BR it is always good to run decent at this point.
cEV for such a small sample in April is 55. EVROI at 3.22% running at -1.87% and ITM at 36.8%. Not bad but I know I can do way better and as challenge moves on I will increase my cEV to 70 and over very likely. For now key is to get 1k+ from poker including RB to keep pushing the envelope and complete the challenge even before January.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

man you are sick with volume.

So i tried to apply for SmartSpin and after I played 500 games they made me an offer and I told them that i have to think a few days if I want to accept it and after 2 days they told me is no more available because the sample is not big enough.anyway i wouldn't have accepted it because today i had an appointment with a tax consultant and it doesn't worth playing with a deal.

I really want to start playing spins and improving but I don't want to do it alone.if you are looking for someone with whom you want to study or exchange ideas I am up to.I am telling you because i see and saw how dedicated to a goal you are and how you build habits and not base your goal achievements only on motivation.i believe that working together will bring both of us advantages.let me know.

You got it man! I am currently working on the game with elpsycho. He is busy in the morning times with actual job that he has so we can study together in those times. We can create a skype chat group and discuss strategy there as well as go through whole game plan (create tables for all the phases and talk about adjusting those).

It is hard to motivate yourself especially when you feel like you are alone on the path to success. I am sure those Smart Spins guys are great and they offer great support and knowledge but you would be giving up a huge % of your winnings. That is the way it works with coaching and staking deals. I was part of them and to go through that ever again it has to be super +EV deal long term for me to consider it. Example, those guys getting you to 60-100$ hourly within 12 months time. Everything bellow that is just not worth it in my opinion right now. Also living in regular world or 1st world countries you realize that people joining these deals are mostly from countries with bad economy or with unregulated poker markets and tax systems. Once that gets sorted out there(everywhere really) will be huge drop of candidates in those coaching and staking programs.
Having said all of that, I still think there is huge value studying from better players and having support and accountability. However, you can do all this on your own or for free, finding people that are working towards same or similar goals to yours - like me and elpsycho. I don't mind you joining us and working with us. We are not monster players for Spins. There is a lot of work ahead of us but we both look forward to solving all the unresolved areas in our game. If you feel the same way, you are more then welcome to join us.
I have you on Skype, will talk to you later today (going to get some food and ice cream now hehe).
By the way, my volume right now sucks. I had a brutal day yesterday where my mental game crashed and it was caused by variance, loosing 25x vs mega giga fish with AK vs ATo and then people who call 3 barrels with 3rd or 4th pair. I forgot for a moment how those things in Spins can be very fast tilting points for me causing me to make rushed decisions and be overly aggressive. So decided yesterday to stop grinding, finish with teaching, get great rest and restart today again.
Spins can be and are way harder then SNGs but they are still very beatable and even higher ROI is achievable in them vs regular SNG format due to massive ratio of recreational players in comparison to regs. I strongly believe that 3 to 4 tabling 7$ limit you can reach hourly like 12-15 tabling 15$ - 30$ 6 max Turbos which is anywhere between 20-25$ per hour. People have done it and are doing it, really don't see why we shouldn't be able to do the same or even more. My goal however for 36k games is to have cEV 60 and to run with expected ROI for such. It is possible to have way greater cEV then that on 7$ (like 50% better or even more) but I created my goals and challenges based on my needs to save money this year so everything is going towards that major goal. Next year who knows, I might continue to play the format, move limits, increase hourly, make 3-4-5k+ per month. I will think about it once I complete current challenge, for now I just know there is a lot of hours left for both grinding and especially studying with focus on very important life things like enough sleep, eating right, exercising, time with family and friends, time for myself and of course doing what I love (teaching music and helping others).

Let's get to work man today and possibly find someone who is going through Smart Spins now (like Rufus) or went through it to give us some pointers (hidden things that no one talks in depth overall) and directions from their program :)

2016 Challenge - Saving 12k$
April
Days 6&7
655/4000 games
28.63 hours grind

Here is the graph for today including the games after midnight:

Not very good two days for poker!
I wrote earlier today about some tilt triggers in Spins that happened yesterday. That caused me to play way more aggressive and simply loose more at the tables. Loosing 25x vs giga whale really blows but I have to get used to those type of things. I realize multipliers up to 10x are most important for ROI so that helps me a lot to feel good about such looses. Today I was taking it easy half of the day then studying HU and hitting some grinding. It wasn't any different compared to yesterday in fact at one point for those 2 days I was down 30 buy ins. I paused, regrouped and decided to add 4th table and using color coding system to automate my decisions and game plan. What that did was produce way less bad calls on river and less aggression overall from me (red line dropping) but in return all in EV going up (much better adjustment in HU now in comparison to 2 weeks ago or so which feels awesome!) and blue line going up.

From tomorrow I will continue to 4 table and work on my game with such tables. Tonight I was taking quick notes and making sure to player profile as best as I can while I do 4 tabling. It will take a week probably to get used to it to maximize edges in areas I am skipping now. Overall I think even with current game plan 4 tabling that I will have a very good win rate. Just as an example, 4 tabling tonight brought me cEV of 140 in 49 games in 1.73 hours winning 11 buy ins.

Fun fact for today: I played with my long time reg nemesis on 15$-30$ 6 max Turbos but this time on 7$ Spins - Elio Oneiro! At first I couldn't believe it but then it made sense - everyone went away from 6 max SNGs to some other format. We played 3 games today, one I lost in HU to him (was ahead I believe and he shopped?), in another one he did something super aggro and got rewarded and I can't recall how I busted in 3rd game vs him. Overall fun time, feels good to see familiar faces at the tables.

Teaching was great both today and yesterday. This month is going well, according to my expectations I should be able to save minimum 500$ which is great news. 9 months like that and its 4.5k saved. I was also thinking today about adjusting some things in time management, whether or not to step up and find 3 more students and I will do it. Having 50 instead of 40 hours of teaching per month can really make a huge difference especially when it comes to expectations from making money from spins. So 3 potential students will increase hourly, decrease variance and increase amount of more steady stream of income and savings.

For 1st week of challenge here are some things to mention:
- 606 games with cEV 42, EVROI 0.72% running at -6.27% or -266$ (38 buy ins loss)
- Was 3 tabling for most of the time, started 4 tabling for tonight
- Studying was great on the days that happened but definitely not steady enough. Something that I am changing!
- Poor mental game happened 2 days ago - something that was expected as I didn't play poker for year or more!
- Adjusted my HU game for overall field which will result in higher cEV and ROI in future

I am not surprised with running bellow EV, I am happy that I am just 40+ buy ins bellow EV in regards to format such as Spins. Also I believe cEV which is used to determine true ROI is OK but not key thing that should be considered especially on such small sample of games. Typical example of cEV dropping and me playing my best is having sessions when I ran into top of the range with strong hands. This happened to me not once but most likely 3 or 4 sessions in this week. That really decreases cEV. I think I had only 1 major upswing day there where I had over 150 cEV. The other one was tonight while I was 4 tabling apparently after midnight which will be included in calculation for next weeks update. Overall I think it is way more important to focus on things that I can have huge affect on like learning and improving daily, grinding steady, using warm up routine and having a very solid mental game for Spins. Everything else will follow sooner or later!
Next week focus will be on warm up routine happening before 1st session, studying and finishing everything for "basic" game plan, grinding 4 tables steady and keeping 4 hours per day average!
It would help if results follow since right now I have close to 100 buy ins for 7s and in reality swings can be even more brutal then what I already experienced. 30-40 buy ins per 100 games are super standard here! So with that in mind, having a very positive week would allow me to keep pushing the envelope with number of tables and volume in the near future to reach true ROI sooner!

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 8
752/4000 games
31.92 hours grind

Here is the graph for today including the games after midnight:

Lots of activities today!
Morning routine completed yet again and very soon increasing it. After it went for coffee and beer after it with 2 of my friends. Spent close to 4 hours hanging out with them and talking. Got back home, ate lunch and then talked to my very good friend for 2.5 hours. After it all I went for dinner after which I started to grind.
Grinding itself was 3 sessions using timer and it was all 4 tabling. One of the sessions was with elpsycho sweating and we both witnessed constant shopping and joked how EV is going up :) Final session of the day just finished and that one was full of setups like in HU getting it in with A9 on 975 running into 97 and nut flush vs FH with 85 , things like that.
Overall I am very happy with note taking and player labeling as well as level of my play while 4 tabling. There is definitely space to improve red line and with it I am sure I would have even higher cEV. I am however not worried about it but rather focused on right plays during HU as much as possible as that area itself brings most ITM and direct money. Unfortunately today was yet another day where I was running bellow EV but got 8.22% ROI instead of 10.05%! It was all thanks to finally winning 4x in last 2 games of the session and earlier on getting one 6x. Had a lot of 6x and 4x and definitely feel that I am nowhere near enough winning those. I am hoping to overcome those losses on a very large sample or simply bink something brutal instead - both is fine

Tomorrow 1 lesson scheduled, waiting to get confirmation from student for 2 more hours to make it total of 3 hours. Besides grinding 4 sessions, I will complete morning routine and continue studying HU. I have a very specific filter that I will use for review when it comes to HU that will uncover leak that I can definitely improve.

Overall I am very happy with how I played today and look forward to continuing to grind and results will follow.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

IvicaIliev77 is back!
Brutal ownage today. Won 10x 3 times today from which only one HU gave me a challenge, the rest of them were easy game. In that one HU I lost vs 3 outer all in and still managed as short stack to come back and win it. Today gave me great boost that I can indeed win higher multipliers. The way I was running in them so far was really getting sick to the point that I was joking with elpsycho day in and out how I have to win all of 2x multipliers to make actual money in this format. Turns out that things are turning in my favor and yet on such a small sample - on larger sample I expect things to work even more in my favor (higher ROI).
Two more things to mention. 1) cEV is great along with red line. Playing with very strong focus, note taking, color coding while 4 tabling is really working out for me. I think long term I can definitely have over 60 cEV on this limit but for challenge I set that up as a goal and I will treat it as such. 2) cEV for challenge so far is 60 or evROI of 4.11% , running currently at 1.22% with 37.44% ITM
Today I played 1 session in a coffee place grinding via my cell phone's internet and 2 sessions home (1x 1 hour and 1 shorter session - stopped when my friend invited me for drinks).
Since I won big today 294$ or 42 buy ins in 92 games, I decided to go and meet my good friend for drinks. Spent 6.5 hours together, had 4 beers, ate food and had awesome time with my friend! Spent 12$ for all that including 2 cab rides! Gotta love Serbia for cost of living alone :)

Currently I am behind the pace with both hours and games for the month. I am absolutely OK with that since now I am 4 tabling and by the end of the month I will have 120 hours in grinding and I will have above 3k games but less then 4k which is awesome for 1st month of the challenge.

I look forward to more days like today in Spins. This is the upside of this format and today despite winning big I am most happy that I kept my calm and cool, didn't change my game and my confidence was there that I can win those despite running terrible in them in the past.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 10
1000/4000 games
39.87 hours grind

Here is the graph for today including the games after midnight:

Another great day at the tables!
Morning routine completed as usual and went for coffee + grinded 1st session of the day. Lost 1st out of 2 10xs for today both times ahead.
Focus was good, adjusting and readjusting with note taking and color coding was going well.
For the whole day managed to put 5.68 hours of grinding for 180 games which includes games from midnight last night. I decided to do this today since I didn't teach any lesson and I wanted to catch up with my monthly volume (100 games per day for April) with 4 hours per day average grind. Now I have 39.87 hours for 10 days of grinding which is right where I want it to be. Considering that since challenge started I was teaching 10 hours per week on average and meeting with friends on daily basis, I am very happy with how everything is going. I still have work to do to minimize variance and increase cEV and ROI long term but I am very pleased with how quick I adjusted to new format. Results are slowly starting to kick in. For the challenge so far cEV is 58 with evROI 3.73, running at 2.4% ROI with 37.4% ITM! Definitely feel I can have 38% ITM long term as well as more 1st vs 2nd places on this limit.
Overall things are looking good and I prepared 2 more options which I plan to activate once I get more money to decrease variance from Spins and have multiple streams of income to reach 12k$ with less stress and wait time.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

Day 11
1074/4000 games
42.43 hours grind

Here is the graph for today including the games after midnight:

Another excellent day at Spins!
Whole day was a bit chill and relaxed. Woke up, completed morning routine and increased from today push ups by 5 more, very happy how that is going! After that went for breakfast and spent around 2 hours with my dad hanging out and talking, great times. After that got back home and lied down on the couch with tv show in the background and feel asleep for 3 hours! I guess from last night and previous days I had accumulated some fatigue so this 3 hour nap was perfect. Did some talking over Skype and then went for dinner. After dinner studied with elpsycho about 1 hour game plan and hit the tables. Elpsycho was sweating and crushing happened. I then played another 1 hour session (total a bit over 2.5 hours today) and that one ended very well also.
So today poker wise studying and 2.5 hours grinding. I am 1.5 hours behind my pace now and a bit late with volume as well. Not worried, I listened to my body today and it needed rest so I gave it just that!
Poker wise, things are really clicking for me in new format. This month when I look at difference between 1st and 2nd places it is only 1 game in favor of 2nd place and that is with running below EV for the month so far. I am definitely positive that I can long term have more 1st then 2nd places in this format which in return brings much higher ROI. The way things are going with 4 tabling are perfect for me now. Playing with focus, note taking, color coding, adjusting and readjusting, not feeling any fear when I play just following my thinking process, going through ranges and lines, always trying to make the best decision. I am very happy that I did 2 tabling followed by 6 , 3 and now 4 tables. 4 tabling feels like a solid challenge because it makes me push myself enough so that my mind is in the zone. With 3 tables I would be bored, with 6 I would go to auto pilot and skip a lot of spots most likely which is not good in this format. In future I may add 5th table but there is really no need for it in my opinion.Next month I will go for 4k games and that will take 125 hours to reach it with 4 tabling. Sounds very good especially if I can keep cEV 60 and over which honestly with adjustments applied to my game plan I am positive I can have 70 or more cEV long term but 60 is the goal for whole challenge and I am not going to change that!

Some other things that happened today... People from internet company called and finally in my new building they will put in Fiber internet! Finally I will have internet that will not cut or go out, finally no more lost buy ins due to disconnections! There was this girl taking care of signatures in my new building and she sent me SMS message today about it. I told her that I will take her for drinks if she manages to sort that out and I plan to keep my word always - guess we are going for drinks soon. I scheduled 3 lessons for Wednesday which is very cool because I already know that on that day I won't go for 4 hours grind but rather for 2 sessions or so. I talked to my guitar student today and on Wednesday I will take additional software for music to make my process of creating notes and assignments even more efficient! Very much look forward to that. Today I also found online streaming of my favorite show Two and a half man and I plan to re-watch it all while grinding (did this in my 2nd session today) - really funny stuff!

Overall this month is looking now very solid despite downswing in the 1st week of it or so. Bankroll is now getting closer to 200 buy ins which makes me happy and more secured for constant grinding. Also teaching has been going very well and the way things look I will manage to save very solid amount this month from it!
If poker results follow my my expectations with EV and teaching goes as planned, I should be able to save anywhere from 1.5k to 2k this month which would be phenomenal start for the challenge!

Tomorrow I will go for drinks with at least one friend most likely two and aim to grind 100+ games while of course completing morning routine and getting enough rest in between sessions.

Enjoy your day on and off the tables!

P.S. Challenge result so far: 1074 games, cEV 62, evROI 4.48% running at 3.91% with 37.99% ITM.
