Villain 90/20/4.2/26/13

No other info

firstly I should have raised more preflop

on the flop I played c/c here as I want to give him a chance to hang himself, although I could raise here for value. The turn brings a few draws so I opted to charge him to play, c/c here on the turn is also a viable option

on the river do you think a small value bet is appropriate? 1/3 or 1/2 psb

I often would raise flop w/o a hand and win the pot on the flop or on the turn (he will check/fold very often). But since we don't have to balance against retard, call flop/call turn/bet river line would provide higher ev against his range.

as played: i think he is betting most of the hands that beat you on the river0 so i would sign for a gay valuebet 1/4-1/5) unless it triggers him to do something crazy)

raise flop to stack him if he has a K. also, he oftentimes wont believe u anyway on the flop and may try to make something really cool (4.2 af on his vpip/pfr is huge)

if he doesnt have a K, he wont spastically bet turn huge and try to hang himself after he bets flop that small. u just lose too much value imo. also i raise the turn bigger.

river i vbet/fold most of the time, depending on his general river play.

the problem is the ratio between the times he has a K and times he doesn't. its huge) you are just 2345 miles ahead of his small donking range (unless u have different notes)

i mean, he is calling preflop with any 2 suited cards and most of the offsuit 1 and 2 gapers. given his aggression, he should bet around half of his range) only suited hands account for 800+ combinations) overall, his betting range might reach at least 400 combinations :) thats where you miss value by raising.

i disagree ;)

if he has complete air, he wont bet 2$ here. he has a little bit most of the time imo. most of the time a pocket or an 8, sometimes a K. and since he isnt able to lead 2bb to induce a raise for value most of the time with 22 or 88 we have to raise here for value. if he has 99 in thi spot, he will always call because he doesnt believe us (thats why we shouldnt bluff fish too much, they want to see your hand at sd and they dont believe u).
sure, if he has 54s here, u lose some bbs that he would bluff on the turn. but always when he has any K or any pocket or an 8 you lose so much more value by not raising. and if another overcard to his pocket hits on the turn he might find a reason to even fold.

well) with your estimated range, raising is obvious)
Ok, because of his bet size I agree. even though I still think his range will be like 3x wider then what you've proposed, it won't be enough to cover for Kx hands.

However, if his donk size goes up to 5$, calling is 100% better) I will never believe im wrong here) but you can try)

btw,

if he has complete air, he wont bet 2$ here.

you can never be sure when dealing with such poker experts) some people are unable to grasp even obvious things, such as correlation between bet size and FE)

this

mainly because he is donk is too small to create a big pot. If he donks big, I just call. This bet is a bet I raise.
