If you call this, you have to be right less than 25% of the time. I think he will have some missed draws quite often that he stabs turn and river with. With a strong holding like AQ he would have 3bet pre flop, sets and 2 pair he would have raised OTF and I doubt he is turning his weak Jx or Qx into a bluff. So I see mostly missed draws and 7x in his range. I would call.

His bets are inviting and small. I do not like calling. 7x, Qx are possible.

I doubt that villain bets river with weak Qx. AQ he should 3bet pre. We cbet flop and x/c turn so if I was villain holding weak Q I would just check behind OTR. But of course Qx is still possible. But we don't have to be right very often to call this profitably.

KQ, QJ, QTs, even Q9s ...

Villain played it like he is affraid his 2p with Qx may lose to AA,KK that made 2pair with 77 on board.

call or not on river is a bit "meh whatever" imo ... Me personally dont like the flopbet. But i play alot of check/call and check/raise ranges instead. i guess you dont.
I would always c/call flop instead.

Check calling this flop is a decent option.

That I don't like so much. Aren't we missing value quite often if we just check here?

This is a bit extreme. Bet some Qx and x some....

Well, in some spots i dont have a cbet range OOP. always check call or check raise.. this is one board i would check all of my range. but only OOP.

People have a hard time adjusting to check/raises i feel. So there is alot of profitable check/raise bluffs

Not having a cbetting range OOP is a bit too much for me. AQs/QJ are a cbet here.

I feel you. I just see more value in other lines :) And just going bet/bet/??? with TPTK OOP is just .. asking for nasty spots on rivers imo. :f_ugly:

You have to remember that we are the pre-flop aggressor and our range is stronger than villains. Cbetting is usually profitable since ppl tend to fold too much to cbets at the micros. Or at least I have that kind of read.

Well, we can always go to bet/check/bet.

Well then you should try to check your own opening range in CO vs your own calling range on BU. and look at equitys on different board textures :)

"ppl tend to fold too much to cbets at the micros"
So why are you so happy to cbet with alot of good/semi-good hands? why not check and hope they take a stab with bad hands, or maybe catch up with a worse pair and call off 2 streets.. And if they have a good hand or a strong draw, they will most likely bet the flop, and then you can chose whatever strong range u still have in your check range to raise with, and they will probably not fold to it.

In my expierience people stab to much with complete trash hands. and they dont play good vs check raises.

QJ7 is not a dry board and we can extract value from draws and weaker hands.

Those guys who fold too much to cbets will fold OTT too. By not cbetting we just let them improve for free. Those guys who call too much will call with weaker holdings and that is good too. Then there are those guys who stab us when we check but then we have no idea if he has Qx or air so that is why I like cbetting here. Then we can check/decide OTT.

Yes there is some draws, but its not a specially wet board.. But sure.

Still, if you have like a gutshot or lets say OESD in this spot on the BU, and the CO check to you. Do you not bet(stab) your draws, and alot of other hands such as bdfd+bdsd ?

So if you imagine villains bets theese hands, is this not value for you? in my eyes it is the same as you c-betting and him calling your cbet. BUT he will also stab with a wider range. And you will not face a raise from whatever hands he would raise OTF.
