Was 4 games played during the night,

Washington won again against Philadelphia this time 4-1 Swedes Niclas Bäckström had 1 goal and 2 assists, Marcus johansson 2 assists, Washington now lead series 2-0

Dallas also leads 2-0 after winning 2-1 this time against Minnesota

New York Rangers tied the series with Pittsburgh after winning 4-2, Henrik Lundquist was back in goal after his eye injure in last game

San Jose heading back to home ice with a 2-0 lead in the series after winning 2-1 against Los Angeles ( suprice to me) but dont count out LA yet.

4 games during the night again,

St Louis won away against Chicago 3-2 after 2 goals in 3rd period ( Patrik Berglund scored the 2-2 game tier) and now leading series 2-1, maybe we will see a suprise in this series?

Detroit got their first win in this series after a 2-0 win ( Henrik Zetterberg scored to 2-0) still Tampa leads 2-1 in series wouldnt be suprised to see this series go to 7 games

New York Islanders won in overtime 4-3 against Florida and got now a 2-1 lead in series, this serie looks wideopen with Islanders as small favorite at the moment.

Biggest suprise to me is Nashville, they won again at away ice against Anaheim 3-2 today ( Swedes Filip Forsberg had 2 assists and Mattias Ekholm 1 goal) Will Anaheim turn this around? :f_rolleyes:

3 games played during the night,

Washington scored 5 powerplay goals and won 6-1 this time against Philadelphia and now just need 1 more win to advance.

Minnesota looked like they would lose again after being down 0-2 early on in the game against Dallas but came back and won 5-3, Dallas still leads series 2-1

Los Angeles got a big overtime win 2-1 against San Jose, still behind in series 1-2

Anaheim in real trouble, losing two games (rather surprisingly) with 3-2. I knew this series was going to be tight but that Anaheim would lose the first two games at home is a big surprise. Now they have to do what the Kings did against the Sharks and win the away game in Nashville (tonight?), I think they will have a goalie change as Rinne (goalie Nashville) was outplaying Gibson (goalie Anaheim). Anaheim has a great second goalie in Andersen who will surely get a chance. I still feel Anaheim has a chance here as Rinne had a rough inconsistent season so they should just keep firing pucks and get traffic in front.

Minnesota won 1 game from Dallas who were lazy after an easy 2-0 lead in the game but I still think Dallas will win this series fairly easy.

I feel sorry for Philadelphia after such a strong push at the end of the season but Washington is just too good at the moment. I really hope the Penguins make it to the second round so we get a Crosby, Ovechkin, Malkin, Backstrom and Kuznetsov show. Pittsburgh will have some trouble with the Rangers though as they have been getting outplayed 5 on 5 in the first two games (series tied 1-1).

Rompas what do you think about Forsberg btw? Like, what is his ceiling? During the regular season I found him stretches of games a bit 'soft' but so far he has done very well in his two play off appearances.

i would say one of the biggest Swedish talents we seen in the last years, remember hes still only 21 years old and during his time in the league he have been productive regularly , he had a slow start this season i think but second half of the season really good.

Could be a top 10 star in the league within a few years i think

yeah, the fact that he already had two 60 points + (and 25 goals +) seasons at age 21 is really, really impressive. Could go down as the worst trade ever in Washington history, definitely the best player from the 2012 draft class so far (together with Lindholm)

4 games again during night, :f_cool:

Detroit lost after a late powerplay goal by Tampa and now trails series 1-3, i dont see how they could turn this around

Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead in series after winning 3-1, Pittsburgh got first team in NHL history to have multiple goaltenders win their playoffdebuts :f_cool:

St Louis suprices again at away ice won 4-3 and can next game clinch a place in next round, i dont think Chicago can win 3 games in row ...

Anaheim changed Goalie to this game, Andersen came in and Anaheim won 3-0, he could be the one that turn this series around for Anaheim.

It sounds like Tampa Bay will it least reach the last 8, but first see if they win the next match.

Anaheim dominated play against Nashville but got out shot because of the many penalties they took. If Anaheim are able to take less penalties I think they will win the series.

St. Louis stole the win in Chicago, the game winning goal was a huge mistake by rookie defenseman Van Riemsdyk. Chicago really misses another veteran in their own end. Tarasenko (forward St. Louis was great again). You don't see goalies often in a fight but Crawford (Chicago) took it upon himself to show St. Louis' Fabbri who is boss :f_biggrin: This game was fun btw, I would recommend anyone to watch the highlights on the NHL site.

Tampa will win the series easily, Detroit stumbled into the play offs by the good grace of Boston but aren't a really good team this year. Kucherov is the big man again (like last years play offs) with already 5 goals in 4 games.

Late update from last 4 games played in night

Philadelphia stayed alive after 2-1 win against Washington , still down 1-3 in series and most likely Washington in next game at home ice will clinch a spot in next round.

Florida tied the series 2--2 with New York Islanders after a 2-1 win at away ice.

Dallas won 3-2 and lead now 3-1 in series and could clinch a spot in next game at home ice

San Jose scored 3 powerplay goals in their 3-2 win against Los Angeles and lead 3-1

Tampa Bay is first team to advance to 2 round after a late 3rd period goal in their 1-0 against Detroit

Chicago avoid elimination after a 4-3 win in 2nd overtime period, St Louis still lead 3-2 in games

Pittsburgh Smashed New York Rangers 5-0 and now lead 3-1 in series , can New York turn this around?

Anaheim won 4-1 and tied series 2-2 , once again Andersen in goal was amazing

WOW what a hockey night it was, great games and some suprices :f_thumbsup:

San Jose is thru to next round after after a great game where they had lead 3-0 and dropped it to 3-3 after 2nd period, and came out in 3rd and scored 3 goals to win 6-3.

Michal Neuwirth beat Washington, (oh Sorry Philadelphia beat Washington) Neuwirth playing the last 2 games and been amazing with just one goal allowed and saved 75/76 shots Will Washington Once again fail in playoff?

Dallas had the chance at home ice to close the series with Minnesota but failed after a overtime goal by Finlands Mikku Koivu, who also scored the game tier late in 3rd period, Dallas still leads 3-2

New York islanders and Florida, what a battle it was , Islanders took the lead in series 3-2 when they scored late in 2nd overtime period and won 2-1 , hard one for Florida but i hope they can bounce back and win next game :f_drink:

It’s nice that all matches are so exciting. Too bad all matches are after midnight for me.
Otherwise I would consider watching it.

Even more so considering the Islanders equalised with only 54 seconds remaining. :f_cry:
