NL 20 AKo vs loose opp

MP play preflop looks more like trapping. Here he is raising and calling a cold 4bet. I would be surprised if he had anything else than QQ+.

Just fold on flop and move on.

I agree with others. Better to fold OTF.

Am I the only one disagreeing with the preflop 4bet?

To be honest, this is a clear coldcall for me.

As played, easy give-up. You probably look into a Big Pocketpair way too often

I like that 4bet because if we cold call we give good odds for MP to call too and we might end up playing OOP multiway.

Because we aren't getting it AI profitably vs the BTN. Are you jamming QQ/AK on a 4bet in this spot?

For this reason I rather see a "cheap" flop, even though it's multiway sometimes.

AKo beats BTN's 3betting range here. We don't have to go broke but I think that wouldn't be super bad either. But I got your point.

I prefer taking down the pot preflop. There are enough money in already.
With calling we can face a mw pot oop without initiative.

That's why poker is so interesting. Both plays are +EV. But if we assume Villain is rarely shoving QQ/AK and is mostly going broke with KK+ only: Isn't it better to 4bet-bluff wider and call AK/QQ? I mean let's say we take this range and plan to 4bet/fold.. we could actually call, and play a wider range like that (ergo: make more money)

Besides, playing postflop is less boring than playing preflop. (This does not express an opinion about what to do in the actual hand.)

Cause we have a fish who's calling 4 bets with eff 100 bb stack, fold equity, 1 billion outs, and we gonna take a profit from AK in 4bet pots despite of the fact it never hits the flop.
