I think it`s other way round nowdays.

SUI - KAZ, 2-3 PS.
SVK - HUN, 4-1
FRA - GER, 3-2 PS.
NOR - DEN, 0-3
LAT - CZE, 3-4 PS.
BLR - USA, 3-6

We have saw few surprise at the tournament so far. Latvia almost won Czech yesterday at regular time but Czechs manage to tie the game at the end of the 3rd period and they took the victory at the penalty shots. Latvia has now took one point from both Sweden and Czech Republic. Kazakhstan won Switzerland also at penalty shots which was also quite big surprise. This was their first victory at world championships for 10 years.

I have to support Latvia, as my wife is Latvian. so Go Latvia

I think you just lost against Sweden.

I`m always hoping that some smaller hockey country could beat couple big teams (not Finland though) and maybe even won a medal. It would be good for the game and would also be really refreshing. Like Switzerland few years back when they "won" silver medals.

Btw. this guy, Patrik Laine, upcoming top 2 draft pick, 2+1 against Belarus. Now 2+1 against Germany. Sick player.

Same in Finland. They also interviewed Finnish women team coach and he also said that there should be no cheerleaders. Has anyone asked those cheerleaders do they want to be there dressed lighty and dance there or has someone forced them to do that?!?!

Finland beat USA with 3-2, was a surprisingly close match as the Finns are way more stacked than the US this tournament. Probable first pick Auston Matthews registered 1 assist in the game, Laine (probably second pick in upcoming draft) didn't register a point this time around.

The Czech republic beat Sweden with 4-2 after being down 0-2 which was kinda surprising as well, some guy called Michal Birner was the hero with 2 goals and 1 assist.

Laine did not play well yesterday. He was pretty close to made a goal at powerplay in the 1st period though. USA first goal also happened because Laine lost the puck at the USA blue lane and also because it was the kind of shot that goalkeeper should prevent every single time. But Laine will improve now on.

I don’t mind if they are to light dressed. That’s their own concern I think.
