I could actually apply for a credit card even without a salary. It's called a secured credit card, whereby you can use a fixed deposit as collateral. All those air miles I could have used for my constant travelling 
Plans for 2016
Very pessimistic about the future of poker. I'll try to go all out this year and see if I can make as much as I possibly can. I might go to Vegas during the summer. February (and all major Chinese holidays) will be spent in Macau as usual. I might go to live in Bangkok for a few months to grind some online poker. Right now I'm just chilling in Singapore, hanging out with my family and friends.
Different groups of friends have mentioned wanting to visit different places, so I guess I will still be doing quite a bit of travelling. Some of these places include:
-Russia/Finland (Trans Siberian): Seems like 2016 is the last year to see the Northern Lights for the next 10 years
-Osaka
-Austria, Innsbruck: Some skiing
-Nepal
-Vegas
-China
It's usually harder to find people to travel with when you're older. People around you are trapped at work and others are starting to get married. So I'll make good use of the opportunity to travel more when I'm still in my 20s.
Poker Coaching
Right now I have 2 coaching-for-profit deals with 2 of my Chinese friends/students. I'm taking 1/3 of their total profits in exchange for regular coaching for an entire year. The deal doesn't seem too favourable for me if they only play online poker BUT it would certainly be great if they play a ton of live games (100k USD a year is easy for live games).
I'm done with my new GTO course Game Theory For OverAchievers, if you're interested you can check it out here. Initially I was only intending to build this course for a Chinese audience but since I had already spent a significant amount of time preparing the material I decided to make an English version instead. The English version has over 20 hours of content which is a lot better than the Chinese version IMO. Even if you do not purchase the course, do check out my website and youtube channel, I have planned quite a lot of free material over the next 2-3 months.
I'm not sure if I want to build Yolosaurus Goes All-in Season 2. I still have about 4 weeks of free time, if I find sufficient motivation I might be able to complete it before leaving.
I'm also thinking about conducting some live workshops for live poker with one of my friends (the top poker winner in Singapore). Maybe this could lead to something more interesting.

can you talk in more detail? I have poker friend who plays NL20 and lives in Austria (not the cheap country) and have not heard any pesimism. I myself am strugling to get back motivation , cause when I take breaks of months, then I loose my confidence and have to start again from NL2 to get it back, and playing NL2 is not motivation for those few bucks and tons of hours.
I mean - there were people all the time saying the poker is dead, but many of them were lazy people who do not want to work to get a skill and want easy money.
But as far as I know, you are not one of them, so this is interesting.

Poker at higher stakes is certainly dying, and that is of course harder to see at like NL400 and below.

He currently lives with mom, but he plans to move out to bigger city (as I understood as soon as he gets higher winrate or move up a limit). But he puts a tons of hours, I did not ask, but when I talk to him, he has mentioned so many time that he has no time, he has to grind, so probably 60 hours per week is normal to him 
I believe poker is not as fishy as it was, but it should never completely die (or maybe some form will die but another form will be popular). There are always gamblers who have money. Just the % of good players increase I think.
I believe poker will come to some point when good player % should stop increasing because of no motivation for many (too little $ per hour).

it won't completely die. but some of us have loftier goals than to just make $100/hr. That's why I'm moving on eventually. Your friend is still young and probably still in school. When I was 20, I was still optimistic about poker. I could always fall back on a regular job if I failed. Costs are extremely low when you stay with your parents.

I would recommend to try programming - this is hugely profitable if you are inveting time into study. I thought some people can play poker forever as long as they earn good enough money. But if 100 $ / hour is not enought, then I am not sure even if programming can help Maybe in western countries like germany it is achievable. Or if you own a company.
So for me 100 $ per hour would be insane money. 100 $ per day would be good money for me in lithuania at least now. The friend is much older than 20 and even has proably 10 years old kid.

Affiliate marketing doesn't work with "trying". But you are a grinder so you probably put in more time into than some people who do it full time. Said hi on STM

@speedfanatic: Your friend doesn't aim very high I suppose. NL20 cannot support his family in Austria for sure.
@cantunho: Just go play any live game with sufficiently high stakes. Macau and Vegas are the two top destinations. I think singapore and London are decent as well (10/20 SGD and 5/10 GBP). Or better still, if you have the contacts to get into a juicy private game, go for it.

hehe not going all out yet, I'm aware that there's a very steep learning curve. Not going to have unrealistic expectations of printing super hard in my first year especially when I'm not doing it full time yet.
I actually have plenty of free time to spare. I only work 100 hours a month for poker. Pretty sure if I pushed myself hard enough I could squeeze another 100 hours a month for AM. Just need to find the motivation to do so.
