Hi, good to see you here.

I'd recommend you to have a look at iPoker, particularly NetBet Poker: link to NetBet download

In April, we will be running our Gemstone promotion, with double Gemstones - where on NetBet the additional rakeback value would be ca. 53% extra. If you don't have an account there yet, the first deposit bonus will also give you an additional boost.

Gemstones run from April till June, and each month you need to collect at least 1 Gemstone to get the full payout in July (which means min. 7500 SP for the red Gemstone = $150 or min. 2500 SP for the green Gemstone = $75).

In case you already have a NetBet account, have a look at other Gemstone rooms in the news above. William Hill and bet365 are good options as well.

Hi Tampaguy! It looks like you're from the United States. Please note that our partner rooms do not accept US players for real money poker games..

Hello!

Just started to play poker more seriously. I want to know which room is suitable for my play. Atm i'm playing at pokerstars and just made an account on NETBET.
1. Which game type you play? (No limit? Sit & Go? MTT? PLO, Fixed Limit, Other?)
Mostly Sit & Go, sometime No limit Cashgames
2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)
NL10 - NL50
3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?
Full ring
4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)
10-15 h/w
5. How many tables do you want to play?
1-2
6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?
Develop my pokerskills, learn to play better poker and grow my bankroll

Preferably NLH and sometimes PLO.

2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)

I prefer the lower limits.

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?

Full Ring Tables prefered.

4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)
Maybe some hours a week, but I also like playing bigger tournaments from time to time (in matter of time )

5. How many tables do you want to play?

1 to a few. But not too many as I am not that experienced.

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?

I have played many games already and I have had bad misplays but also some nice succeses yet and what I have always struggled with was bankrollmanagement after some time. I want to get away from that up and down (gambling) attitude and get some line into my game/attutide, like some kind of consistency.

7. What time zone are you in and what times do you play?

CET. I play in the evenings but also at other times. Depends.

8. Which rooms do you already hold accounts at?

Some Ipoker rooms/skins(I don't like them too much, basically because of the software/design and the gambling content), PS, FT, PP, PKR.
Of all of these rooms I prefered PS the most but I have exluded myself for a time because I was tilting. So now that I feel better again I feel like finding a solid alternative to PS until my exclusion is over.

Thanks for the room tips and possibly other tips.
Have a nice time!

Hey sickb0y77,

Terribly sorry. I forgot all about you. :sorry:

If you don't like iPoker skins, then I would suggest 888. They are one of the few sites outside of PokerStars that has healthy FR traffic.

I just checked 24hBet on Microgaming Network and they have 4 full tables of NL2 and one of NL4 plus some half full tables so they could be an option as well.

Microgaming have had a nice influx of traffic with the PKR migration and have the lowest cash game rake of any site (including Stars).

If you have any further questions, then please don't hesitate to ask.

Again, my apologies

Laz

Hey FreddyCrooks,

PartyPoker looks a good option with 6 tables of NL10, 14 of NL25 and 8 tables of NL50 FR running.

NL10-50 at PKR or 24hBet

NL10-50 at 888

There are some nice choices there. 888 offers a 100% FDB and the biggest fishpool out there. 24hBet and PKR offer 200% FDBs and guaranteed rakeback while Party offers 100% FDB but are also participating in our Gemstone promotion.

If you have any further questions then please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers :f_drink:

1. Which game type you play? (No limit? Sit & Go? MTT? PLO, Fixed Limit, Other?)
I play FL HE, FR en SH (and some PLO for variety)

2. Which limit do you play? (example: NL25, SNG $11, FL .50/1)
0.05/0.10 to 0.50/1.00, however I would like to move up when I beat 0.50/1.00

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?

Full ring and Short handed. I like Full ring better, but I moved to SH because of traffic.

4. How much do you play? (e.g. I play 3 hours a week, or I generate $1000 rake/month)
It varies. about 1hour every day, sometimes more, sometimes less.

5. How many tables do you want to play?
at least 4 tables. for FR up to 16 tables depening on the setup I have available.

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?
improve my SH-game to beat 0.50/1.00 and move up to 1/2

7. What time zone are you in and what times do you play?
New Zealand time, I play during the day or evening.

8. Which rooms do you already hold accounts at?

Pokerstars (not tracked) - I would like to have a tracked account where I can play to keep/increase my status level
EverestPoker (tracked)
BetMost (not tracked)
PartyPoker (tracked) --> I will never play here again unless they are under new management. Their segregation, cash-out policies and their general anti-regs policy made me come to this decision.

Hello Sailer85

I’m just checking and there aren’t many good sites you can play FLHE with. Especially 16 tables at once is only possible on PokerStars. So I think an Ipoker room like Everest Poker is still a good option for you, but if you want a new bonus you can play on NetBet for example. Beware there is than only enough traffic in the peak hours (early in the morning in NZ). The traffic for PLO is a lot better, but even than it will be difficult to play to often 4 tables at once at the same limit.

Hopefully this helps a little bit, but if you have more questions don’t hesitate to ask it.

Cheers,
SDK1987

I would advise you not to play on Party Poker, their management are scammers.

In the past they have (without notifying the players) implemented a software change preventing regulars/winning players to see tables with fish/losing players, this means they had to play better players and more rake for PP.

If you play there you will also have a lot of issues with cashouts, first of all, you can deposit without verification but you cannot cashout with out it. So to cash out you will have to submit a buttload of proof incl (but not limited to): passport, verification of bankaccount, verification of home adress and sometimes more.

The rake is (very) high, even with recent drops in rake they are still a lot more expensive than most/all of their competitors.

And if that is not enough crap, they have a uncapped 3% fee on any cashout. This means that you have to pay 3% on anything you want to withdraw from the website.

I would strongly advise against playing on Party Poker ever.

Hey Sailer85,

I would like to correct you on a couple of points.

All poker rooms have or are taking steps to eradicate bum hunting and table camping, not just party.

All poker rooms will allow you to deposit without verification although I have heard the very occasional case of a user's account being locked upon deposit until verification.

All poker rooms require verification before you can withdraw although some rooms will allow you to withdraw small amounts without verification.

I have yet to verify my party account but in the client it only lists Government issued ID. They may require more but most other rooms also require a utility bill or bank statement as proof of address.

Party actually make it easy to verify your account at any time direct from the client. Most other rooms you would need to either contact support or request a withdrawal to kickstart the whole process.

The rake is (very) high, even with recent drops in rake they are still a lot more expensive than most/all of their competitors.

I agree. Possibly only iPoker have a higher rake system.

And if that is not enough crap, they have a uncapped 3% fee on any cashout. This means that you have to pay 3% on anything you want to withdraw from the website.

This has been removed over the last 9 months. In July last year withdrawal charges for all methods were removed except Skrill, Neteller and WebMoney. Those charges were also removed in February.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Regards

Laz

Yeah, but PartyPoker introduced them after they had just announced not to implement new software features. 2week later they introduced the software to segregate players based on skill without their knowledge. They did this unannounced. When within a week orso the first people started to notice and started posting video's of it on youtube there was 1 (probably accidental admission on the 2+2 website by a rep) after which there was NO explenation about the table until 1YEAR! later!! When they reversed the software, they admitted no fault but just said that people were taking advantage of the system.

To illustrate how crappy PartyPoker reacted, just before the introduction (feb 2013 i believe) they were by far the largest pokerroom after Pokerstars with well over 5k players at any moment. At the moment they have 2k players at peak traffic. This is because in the 6months following the change they lost A LOT of regulars and received a lot of bad press.

It is good to see that after 3years they are trying to better themselves, but I would still refrain from playing there as it is an absolute travesty how they handled their players.

I personally don't care about the higher rake system at Ladbrokes because (In less than 50 words)...
the site and table colour co-ordination does it for me. I love Ladbrokes  :f_drink:

10NL 6 max UK fish playing 4-6 tables about 10k hands per month, mostly evenings.

Already have non-tracked accounts at stars, party and 888. Tracked at Netbet and WH.

Looking for a new room to get back to gold status as there's not much new NL stuff for silver.

Passionately hate EVERYTHING ipoker (thought the old client was bad until I used the new one!!) so that's not an option. Never played on a microgaming site so was going to give 24h a go but not available to UK players? Played quite a bit on Party last few months and quite like it there. Can I get tracked at BWIN? Is it any good? Any other suggestions? Thanks.....
