AQo flops TP gets donked into

He actually could bet so big with sets more than with Ax to get most value from Ax and vice versa there are less reason to bet big with A blocker in both cases: when you have a better A and not (in the former case he doesn't get value from pocket pairs and second pairs and in the latter case he looses to better Ax which raised preflop)
As played, I would not want to raise without info here and presume that you mostly get action of better hands. I think I would call and reevaluate OTT.

This is a tricky spot. This is a typical spot you are in front or far behind and if you raise you need to go all-inn as well. I would go for a call and her-evaluate the turn.

I dont think hes donking for pot any kind of draw OTF so what cards OTT will stop me calling a bet?

I don't think there is a scare card indeed. You will need to base your decision upon his action and see if your AQo is good enough against what he is representing

But if he bets anything less then I'm committed anyway, I cant call 1/2 pot OTT then fold to his 500 chip shove OTR.

If he bet a decent amount you can consider folding the turn indeed.

After he donk potted OTF which was an unconventional and strong move following his limp OOP he would most likely continue with his strong hands (by betting samely big or be betting small to get better pot odds for you for a call OTR) and give up mediocre hand or a total bluff (may be would have bet small or check) when he saw that you had quite a good hand to call a big bet OTF. Anyway, I would always call his small bet and reevaluate OTR.
