Just spotted you at NL25 Zoom. Zoom is way tougher than reg games no?

Keep going mate, you doing great job! :)

Thank you! :)

Not sure that the Zoom is way tougher, but I wouldn't say so. My impression is that it's a bit tougher, but just due to the fact that you can table select when play reg games. Last couple of days I play zoom only because don't have time to table select, but I would probably return back to reg tables in the near future.

Good luck to you with your NL25 shot! :f_thumbsup:

Oh, and some nice session to start the week with: ;)

I'm definitelly on a heater this week so far. :f_cool:

I hope that can keep this nice winrate of 34,44 bb/100. :f_drink:

NL25 shot so far:

Also nice to catch up All In EV! :f_pleased: Another cool thing is that I managed to double up my bankroll this year. Started with 1.149,75 USD and now have 2.367,10 USD. 367,10 USD to bust before moving back to NL16! Let's hope it won't be neccessary! :why:

Of course you don't amigo, it is working quite well for you right now.

When you get higher (which you will) and realise that your checking ranges are too weak and that you will get your botty burned for this then you might need to consider it. For now, nobody is exploiting you so fire away!

Mythbuster #1 - You think that you are protecting your equity and not allowing villain to get free cards aka realize their equity for free aka bluff you later in the pot... What if they choose to bluff you right NOW by raising you? What if they raise and barrel?

Just to consider for future amigo. :f_love:

True, but that's not going to happen very often at this limit (maybe not even at NL50, will hopefully find out some day :f_ugly:), so if someone raises, I will hapilly fold, even much better hands than 3rd pairs. Actually, I stick to what w34z3l tought me - if someone at these limits skips flop cbet, you have an automatic profit with a turn probe and you have an automatic profit with river barrel. I even had a homework (after one coaching session) to attack every single check to see that this is actually working. In 77 hand I had a showdown value so the theory is maybe not fully applicable, but I had different reasons to bet as I stated (turn protection and thin value, river block and thin value). For example, Ax or 66-22 are probably not betting the river if I check, but they migh call if I bet. If I check, I probably wouldn't be happy to see a big bet.

Now in future hands, you will know that you should always raise me. :f_p:

Hmm, I can't find the hand because I don't know your PokerStars nickname. What happened?

The "wierdest" 77 yesterday was this:

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $28.71 (114.8 bb)
Hero (BB): $34.77 (139.1 bb)
UTG: $9.97 (39.9 bb)
MP: $21.36 (85.4 bb)
CO: $29.45 (117.8 bb)
BTN: $26.78 (107.1 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7♦: 7♠:
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.56, SB folds, Hero calls $0.31

Flop: ($1.22) 9♣: 2♥: K♦: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($1.22) K♣: (2 players)
Hero bets $0.58, BTN calls $0.58

River: ($2.38) K♥: (2 players)
Hero bets $1.13, BTN calls $1.13

Results:

Spoiler

$4.64 pot ($0.21 rake)
Final Board: 9♣: 2♥: K♦: K♣: K♥:
Hero showed 7♦: 7♠: and won $4.43 ($2.16 net)
BTN mucked A♦: 3♣: and lost (-$2.27 net)

If that's the hand, turn bet was mostly a protection bet (don't want to see any overcard to 7 OTR), but also a thin value bet. I expect K or 9 to cbet the flop most of the time. The river could be a check, I believe, but I decided for a thin value/blocking bet because expect 66-22 to call sometimes given how the board developed + I don't want to face a big bet. What did you put me on to call the river?

I can't find another 77 hand where I bet the river...

Well the probe bet thing is a totally different point to protection betting BUT the reason it works at micros is because people protection bet do you see??? In other words when people X the flop they have nothing so you can bet. And, therefore, you have proved EXACTLY why you should NOT protection bet. You have proved it is totally exploitable to not have some strength in your checking range. Your man has taught you a good play at micros to make easy money (the probe) but it would be helpful to know why. Hopefully you can see now.

Also I was more referring to that cbet with A2 on 8d7d2o as that was a bluff for sure.

77 is worse.

Here is the report for Get Rich or Die Tryin' - The Bankroll Challenge:

Starting bankroll: 1.061,04 USD
Targeting bankroll: 5.305,20 USD
Last week bankroll: 2.064,11 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------
Week 79
Hands (NL25): 8.239
Profit: 265,26 USD
Rakeback: 20,00 USD
Week 79 profit: 285,26 USD
Week 79 progress: 13,82%
Current bankroll: 2.349,37 USD
-------------------------------------------------------------
Overall profit: 1.288,33 USD
Overall progress: 30,36%

Very satisfied with the results. Too bad for some bad beats at the end of the week, but I took my fair portion of luck considering how good I was running at the beginning of it. Not sure is it too early to say that the NL25 shot succeeded, but at least I hope it is. Here are overall NL25 shot results so far:

Holy cow! Nice hands and nice villains! Damn that Q8dd guy!!!

Is 32k hands your total sample at NL25 amigo or for this current "shot" (it is not a shot anymore you are an established NL25 reg imo)?

I had some very short NL25 shots before, just 6,5k hands in total, so this is my longest "shot" so far. Thank you for considering me a NL25 reg, though! :f_biggrin:

Yes, stick to w3... Strategy, don't listen to other players :)
I would bet in this spot much less, 10-20% pot. With 50% bet size, you turned your hand into bluff.
