I play $1.50 ones and is not going too well :f_biggrin:

Couple of questions if you don't mind:

#1 What are most common beginners' leaks? How to look for leaks in my own game and what to look for specifically? (I'm using HM2)

#2 What standard stats look like for winning players at micro 6max hypers? (VPIP, PFR, 3Bet etc)

#3 I was trying to do a rough starting hands chart for when 18-25bbs (1st level). Let's say every single villain is unknown. Could you tell me what you think please :)

EP:
22+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, ATo+, KQo

HJ:
22+, A8s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, A9o+, KQo

CO:
22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, A9o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo

BTN:
22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q8s+, J8s+, T8s+, 97s+, 86s+, 75s+, 65s, A2o+, K9o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o, 98o, 87o

SB: (same range as CO)
22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, 87s, 76s, A9o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo

Good questions. I would suggest widening these ranges, for example not folding KJo UTG and hijack, and playing mid suited kings from the small blind. For stats, I would suggest looking at the stats your best opponents are playing as an approximate idea. For leaks, possibly being too tight flatting and 3betting small facing opens at 25bb ... happy to elaborate in a coaching.

Nice idea, and definitely take a look at Tonypmm's comments on KOs.

Don't u think we should take into account, namely discount the outs because they may be dealt to our opponents and thus i will never hit them. in case of a spade flush draw on 9-max table it means that i will miss 4 spades of 9 on average because 16 cards held by my opponents will contain 4 spades on average.
let me know yr email, and I will submit my calculation.

appreciate yr being explicit and convincing when pointing out at my mistakes.

Good question. Yes our opponents may have our outs, but they're equally likely to hold other cards which would increase our chance of hitting the draw because we'd have 9 outs and effectively less than 47 cards left in the deck. On balance these possibilities cancel each other out.

I might have difficulty doing a full coaching session in French, but happy to discuss this over PM.

Oh wow, thanks for mentioning me all of a sudden :f_pleased:

Btw, your new video on 6-man super-KOs is excellent :f_thumbsup:, except that I'd be both opening looser and defending the blinds looser in the very first hand of the SNG because if I fold then, I no longer cover some of the opponents and I'd rather cover as many players as possible, even by a margin of a few chips.

Everyone is free to add me as a friend and discuss KO Poker, but bear in mind that I'm not playing at Stars and I'm going to stop playing partypoker's SNG Hero (I don't have a sufficient sample at either of the sites) so I'm not practising my theories.

I do think that, in case you (members) are uncomfortable playing at other sites, KO Poker currently has the best profitability prospect out of all Stars games because it's the newest format, it hasn't been figured out enough by regs yet (even though the recent addition of bounty handling into Holdem Resources Calculator and ICMIZER 2 has made the game much more 'solved' than before), and even with the tools, the game is more complex than non-KO forms of poker because, as said above, a 1-chip difference in stack sizes may affect bounty eligibility and change the evaluation dramatically.

Party's SNG Hero is yet not as solved as Stars KOs because calculator developers haven't yet added the support of the bounty on one single player at the table as opposed to all the players. I guess such a feature may come soon. Be advised that Party is on a network with low effective rake which is thus filled by (possibly weak) regs, so it's suited to those who're OK with having to analyse particular regs' tendencies in the database as opposed to focusing on exploitation of recreationals.

Thanks Tony! And very nice tip on first hand play.

Based on feedback from this thread, we're going to look at 6max bounty SNGs during the coaching this week. If any extra time then you guys can pick the format you'd like to see, but we'll begin with bounty games :)

Hey Collin, Do you have a rough roadmap for beginning players to follow. I used to play alot back in the day but quit and played here and there when I felt like it no real study or playing happened for afew years.
I see that alot of PS articles and videos are from a long time ago but even if you could suggest some things to start with that would be great. I have the basic knowledge and have used the SHC on PS here but looking to gain more knowledge what would you suggest?

Thnks

JoeRichy, Good question. I would definitely suggest watching all of the Pokerstrategy videos and coaching that you can. There is a fresh supply of new content. Check the Videos page, and also my weekly coaching and others. If you come this Wednesday (or any other week), I'd be very happy to see you on the coaching :)

XxEngPokerXx ... You're right right, no more badugi!

This week on the coaching, my good friend Honigmund38 is going to return to play SNGs, WCOOP, and hopefully whatever we ask him. So live play with a lot of strategy, hope you can make it!

WCOOP fever! We'll be doing a day 2 run in a mini-WCOOP review this Wednesday, talking about slower structured events and deep-stacked play.
