August 2nd

Whole day celebrated with friends, great times! In the evening watched Crvena Zvezda with friends, they lost and deserved to loose. In the morning went to give blood sample, waited for them to let me know the results but something did not happen apparently - tomorrow I will call them and check about results + talk to doctor to analyze it for me. Played 1 session despite planing to take whole day off! It did not go so well, variance effected, very low ITM % and lost close to 20 buy ins from which I got super light called in several games by recreational players where I had bluffs and then there were dozen setups. Not worried, tomorrow is a new day and I will push 6 hours grind to make more then 5k this month and save as much as possible money and possibly complete the challenge by 1st of September.

Tomorrow have training with Sensei at Crossfit temple. Very much look forward to it. This week I am starting to train 4 times per week , 3 with Sensei and 1 on my own. On Thursday I will go and run on my own 6 laps keeping the same mid to high intensity without dropping time from very 1st lap. Should be lots of fun and I look forward seeing time I will have for the 1st lap. I expect to finish it all under 10 minutes!

Today I am very happy and proud that I drank very little booze even though I had very good occasion to get drunk and hammered. I took 3 small shots of Rakija for the whole day, no beer after it, ate very healthy in my favorite restaurant and I just feel more in charge and with energy.
Really decided to tackle this weight and body fat dropping seriously and I am going towards dropping booze all together. In about 2 months time I will do tests again to check my weight and body fat. A week ago It showed 88 kgs and 18,9% body fat. My goal by the end of the year is to get down to 10% body fat which can be achieved by either dropping body fat weight while maintaining muscle (going down to 77-80kgs) or by dropping a lot of body fat weight but gaining muscle (in this case I could end up with 83-85kg but have more muscle and still have 10% body fat).

Here is the graph for today and tomorrow I will try to go for 6 hours of grind (2 sessions before training in the morning and 4 later during the day):

Enjoy the remaining of the week on and off the tables!

Good news!
Got results from my blood sample test(s) and all the things are perfectly in balance. They did testing on 9 different things including diabetis (my dad has it), good and bad type of cholesterol (all in absolute balance) etc. Doctor was right when she said that I should not worry at all since my fitness score and all the other parameters look great.
Now all that's left to do is eat and train right, push hard and add additional workouts to keep burning those kgs and bring body fat down! Hope that next 5-6 months before Thailand and Asia trip will be enough to go from 18.9 to 10% body fat!

On the other news, poker variance standard stuff. Like someone at Stars did doom switch now Not worried, on contrary very excited to put in as many hours as possible. Hopefully I get to 6-7k number this month from poker alone!

Wow, so, scrap all these calculations about ROI and disregarding the jackpots - just hit and win them! Baaaam!

Quick update

Yesterday got drunk with 2 of my great friends. Totally got hammered and went home at 7pm to get ready for birthday party at 8pm. Fell asleep and crashed hard. Woke up 1:30am then slept until 6am again and now 9-10:30am slept again. Crazy stuff.

Poker wise, at 9ish hours grind. Realistically I can hit 150 hours this month which would be phenomenal. Some important life things are getting in a way. Yesterday just when I was thinking things were over between me and girl that I like, I found out that she really likes me a lot but got upset because I was flirting with her friend or something. Silly stuff like that, that makes life great

Yesterday ran 6 laps x 300m and more in under 9:30 minutes (9:22 total). Tomorrow have training at 11am which I have no clue how I will be ready and prepared for. Need to rest well today and eat protein to gather that energy with lots of water since I am absolutely dehydrated.

Today will take laptop with me to grind in 1 coffee place. I will aim to grind when my favorite Asian girl that is in charge of multipliers and card distribution works to make things easy and smooth.

Wish you all a great weekend - graph coming in next couple of days to get the sample of 1k games.

Another quick update

Poker going so and so. Playing with C game, not really super productive. Need to get back into it every morning and finish 2-3 out of 5-6 sessions of the day. That is the theme and idea by the end of this month.

Fitness, I am very close to hitting my 10kgs to loose in 12 weeks since i started working with Sensei. I have 3 more weeks total left to finish 36 sessions and I am positive I will drop those remaining 2kgs. Past 2-3 weeks has been very hard, those kgs simply won't go. So last week I introduced 4th training and I will do it every week as well. Besides that I am going to focus on cooking all the things at home to make sure I keep calories tracked with intermittent fasting. I need 1500 calories per day if I want to drop 1kg per week or 2000 calories for 0.5kg dropping per week. Since there is about 20ish weeks until the end of the year, I will go for 77-78kgs if possible which will give me 8-10% body fat before Asia in late January. Also I will focus on more strength training which in return will provide more muscle and definition but also gain weight in muscles. So total weight is really hard to estimate, I just know that 85kg is very attainable and ideally it would kick ass to have 80kgs but have very low body fat and solid muscle definition. Yesterday I bought new shoes for training. They were 60% off, saw the deal by accident and decided to go for it. Nike Pegasus Air Zoom 31, look them up.

Other life news. Things are going up and down with the girl that I like and I am positive that affects my focus while playing as well. I am strong believer that you either have a awesome girlfriend/fiance/wife or you don't have it. Everything else is taking out emotional energy and focus when playing. That's at least the case with me and I am positive a lot of guys out there can relate to this :) Does this mean I stop thinking about this girl or seeing her? Of course not :) Life is full of those situations and challenges, small games that I love to deal with and win consistently at. I will figure out a way to regain my focus, improve my game, put hours in and still have time to see the girl that I like.

Need to leave now, at noon is my training session with Sensei. Very much look forward to it always!!!

Enjoy your new week on and off the tables!

Great news!
Came from training, weight scale says 86.1kg! 3 more weeks including this one or 11 more trainings to go to drop 1 more kg. So close and within the reach!!! The challenge for weight loss which I considered very hard is now 90% completed with 11 out of 36 trainings still left!

Another great news is I talked to my Sensei about remaining of the year. Since on 27th of July I had 88kg and 18.9% body fat, I wanted to loose body fat by the end of the year to 10% or whatever is possible. Realistically I will have about 60 trainings by the end of the year with Sensei, if we do 4 times per week which he suggested also, then 80 or so. Within this time with correct diet I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to hit 12-13% body fat. I am willing to sacrifice alcohol, take it out 99% of the time, 1% of the time just for cheers and special occasions. I am also starting to track all the macros in order to properly follow 500 calories deficit per day in relation to daily calories my body needs.

Poker will be very interesting in August. I will push for 150 hours but will be happy with 120 as well. I will be very happy if I manage to save all together 6k in this month (including the 200x I won). Right now not running so good with ITM but also not playing A game but mostly b- c game. Things will improve by the end of the month, I have no doubt about it, just matter of time!

Weight loss

I decided to share some very useful things I came across while studying and figuring out how to tackle weight loss. There is several key areas that I will mention here and I am sure to some of you, things I found will be new or simply unexpected. So prepare for unexpected is all I will say before you read on.

1. Calorie Deficit
This is one of the best concepts I found and learned about. To drop 1lb or 0.5kg of weight, you need to drop 3500 calories weekly which is 500 calories per day. When I say drop, I mean you 1st need to figure out what is the maintenance calorie intake (plenty of calculators online to help you with it) that your body needs daily and from that number take away 500 calories a day. If you want to drop 1kg per week without any exercise, then you need 1000 calories per day deficit to keep this going.
The key thing about calorie deficit is it doesn't care what kind of foods you eat, as long as you stay in calorie deficit you will loose weight! This is so important and to me groundbreaking. I always thought that you must eat specific number of grams of protein, carbs and fat to loose kgs but the reality is very different. Our body doesn't care what you eat, it cares only how much you eat in relation to what your body needs in calories. If you eat less then what your body needs, you will be in calorie deficit and therefore loose weight. If you add working out, walking, running or any sort of activity, those things will not only be great for your body mind and mood but they will speed up the process of weight loss and allow you to eat more while in deficit thanks to it!

2. Loosing weight while maintaining or increasing muscle
This is the 2nd thing I discovered how to do while doing research (watching tons of YouTube videos and reading blogs online). If you create calorie deficit, you will loose weight. By now that should be very clear, but if don't work out or eat enough protein, you will also loose muscle in the process! Now, depending if you just want to loose weight regardless of muscles (example: you don't work out nor don't want to take care of your body that way but just want a number on the scale that fits you) then you can eat whatever you want and just follow the calorie deficit rule. If however you want to like in my case, maintain muscle and drop weight from body fat, then you need to think more in depth how to do that. 2 key ways are : 1) Exercises focusing on strength training which increases muscle 2) Creating calorie deficit but focusing on right amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fat. Number 1 is fairly easy concept. You can work on body weight exercises as well as compound movements such as squats, dead lifts and such. Those exercises will increase overall strength and muscle in your body which will in return boost your muscles while you are on calorie deficit and loosing fat. In my example I am pretty sure that past 2 weeks I dropped 1-2kgs of body fat but on my weight scale it didn't show significantly because I am gaining muscle along the way with training. 2nd concept is very important. In Crossfit they recommend 40-40-30 macro split for carbs, protein and fats. Conventional dieting is 50-30-20 carbs protein and fats. There is Keto diet which focuses on fat and protein and zero to very little carbs. I use intermittent fasting, eating 1st meal around 1:30pm and ending at 9-9:30pm. During those times I can never really put in my body 2000 calories (even 1500 calories is a stretch for me!) because I get fed up with 1 large quality meal with enough protein healthy salads (fruits and vegetables). Excellent example for my strong meal is Cesar salad but made in a special way that I tell food place to make me. I also like to eat Spinach egg omelet again made in special way for me at food place.

3. Body fat% and why it is important
After doing research on body fat%, I found out that besides making you look good/great/amazing shirtless it has numerous health benefits. I strongly suggest you do reading on your own if you are interested in this area.
There are numerous online calculators where you can enter your age, height and body fat % and it will show you how many kgs you need to drop to get leaner or add to bulk up. In my example, I am 33 177cm and I wrote in 88kgs with 18.9% (body fat% that I had on 27th of July - estimate it is lower now 10 days later thanks to better dieting and stronger trainings!) and it showed me that I need to get down to 78kgs to get down to 10% body fat. With 10% body fat your 6 pack abs will be visible and your muscles will be very defined. There are people with 6%-8% body fat, they look absolutely ripped but that is not my goal right now, I want to train hard and through correct dieting to loose weight and drop body fat to acceptable level where my workout results will show.
It is important to notice that this is a long road, unlike spins where you can win 200x in 1 game, this has to be achieved through daily dieting, working out with increased goals and focusing on strength and then in 4-6-12 months depending on the pace you do things and where you start at, results will definitely show.
I very much look forward to my transformation from 18.9% to 10% body fat. I take once a month pictures of how I look and weight myself regularly.

4. Calorie tracking, booze and other "unhealthy" things
I strongly recommend you install application on your phone MyFitnessPal. You will set how often you work out, age, weight and your goals after which application will give you daily calorie intake in order to loose or gain weight. You can then each day as you eat and drink things add what you are taking and it will show you exact calories with macros included. The app is amazing because it allows you to scan products in stores and it recognizes them and what amazed me is there is Serbian foods when you type in Serbian language - really brutal stuff. Examples for Serbian foods that I typed are Palacinka (pancake), Pileca Prsa (Chicken Breast), Fornetti (bakery product), Sladoled (ice cream) etc.
So thanks to this application I am tracking since recently my calorie intake focusing on having 500 calories deficit each day. Remember, calorie deficit equals weight loss! Your body does not care if you drink all day and don't eat anything or eat and not drink. To loose weight you need the calorie deficit period! So that leads me to the next points, drinking booze eating ice cream and such "unhealthy" things.
Alcohol has empty calories. The reason why they are called empty calories is because they don't fill you up like when you eat something. Also, depending on what you drink, it has very little protein and a lot more fat and carbs in comparison to food. This however doesn't mean that you shouldn't have alcohol when dieting. You can still fit it in your diet for loosing weight as long as you are still creating that 500 calories deficit or whatever your goal is for weight loss.
Ice cream is great example of carbs and fats. In my example I love ice cream and when I did food tolerance test found out that I can only eat peanuts the rest of the seeds I am allergic to - so I take my fats from things I love which is Ice cream. Yesterday I had nutella pancake because my intermittent fasting allows me to do so :)
So I suggest you start tracking your calories daily, follow your targets and don't be obsessed with what you can and can't do. You should enjoy your dieting while focusing on just hitting the right daily number. This concept is so amazing to me, it literally changed the way I look at eating and drinking. My mind now has 100% clarity what it needs to do and what to focus on, the rest is automation - eating and using the app + training hard for results to show later.

Final thoughts
I am very happy and determined that I have a clear cut plan what I need to do and how to do it.
My weight goal is to drop to 85kgs which is well within the reach now. 2nd weight goal is to keep maintaining muscle and adding some as well but dropping weight to 80kgs (5kgs more after I reach 1st target). That will give me 12-13% body fat and it will be very cool.
Body fat goal long term is to get to 10% from 18.9%. It is really hard to say if I will be able to get there by the end of this year since it is greatly affected by trainings and how my body will react to it. I do know that it is all about long term process and as long as I train hard an challenge my body with more weights, it will give me results in the long run. So in next 20ish weeks by the end of the year I will likely train 80 times, 60 times with Sensei and 20 times on my own. During these times my hope is to increase targets on each of the exercises that I currently do, increase muscles in the process while dropping down body fat.
Finally, dieting while working out. My long term goal is to drop anywhere from 0.5-1kg per day. With such goal I need to eat 1500-2000 calories per day which is no problem really since I use intermittent fasting and am since recently tracking all my calorie intake.
In next 6 months I will do an updated version of my results, until then training eating and taking care of sleeping hydration and stress will be the key.

I hope you found this interesting and useful for all of you that are looking to add or loose weight. It took me 45 minutes to write it all out here but I am sure it was worth it to some of you feeling lost, stuck or simply don't know where to turn and seek help for such things. This post was directed to all of you with such issues.

Wish you a great week on and off the tables!

Almost over with weight loss challenge!
So close to reaching my goal for the weight loss challenge. Today after training session weighted myself and I am now at 95.8kg! Started challenge at 95.4kg so need 400gr more to drop to complete it which should be very doable since I have 2.5 more weeks left and 10 training sessions left.
After I complete this challenge, next thing will be to drop to 80kg then 77 (my favorite number and ideal weight when I lived worked and trained in Boston MA) while eating enough protein to maintain muscle and pushing hard in training strength. I will go again to measure body fat % and all the other things for testing which I have free of charge thanks to 1st time I went (2nd check up is free) when I get to 80kgs hopefully. If in October I am in between 80-85kg I will still go since machine suggested that I drop from 88 to 84kg but all body fat kgs not muscles. It will be very interesting to check and see how much if any muscle I lost during the process of weight loss. It will serve me well for future eating and planing for protein since I was taking 0.5gr per kg of my weight which by all the things I saw and read is not enough (0.8gr per 1kg of body weight is minimum suggested to maintain muscles). So until October I will increase my protein intake by 50% through Intermittent fasting way of eating and I look forward seeing results then - it should definitely make a difference!

As promised, 1k games graph for August:

Didn't play my strong A game in those 20-30 hours of grind. Also variance was huge aspect in this sample, I did hit and win 200x, had 25x which I dominated with 2:1 chip lead in HU but lost in 2 all in spots, besides that just getting slaughtered post flop with run outs and pre flop with 3 and 2 outer situations. There is blame for results in my game also, I did overplay spots but that is only because I am experimenting and testing several new strategies that I am implementing in my game which I expect to increase win rate heavily. Finally, ITM is less then 38% and when that is the case it just shows me that I need to put in the volume and variance will do its job.
By the end of the month target is 120 hours, hope to make 6k total from poker post RB and when this month finishes have 10.9k$ ready for apartment mortgage. From that point on in remaining 4 months I will focus on grinding and saving money for BR and Thailand 2 month trip in January.

Enjoy your month on and off the tables!

Just when I was thinking that variance will start to move in different direction, this happened today:

Reason why most people can never become poker professionals or simply make a living from this game is days like this.

Tomorrow another 5 hour grind! Let's see when is the turning point for ITM to go up or maybe I am in line for some 12000x

Enjoy the rest of your week on and off the tables!

And after 1st session today, results are in:

Let's see how long doom switch will keep going :f_love:

P.S. Last game of the session won 6x which saved some losses.

Seeing how your focus has changed in past few weeks from 90-100% on poker and studying to some 50% at best, such swings are not that surprising if your edge drops. Im not saying that it is just because of bad play and big part of it is variance, but it sounds like you are definitely not playing at the level you were in June and start of July. I had similar results for past few week in 30s after having good results for a while, my answer was quite simple, I was not playing at the same level I was before, mainly because I lacked structure in my study process.

There is some truth to that buddy for sure. I am not playing my A game, on contrary I am changing strategy and testing several new things in the games. The reality is however 80% variance 20% my fault. Variance is everything from pre flop standard spots to post flop value betting and opponent hitting trips, flushes straights 2 pairs etc. Tons of setups and running into top of the ranges constantly, variance for sure. In 20% I would fit my overplaying due to tilt in some sessions but mainly is the increased variance due to new strategies implemented because opponents are putting me on a lot of harder decisions then before. Also, there is tons of those standard spots (limped pots, shallow stacked) when opponent bets 75%-100% but keeps turning TP+ hands every single time. Every strong combo draw not going through and tons of spots where I get setup with TP vs over-pairs shallow stacked. Then there is tons of limp/traps from guys that fold to iso 75%+.
You get the idea. I am in no denial that I am not playing my best but also I am 100% positive that this variance from 60+ buy ins I lost maybe 20% due to my fault in post flop overplaying and rest 80% buy ins are simply spots where I could have not done anything differently.
I wish you to return to 30s soon, I know you want to be there and keep moving. The reason why I don't go that road is because in this year I have made my mind to make and save 17k$ and 15s can get me there with steadier grind and decent focus. Next year, once I am done with these 3 major challenges + 1 weight loss/training, I will likely take shots at 30s again and spend tons of hours working on my game and improving it for 30s. Until then 15s as a steady flow - if we take out current run bad of course

Yesterday completed 5 hours grind and it went like day before, totaling around 1k loss in 10 hours of grind pre RB.
Today 1.5 session in, going now to complete my training and then head back to the tables.

Graph for 1.5 sessions today:

Goal for the end of the month is to keep this pace up, do 5 sessions per day grind 4 tabling, achieve between 120-140 hours of grind and 4k games. Expect things to turn around if not in this sample of 4k games then in the September. I am however positive that I will crush hard by the end of the month. My confidence and will to grind has never been this high. This downswing has pushed me back at tables for steady grind. I see textures now like Neo sees Matrix, for real I am not even kidding. A game starting to happen more and more in sessions which makes me happy. Making some very strong plays that bring the confidence even higher. Overall, expect things to turn around and my volume to kick in finally in next 5 months (including August).

Bring it on August!

Just got back from going out, 4 am style yeah baby :)
Tomorrow will post graph from today. Think around 40 buy ins below EV in 5 hours of grind, kinda brutal. For past 3 days or 15 days of grind should be break even but running close to 100 buy ins below EV. Spins are fun for sure.
I found myself today in 5th session doing some bad plays due to tilt but it was more due to shitty card distribution then anything more really.
Look forward to next 100-200 hours. Expect ITM to go to anywhere between 37-38% and some multipliers streak to happen as well. All together hourly is not jeopardized. If I put about 500 hours in next 4 months ins I should get 16k post RB which is more then enough for my 3 major goals for this year.

On some side but also important news, spent the whole night with 6-7 girls and it was brutal. Girl that I like but that I don't talk with for a while, tonight re-started flirting with me and giving me ways in. It was just to cool and funny, reminded me of time when I approached super hot girls in NYC with 4 guy and 1 girl friend and I took the girl home. Those kind of things stay in my head for life!
Tonight was no different. Don't be surprised if in next month 2 or 3, you read update that I found a girl for long term relationship. Everything in between is coming and going , short term type of thing that doesn't last ;)

Enjoy your weekend on and off the tables!

Slowly getting up. Will go for individual training in about 1 hour during the most sun outside. Not sure how I will manage today 5 hours of grind but spending time with all the girls and my favorite girl was certainly worth it.

Here is the graph from yesterday's grind:

And graph from past 3 days:

A bit crazy day today due to going out last night and getting back to bed at 4-5am. Still, managed to have coffee with a friend, get some tickets for tomorrow's game and then hit 5 grind sessions from 5:30pm until now.
Results are still nowhere near acceptable but I am very happy about some specific plays I am making. More things are clearing up in the post flop world and I expect this experience to make me a very strong and hard opponent to play in shallow stack play.
Here is a graph for today:

Didn't calculate how much but running below EV obviously today as well. Before the last session I was down 400ish$ and then in last session finally won 2 6x.

Tomorrow another busy day. Will wake up early and go to train (the training that I missed today due to hangover from last night) and then get to 5 sessions grind ASAP. Idea is to finish grind by 4pm since 5pm Partizan Belgrade is playing and I will watch that game with friends and then at 7pm I am going to the game with friends. In the evening probably hitting the bed early to regenerate and prepare mentally for next week :)

Enjoy remaining of your weekend on and off the tables!

Guys, girls, friends and fellow followers,

Decided to share with you screen shot from my Spins database in PT4!
Reasons for doing this:

- To show people who are planing to switch or are currently playing Spins what kind of things are possible
- For those that like to analyze stats, EV lines and such to check the graph

Now things to keep in mind:
- I am 4 tabling constantly through this 8k sample
- My focus is definitely nowhere near A game. At best during this sample I would say that I play C+ game on average (tons of missed spots post flop obviously and some readjustments pre as well)
- You can have way higher win rate then I have currently with less tables, with 4 tabling I am also positive that you can get 80 cEV with strong post flop and playing B B+ game on average
- Hourly pre RB as you see is 18ish$ , post RB 25$ which is bottom hourly that I expected after playing this format in the 1st month. I think my realistic hourly is 25$ pre and 32$ post RB with 4 tabling with better focus on average.

Final message:
- Get a coach or winning player to help and work with you. Spins are beatable format but you need to work very hard on range construction post flop as well as learn bet sizing, post flop lines as aggressor and as caller and on top of all that have a very strong mental game because swings can be brutal (as you see in my graph over 150 buy ins drop in 20ish hours grind!)

Note to myself and all that follow and wonder if I will make it for all my goals this year:
To save for apartment mortgage, bankroll for poker and Asia trip, I will need in remaining part of the year to grind roughly 500 hours. With expected minimum hourly of 25$ post RB, that should get me to save 12.5k$ from poker alone. Adding that to existing money saved should be enough for all things to work out.
So a lot of grind remaining by the end of the year, around 15k Spins more starting from this point on.

Finally screen shot!
