Hello,

As far as I understand, that is a standart spot, standart situation and a standard call from my side on the flop. Am I right?

Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

SB: $4.45 (222.5 bb)
BB: $6 (300 bb)
Hero (UTG): $2.23 (111.5 bb)
MP: $1.21 (60.5 bb)
CO: $2.01 (100.5 bb)
BTN: $1.83 (91.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A♦: Q♦:
Hero raises to $0.05, MP calls $0.05, CO raises to $0.21, BTN calls $0.21, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.16, MP folds

Flop: ($0.71) 6♦: 3♣: 2♦: (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN bets $1.62 and is all-in, Hero calls $1.62, CO folds

Turn: ($3.95) 8♠: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($3.95) J♠: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results:

Spoiler

$3.95 pot ($0.14 rake)
Final Board: 6♦: 3♣: 2♦: 8♠: J♠:
Hero showed A♦: Q♦: and lost (-$1.83 net)
CO mucked and lost (-$0.21 net)
BTN showed 6♠: 3♠: and won $3.81 ($1.98 net)

Thank you,

On the other hand, after analysing what the opponent would have had for the all in shove - I am behind. So, should I assume that the fold what have been a right play?

CO 3bet range is QQ+ maybe AK, + bluffs. Lower pairs 22-JJ he flats vs UTG.

kazkas777,

So you mean I should have folded preflop?

The range I have posted was for the flop situation. A range that I think could have done the all in shove.

I dont say that, i just think you can remove 22,33, 66, becouse i dont think he squeeze with these hands when he is IP.
Also you can turn AQs into 4bet bluff OOP against agressive players, but i dont mind flatting 3bet here.

kazkas777,

So I guess this is where I have standed preflop and I should have folded. Right?

CO, i think, is not calling here becouse he checked and BTN looks very strong and sorry for misread hand I thought that the squeezer shoved on flop. BTN can have all overpairs (JJ-77) + flush draws + sets. How is possible to have 2 pairs here. I dont know how much info you have about BTN, but you can note that he is fish. Cold call squeeze with 63s...

kazkas777,

Thank you for your reply.

But from the theoretical point of view, would you say I should have folded preflop because I don't have enough equity vs 3 bet and 3bet caller ranges?

On the flop, would that be a standard situation to call the shove or to fold?

You should not call here as he ispushing when mw and this is always 2p+...
I do not get what's the point in discussing the CO ...

nitrol,

Thank you for the answer.

Would you say I should have folded preflop to the sq as well? Because I had not enough equity against their ranges to call?

I never fold AQs vs squeeze here, unless i know that CO squeeze range is like only 2% with no bluffs. Against regulars i like to 4bet and fold to 5bet preflop. I dont like to play multiway 3bet-pot with AQ and OOP. On flop you have only flush draw + overs and you are facing 2x overbet from guy who cold called the squeeze. I think we can fold on flop.

This could be a 4bet pre flop.

I don't think calling the flop is that bad. Villain looks recreational and he might shove there with QQ+ too, or something completely stupid. If he has sets, 63 and QQ+ this call would be close to break even. This board shouldn't hit his sqz range and his most likely holdings are overpairs in my opinion.

We cannot fold vs this squeeze.

I think you are missreading the action. BTN calls the squeeze and he could not have QQ+ ( or may be not much of the combos) but he could have 66, 33, 45 and this is killing us.
Villain is pushing mw and this is not done with a weak hand too.

Yea I actually missed that we are not playing against the guy who squeezed but the guy who called the squeeze.
