Hello all,

Am I pretty much always behind after the check raise on the flop and therefore I should always fold to the check raise?

BB: $2.97 (148.5 bb)
UTG: $0.87 (43.5 bb)
MP: $1.47 (73.5 bb)
Hero (CO): $2 (100 bb)
BTN: $6.88 (344 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A♦: K♠:
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.05, Hero calls $0.05, BTN folds, SB raises to $0.14, BB folds, MP calls $0.09, Hero calls $0.09

Flop: ($0.44) K♥: 9♠: Q♣: (3 players)
SB checks, MP bets $0.18, Hero calls $0.18, SB raises to $0.52, MP folds, Hero raises to $1.86 and is all-in, SB calls $1.34

Turn: ($4.34) 3♥: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($4.34) J♠: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

If you did not see anything out of the ordinary: people don't bluff enough at NL2. He showed strength preflop and even after a donk and a call he raises to a small size. I don't expect him to show up with a worse hand than AK here. Just fold otf.

I would 3bet this hand pre.
In general you are not always behind vs flop check raises but when villain does this multiway he probably has a good hand. I think the best move might be folding, calling comes close but shoving here is just bad.

I´m definitely 3 betting pre too. OTF it´s not wise to 3 bet without nuts. I would just call.

1) It's a multiway situation
2) People don't bluff (and we hold a bluffcatcher)

--> Easy fold on the flop :)

Further, i would also 3bet pre. AKs is a much better call than offsuited, because we can still draw to the nuts if we get into a multiway situation / players behind us decide to join.

The main thing is that he xr mw, so most of the time you will be behind here.
Fold flop is the right play.

I agree with abovesaid - in multi way pots you are usually behind after xr. Just fold and move on :)
