It is really hard to guess what is in the fish`s head, but in this case I think it can be 8,9 so the Hero will be really surprised. Or can be 7,2 
8 and 9.. he called pre flop because the card is not bad.. he checks after flop since he got nothing except he waits for the str8.. but he has to call since there are few way outs for him... but unfortunately for him, he didnt get a streight..:f_drink:

89, he slowplayed and only flat called flop and turn with the nuts and didn't lead out on river to try and keep hero in the hand but deffinately should have raised either turn and/or lead out river

As he called preflop and didnt raise it is for assume that he have connectors or small pair. He is waiting for a backdoor straight at flop and third 3.
I think he would have AA. Many fishes play this hand in this way. They think they would call you with a hand like didnt expect he has in his range. So standard check call three times, or in River maybe he would check-miniraise.
A7o, as he is a fish, he could be calling flop and turn with this medium pair and checking back river because of the queen that scared him.
