Hey, nice blog, u really like to write.
I was looking at your plan and i would like to give you some advice so u won t chase your tale getting caught in a vicious circle of going up and down trough stakes like i used to do.
Forget about going higher and taking shots and all that crap it doesn t matter if u play plo 2 or 5 or even 10 because you won t make real money on either of those limits. Instead you should work on your game, get a big volume, make sure you beat the limits you play, if u make money instead of going up for a shot invest in your game buying books or coaching hours and then when there will be allmost no spots where you don t know what to do and will feel like crushing at your limit go up and do the same thing over again.
Hope u don t mind my comment i just wanna give you a heads up so you won t struggle like i did a while ago, moving up without being 100% sure u can beat the limit and concentrate only on playing instead of improving.
So good luck with your goal and crushing ! (Unless u play vs me cause in that case i wish you all the bad luck in the world lol)
I also open-limp against those 100/100/100 maniacs who just pot every hand. Nice way to pot control preflop with hands that you don't want to shove preflop. As against them you get the stacks in postflop with an ease. If she 3bets EVERY hand, then the range is pretty much anything. Don't worry about her hand, focus on your own.
He Rhodriguez,
nice that you were positively surprised about the new video.
We always think about the distribution in game types. After PLO got hyped some years ago, it never really lived up to it. Maybe it is good for you because not all regs move over - you never know!
However, I can tell you one thing: Your blog showed us that there is still interest in PLO in our community, next to the traffic and demands in the PLO forum + our active coach Kyyberi! So, you directly contributed to the decision to have this video at all :-)
Mental Game of Poker is a book that all (especially PLO) poker players should read/listen. You can get it for free as audio book, so there shouldn't be any excuse why you shouldn't dowload it NOW and listen the first chapter.
Please do get active in the hand posting section. I am sure you will find some spots that you are unsure what to do. One good option is to play a session where you mark (with HM or PT) every hand when you are not 100% sure what to do. In other terms, you have any doubt about your decision. It can be a big pot, small pot, preflop, postflop, anything.
After the session go through them and pick few for posting. And when posting, include your thinking process to it.
I am sure you will find it useful.
