I liked the action pre-flop. OTF I felt confident that I had enough equity and I did not want to push BB out of the hand. The all-in from MP2 did not phase me as he seemed a loose player that could play a wide range in my opinion. OTT I still felt I was in front. I've decided to slo-play to keep BB in and maybe get more money out of him OTR. Then the river drops and my chances are not so great anymore. The MP2 all-in might have played with an A5 for instance and there was a flush draw.
How would you have played the hand. Would a bet OTN been smarter? What would you do OTR?

I think you should bet OTT. The board has draws and when BB didn't 3bet OTF I think he doesn't have sets very often. When he checks OTT it should be a good spot for us to attack.

I probably agree, but what would be the reason to do so? Is it to try and win the pot there by forcing him out of the hand or is it to generate more value?

Why didn't you bet ott, huge amount of draws there to get money from.

2 reasons: protection and value.
I wouldn't feel bad if I take the pot down there but basically we want villain to make mistakes and pay too much for his draws. This way we will make money in the long run. If villain always calls your bet without the correct odds you are winning. But you don't want to let him hit his flush for free.

> that's a mistake. to get more money out of him you bet OTT on this board.
If he has a weak hand he pay and you can extract more value OTR.
If he has a draw he pay and you re-evaluate when river complete draw (you also need to protect)
If he has nothing at all the prospect of extracting more value is low anyway (since he donk OTF in a mltw pot we can assume he rarely has a complete trash hand).

Slowplay here would be good only on a dry board when he has often nothing (ie. paired low board) and if you know that he can try to steal the pot with a weak hand (rarely the case in NL5).

Preflop and flop are ok. I was thinking about this turn for a while, but as we need protection, betting there would bet the best option imo. For one simple reason, if we bet here we know exactly what to do against raise or donk OTR and that is to fold. As played I think we should fold OTR, though it seems weird and it´s really bad spot we got in.

Thank you all again for your input!
I guess I'm in a phase where I'm trying different things in hands where I in hindsight sort of realize that I should have done it differently, but can't exactly articulate why I should be doing it differently (i.e. protection, more value, etc.)
So I should have bet OTT, which is basically what you all have advised as well....this was not a spot for slow-play. Now I will try and figure out if and when I should slow-play, and I guess that I probably shouldn't be doing it very often on the lower limits.

Slowplaying is usually very bad. Only place I would do it is if you have a very aggressive opponent and you believe you can extract more money that way + you don't have to protect your hand.

BB is not allowed to 3-bet flop there because MP + 2's raise AI of less than minimum normal raise counts as a call..

Heh, didn't notice that. I still think we should bet OTT.
