It's probably not as comprehensive as alleen86's but should be easier to use as a reference than equilab - here's how it ended up looking!

Wow nice ! Could u please share ???

Hi was this ever made available for a share ?

Cheers

I would also like to know. Up.

Hi guys! :)

Thanks for watching the w34z3l's walkthrough! I still have to finish the last 2 episodes :f_biggrin:

I may be of help here with your question. We don't open from UTG with QJs and KJs because we will be dominated by better Qx and Kx as well as with flushes. Most strong Ax call vs UTG and raise with lower Ax in which you will fold most of your Qx and Kx. Remember this is just a starting scheme. Once you will get more experience, you can call more 3-bets and make up for the loss in equity during postflop.

Hope this helps, good luck at the tables!

2x means that opponent raises to 2 big blinds. 2,5x means that he raises to 2,5 big blinds.

a few questions:

- Assuming "+C" = cold caller ( i.e someone opens, someone flats and we have the option to overcall or sqz, correct?)
- When given the decision to 3b pre, for example we are BTN/CO and either UTG/MP opens, vs a 2.5X you have implemented a warning saying "!!! vs 3x!!! what is the purpose of this?

Thanks

About +C, you are right!
The purpose of the warning is that I haven't finished those ranges yet. So, you click the button "vs 2,5X", but you actually see ranges vs 3X...

Hi man, thanks for your work ;)
I was wondering when all ranges will be updated (I mean both 3x and 2,5/2x)
Thanks ;)

Those are W34z3l's advanced ranges, so I guess I'm not allowed to upload them. I even don't have all of them yet.

Alleen86: Hi, I've just started with poker and your excel ranges are a big help tbh. I really admire the amount of work you put into it. There's only one thing I am not sure about, when checking the range for SB OR, there is a yellow range called OL and when checking the SB vs BTNlimp range, there is the OvL range. Could you please tell me what are the meanings of these? :)

And once again, great really great ranges.

In SB OR ranges yellow is for open limping range vs fish. In SB vs [position] lipm ranges yellow is for overlimping range.

I realize it's a very general question but are these ranges still up-to-date today or do we need to modify them a little bit?

As far as I know, w34z3l is updating his ranges regularly, but that's the question for him, I guess.

hey . i think you missunderstood the question.

Callingrange BTN vs UTG open

why is JTs a call and why is QJs and KJs a fold?

Callingrange BTN vs UTG open

why is JTs a call and why is QJs and KJs a fold?

Regarding why not calling QJs:
UTG open raises AQs, AQo, AJo, AJs, KQs, KQo, KJs (52 combos) which all dominate QJs hand. QJs dominates hands from utg range: QTs, JTs.
JTs is dominated by AJs, AJo, KJs, QJs, QTs, KTs, ATs (36 combos) which all dominate QJs hand. JTs dominates hands from utg range: T9s

so from this, you can see that JTs is dominated by less hands from utg range than QJs. Probably the EV of JTs is not much different than the EV of QJs, but since JTs has less domination issues than QJs and similar playability (ability to hit strong hand), JTs has probably higher EV than QJs.

Nobody can prove you that JTs is a +EV cold call vs UTG range, or that QJs is -EV cold call, because the EV calculation is impossible with todays knowledge. It is possible to look at large database of hands, and see the winrate of cold calling JTs vs utg range and also for QJs. Probably Weasel saw that JTs is making money and that QJs is losing.
If QJs is -EV cold call for the limits where Weasel plays, or his students are playing it -EV, it still doesn't mean that you cannot play QJs +EV.
It depends on the population of players where you play, how loose they open raise from UTG, how good they play postflop. The looser they open raise and the worse they play postflop, so you can cold call more hands preflop +EV. Also the higher the rake is, or the lower the rakeback is, you can play less hands +EV.

interesting point.
altough to be correct, if we hold QJs then the number of combos which dominates our hand should be "discounted" as we have 1 Q and 1 J (i.e. you have all 16 AQ combos in villain range but it is only 12 actually).
and what about ATs? it is dominated as well by a lot of A combos. based on the mentioned logic it is AK,AQ,AJ = 48 combos (without card removal).

Yes card removal should be applied to the estimation, still you have similar result
