Hey ranjeet321,

Understanding the power of position is paramount in poker. Being last to act means you can gain free information from your opponent's actions.

I suggest you have a look at The Basics: Position.

Pokerstars

Hey nanlaban,

Your best options would be an iPoker skin (Netbet and William Hill have the best earning rate for StrategyPoints as well as 200% First Deposit bonuses), and Party.

You will find that both sites have more than adequate traffic for your game types and limits.

1. Which game type you play?

Sit&Go, MTT

2. Which limit do you play?

$ 1-3

4. How much do you play?

Maybe 10 hours per week, evenings

5. How many tables do you want to play?

2 -3 tables max

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?

Break even / small profit

8. Which rooms do you already hold accounts at?

Pokerstars, fulltilt, 888, william hill, titan. i also have bookies accounts at unibet and bet 365, dunno if that counts.

After fooling around some 10 years ago, i recently decided to give poker a new try. :f_drink: Still have some funds on Pokerstars, but i should probably deposit. So i checked promotions and all i can see is some fcking casino offers. That pisses me off. Have they had any decent bonuses recent years, which doesnt give you lottery tickets??? i can see no reason for me to deposit there, fck them

The main reason asking for assistance is that i'm a Latvian resident. Would you check if it's allowed to open an account? You should have some experiance in these matters.

Thx guys :f_thumbsup:

Hey heydoog,

Maybe Party would be a good option as they have regular traffic, the Power Series (MTTs) run every day which means guaranteed prizepools and the majority of their tourneys now mirror the WPT structure of 30k starting chips with blinds starting at 75/150 and antes from level 3. They have a Sit 'N' Go Hero (variable prize pool) promotion running at the moment that may affect regular SnGs but this may not affect you as a 2-3 tabler.

They also have easy starter missions where you can earn cash, tickets and deposit bonuses.

If you are satisfied with MTT/SnG traffic at iPoker (william hill, titan, bet 365), you could also consider another iPoker skin as their first deposit bonuses are generally the best you can get.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Regards

Laz

Hey there!

Just like heydoog I haven't played for years and I would like to give it a try again.
I used to play NL/SSS with ~8 tables. Never at high blinds though.
Do you have some advice what would be the best strategy and poker room to start again?
I would say that I can adapt to new strategies fast, so if its not the most complicated in the world I am open to everything :)

1. Which game type you play?
No Limit

2. Which limit do you play?
~70$ Bankroll, so i guess microlimits at the beginning

3. Short handed or full ring tables, or even Heads-Up?
Full ring (at least I did in the past)

4. How much do you play?
10 h/week, evenings at european time (UTC+1)

5. How many tables do you want to play?
1 for the beginning, multitableing when I proceed

6. What are your goals for the next 3+ months?
small profit, beeing able to multitable again

7. What time zone are you in and what times do you play?
Germany, European Time UTC+1
Evenings

8. Which rooms do you already hold accounts at?
888 (just made a deposite of 73$ for first deposit bonus)
NetBet, Pokerstars, fulltilt, william hill, titan, PartyPoker, Everest

I hope I got every needed information :) If not, feel free to ask ;)

Hey GuyFawkes,

The demographic has probably changed considerably since you last played. A lot of rooms now won't let you buy in for a small enough amount to play SSS. There are still some rooms offering buyins for MSS but traffic can be sparse. I think Unibet spread 10 BB buyin tables so SSS may be an option there.

Over the last few years, 6-Max BSS has become the overwhelming standard to the point that at some rooms FR tables barely run so it might be in your best interest to switch to 6-Max BSS.

You could consider another iPoker skin (200% FDB) or MPN (24hBet and PKR) which has the lowest rake of all rooms.

Playing against some fishy Americans via Tigergaming is also another option.

If you switch to 6-Max BSS, you can sign up anywhere and be guaranteed decent traffic. If you wish to stick with SSS, you will have very few options.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. :f_drink:

Laz

Hey Laz,

thank you for the good tips.
I think I will start with FR BSS at 888 since enough Micro-Limit FR tables are present.
As soon as my bonus at 888 expires I will switch to 24hBet with a hopefully higher Bankroll ;-)
When I switch I will consider a 6-max BSS switch. Since the "Game Plan: Introduction" for 6-max is for Gold members I will not switch right now.

Does this sound like a more or less feasable plan to you?

Best

Hey pappadjango,

Which rooms do you already hold accounts at? Do you play regular or fast-fold tables?

Hi there, have you tried iPoker rooms e.g, bet365?
