AA destroyed my bankroll

and my another question is what if we just call our AA before flop?
because before flop %win is very thin and after decrease rakeback from the pot is it profitable at all or just increase variance?

AA.... in Omaha has not the same value as AA in Holdem. That´s what many Omaha players do wrong: they tend to overplay their AA...something and KK ....whatever hands. In Omaha you want to make nut str8s, nut flushes, over fulls and such stuff. A pair in Omaha is .....well....just a pair and gets beaten very easily.

So we have to differentiate between A♠ K♠ A♥ T♥ or A♥ J♥ T♣ A♣ and something like A♠ A♣ 8♦ 2♠. The latter is just crap! You want a hand which fits perfectly like a puzzle to have the maximum potential like A♠ 7♠ 8♣ A♣ or something like 7♣ 6♣ A♠ 5♠. Your Omaha hands need to have also st8 and flush potential to be good and get the nuts. So you should call pre flop raises only with hands that have maximum potential. Just AA.... you can put in the trash can!

In Omaha there´s a lot of aggression already at the flop. So you want strong draws, you want a set, you want a set AND a strong draw and get your chips all-in on the flop to take Villains whole stack!

Don´t be confused or demotivated: Omaha is very very swingy! You have to have a very tight BRM.

I would like to add that you don't HAVE to have straight or flush draws in your hand to make it strong. It all depends on the situation. How many players are in the pot, what are the stack sizes (and therefore SPR on the flop) and so on.

In PLO, if you have SPR over 2 on the flop then EVERY hand is a drawing hand. In Holdem you might 3bet Aces and get it in on K92 flop even when the SPR is 4+. But in PLO if you 3bet Aces and get it in on most flops when SPR is 4+ you will lose a lot of money.

Playing Aces is a tricky job. They are the strongest hand in preflop equity and you should be making a ton of money with them. But at the same time you can make huge mistakes with them. What comes to losing 10 buyins in one session, I have just one thing to say: get used to it.

No matter how tight you play, in general you can't avoid 10buyin swings. It's the nature of the game. You should be just focusing to the quality of your decisions. If you make the right decisions, then the outcome is irrelevant. You can't control whether you win or lose in a session, you can only control your decisions and therefore your expected winnings. Not the real winnings.

What comes to folding AAxx preflop, I have folded it twice ever on purpose. And I have played a LOT of hands in PLO. Don't build a habit of folding them preflop.
