I prefer folding on river. Mostly you are beaten there by Ax.

I disagree, I think this is a huge mistake imo, as he could be bluffing a missed draw.

I don't need to be right all that often as well.

isolating preflop is a bit tricky. Its ok, but 76s is not the best type of hand against his range and playing style.

This spot sucks like hell. I am playing it exactly the same way till the river. On the river it is so damn close, because I expect him to have the A very often. Due to the good odds I do make the crying call. But folding is not an idiotic move here. I guess, that the EV difference is really marginal and I can't say which move is better in terms of EV because we don't know this guy.
