Yes true actually. I like a bet more in this case but man, what a donk![]()
You have to consider:
a) what hands do I get value from?
If you donk-bet flop, you only get calls by Qx and maybe JJ-99, sometimes 88-55 if you bet small enoughb) how much % of his range is this?
It's a very small portion of villains range-> if we check it's likely that
I) someone turne something into a bluff
II) we can x/r to get more money in
III) in case everybody checks -> it's likely nobody has something
But now you have the chance the turn is a 9, T, J, K, A -> on these cards people make pairs you can get value from!!-> on A, K you want to go for check/raise again, because a K, A is very likely to hit somebody (if you play against very passive opponents bet is better [if they check their TP])
-> on J, T, 9 you can bet,bet every runout having 99% equity against villains AJ, KJ, JT, J9, AT, KT, T9, T8, A9, K9, 98, 97 (whatever card comes) [or x/r against aggressive villains who bet their pairs themselves]
-> on another lowcard on the turn you maybe want to check again, because you just don't get much value from any hands (and don't x/r, instead x/c to not make villain fold his bluffs)Donkbet flop is far from optimal in my opinion

Going better than axpected so far. Made quite of changes in the preflop game, especially on the SB and BB, and vs 3bets, combining it with some postflop concepts that I knew before and things I picked up by analysing people's tendencies at NL25 using my HM2 database + some new knowledge gathered by 1outerHITS and asimoses newest videos. Let's hope it will continue this way!

Maybe made a mistake (or multiple ones) in hand 1, but I don't think I can get away easily, especially when board pairs OTT. Decided to bet smaller OTT to make sure that JJ-99 is calling (Maybe also AK). His river donk was very suspicious so I might find a fold, but since he is a fish, I believe I might have enough equity to call.

On river I think its a fold. You need more than 31% to be good because of rake. xc xc donk lines are strong usually.
He will have bluffs. Lets say he can have bluffs 29 % of time, so you will see them. Still its minus ev if he has this frequency.
I would advice to ask this question some coach, I believe its good chance that w34zel will say its a fold.
PLus I think another mistake is to bet small on turn vs fish. I would bet at least 1/2. If he has 8x, and river brings overcard, it will be touggher to get whole stack. Possible of course, 2nd pair its hard to fold. BUt third pair he will fold likely. WHile on turn 2nd pair he can call 1/2 bet.
Yeah, I think it's a fold OTR. Turn might be a bigger bet, but also this might be fine because hands that are playing that way preflop and OTF are mostly broadways imo and even fish won't call two streets with it easily, except with a flushdraw. Sets would most likelly raise the flop, so I believe hands like JJ-99 and broadways are the majority of his range. Nevertheless, the hand he showed I would never expect.
Nevertheless, the hand he showed I would never expect.

yea, me too, I would not expect call even on flop
vs this player different sizings probably makes lot of sense

Hi! I don't stream alot recently. Actually, haven't stream for a couple of months since yesterday. I set the stream just for the Pokerstrategy challenge, but it really distracts me too much to do it regularly. I'll do it from time to time, but don't know when exactly.

I think need to put in equilab his calling range and see.

PokerSnowie says I should check back the turn, but call the river if he shoves on that exact river card.
UTG is not a fish, but I wasn't sure what does this flop minraise mean. (Now I know, obviously ♦). 99 and 88 are most likelly in his range, but maybe also some TJ, besides TT+. I'm not happy to give free cards OTT, but also not thrilled to bet the turn or call the river. All in all, I think my play should be fine. Draws and KK-QQ are probably calling.

What's up, guys?
Me? I'm fine, thanks!
Today was the first day this week I played poker. Bought an SSD on Monday so took me 4 days for fresh Windows install + installing all the programs I had on the HDD and setting up everything (including all the HM2 reports because apparently that isn't included in the backup).
Firstly I tried to clone the HDD, but that didn't work, so I decided to freshly install everything, knowing that it will took me a significant amount of time, but also being aware that performance should be better than if I would just make cloning. Now when everything is up and running I can say that am more than satisfied with the results I got. Actually - astonished would be the more appropriate word.
I have an AMD based PC, with 4 core processor of 3,4 Hz each + 8 GB of RAM + solid 1GM RAM GPU so that's still a solid PC, but SSD made a boost of more than 150% in user experience, I would say. Everything is alot faster and smooter. HM2 is now openning and loading hands in 40 seconds and it used to doing it for ages (1 min and 50 seconds to be accurate).
It's so fast that now it's enough for me to start thinking of folding and the FOLD button is immediately pressed, before I move the mouse. So sick.
(Ok, that was a joke)
I'm so happy because of this, so I played without any tilting today and finally had a day that my brilliant play deserves. ![]()
God dammit I have to buy myself an SSD, if I get only sessions like yours I will get to finish my challenge in no time. ![]()
Nice day you had Aleen, good luck with your grind ! I hope that SSD will get you those 5k soon to finish your challenge.

Because those are result of my free sessions with 1outerHITS and I'm not allowed to share his knowledge and secrets further.
Sorry.
But the ranges that are available for downloading should also be just fine (just not as much as mine, obviously). ![]()

Also very happy that become break even at NL25 for this year:

Hey man!
I want to wish you good luck on your road to hit it.
Last hand you posted, if you don't mind me saying, you played very poorly. Ask your coach to teach you about reverse implied odds. You are dominated hard here when 3 people before you go all in. Pot odds don't mean anything when you are heavily crushed (stronger FDs, blockers to your outs etc) .
How is Snowie working out for you? I hope you improve and get awesome results with it.
All the best with your road to hitting it!
