This video has even more interesting range vs range spots:

Too bad that all the hands are not shown from beginning. That 97o Sulsky hand is weird on the river. But if it was 3/4 bet pot and if I knew the action on flop , I could certainly connect it more in my mind. Still, seemed a bit wide from 1st view to obs river with it.
65s in 3 bet nai pot, very cool hand for analysis. Interesting how wide Sulsky elected to call 3 barrel jam there. He likely has tons more Kx that he defends and probably has large portion of them being off suited ones. Texture is very good for bluff catching because straights and flushes missed so I can definitely follow why he elected to call. The thing is, I don't ever see someone like Doug bluffing heavy in that spot. He choose pretty much hand in the bottom of his range to bluff (no sdv and busted draw). On the other hand he will likely have tons of Kx Ax type of hands in this spot. If Doug 3 barrels Ax here as part of his strategy with Kx as well (debatable if Sulsky floats with Ax that K73 texture, likely with BDFD, FD and BDSDs) so in that sense probably Doug checks majority of his Kx to bluff catch river after bet bet line. However, after seeing K3 call there, he will probably in future choose to value bet thinner in those spots with KJ+ hands as well since Sulsky calls such wide Kx combos.

This is my analysis and what I took from that specific hand. Again, this is awesome way to practice your thinking process, work on understanding range vs range and try to implement the strategy in real games.
Those guys are among the best if not the very best poker players in the world. You can learn so much from them, the key is to work on understanding thinking process and range vs range construction on those textures. Finally, this can't be applied to Spins the exact same way. The reason is of course the fact that they play hands with much larger stacks while in spins you effectively in HU never have more then 30bb. So in that sense, your pre flop and post flop sizings are different and your range construction will also be different on all the streets vs actual Polk and Sulsky's plays.
More and more I am getting a great hang of it. Yesterday played very good sessions and was always thinking about these spots. Why some hands that on paper in CG or HU are used as 3 barrel on Spins are not? And the answers are : effective stacks, different range construction, different call down frequencies!
Once I get a really strong understanding by doing tons of analyzing for post flop spots from DB analysis + using notes from opponents, I can then with absolute certainty play every single flop with maximum exploitable strategy with each hand of my whole range to maximize EV of each hand and therefore maximize my win rate along the way.

Enjoy your new week on and off the tables!

P.S. Managed to do 1 set of pull ups. Today I started with 7 in a set (my maximum set was 8 2 weeks ago but just a single set!). Will see how many sets with 7 pull ups I will be able to do today since past 2 days I worked with 6 and 5 x 6 sets already. Also, before grind, will continue more with DB analysis and CREV for 15-30 minutes of studying to get strategy that I mentioned yesterday.

Question for all people reading and following the blog:

SHOULD I START TWITCH STREAMING SPINS?

I have been thinking about this for a while. It is certainly very good way to connect with like minded players and possibly guys who play higher stakes and coaches. Another advantage is that I can potentially make some side income while streaming?

I haven't looked into all the possibilities. From top of my head, it makes sense to not use whole cards (have them hidden) in HU and have them show 3/3 + twitch stream with delay. Also, with 5 tabling it will be more difficult to hide all my whole cards.

So food for thought.
To Twitch or not to Twitch? How often? How to work it/set it up? Subscription based or not?

Advantages:
- Connecting with fellow poker players, Spin grinders, coaches and crushes
- Increasing following and influence in poker world
- Potential side income
- Getting new students for Spins
- Another accountability system
- Learning to use new platform and following new trends

Disadvantages:
- Showing identity
- Giving away strategy
- Loosing edges potentially, decreasing hourly

Ideas for Twitch:
- Grinding stakes from lowest to 15s (potentially 30s or higher later)
- Playing read less (without HUD) and discussing tendencies
- Doing regular grind session 5 tabling
- Doing 1 tabling action
- Creating valuable content for potential Spins students (Subscribers and private students)
- HH review sessions
- Give away some prizes for milestone subscribers (every 100th subscriber gets free 1 hour coaching or such and such thing etc)

What do you guys and girls think? Should I do it?
Any ideas where to find someone who can organize my potential Twitch channel and how much that investment would cost me?

Appreciate all the advice and opinions!

about the hand i prefer to x/back and make delay stab for few reasons .
-players x/raise(jam) this specific type of flops that have one high card and two connected and have flush draw >
Where do they do this? :) I did db analysis for 15s and people don't x/r in limp pots nowhere near aggressively regardless of the texture type.
Maybe on 30s regs understand textures better and adjust by x/r this more but then again I would not bet same range on 30s vs player pool on 15s.

Spoiler

Hey yea i see that 15s players play more hit and fold but i dint know his stats thats why i play more balance vs unknown . At 30s deffinately people start to understand bord texture better . I can post some pictures from PIO that i have calculate vs reg that is playing with 40 iso in 11bb eff stack depth .

Like u can see we dont have to be super aggressive in that spot because if he is a good player he will exploit us really good and we have to stab only in 55% on that flop thats why i tell u that i prefer De;ay stab but if player play hit fold strategy i dont mind stabbing like u said i dont play 15s and maybe bet and giving up if not improve is better strategy .

Now i will post OOP decisions on the BB when he face a stab

U can see that he should fold less than 42% and i think in real regs on 30s flat more often or x/raise hand like 76o in 90%

The flop is not the same but that is the flop i had analysis before a time and i think it is close enough .

-player flat super wide that flop
Again, on 15s players play fit or fold in limp pots. I have seen in past 2 weeks of 6+ hours grinding daily (so 4k+ games) maybe 4 or 5 players that float OOP in limp pots. That is 4-5 out of thousands of HU games I played in this sample. Again, on 30s regs probably play differently here or higher. They float then stab turn or jam river when turn goes x/x. 15s - not the case.
By the way, even if opponent flats super wide post flop, K9 is then thin value bet here because : 1) Opponent shoves over limp most if not Kx hands pre which means that 2) He rarely has stronger showdown value then we do here so he ends on turn with weaker range therefore thin value bet option works

Spoiler

Yea i agree that 15s player my play more hit and fold i don't have db to check and i don't know how huge is ur limp stab strategy but it should be close to 80% before a time i was observing Alicia and he was playing super aggressive c-bets and wasn't balance at all but this was really good strategy in lower stakes .
Usually people shove flop stabs with flush draw because is super bad to x/raise non all in with 9outs out of position with less than 13bb , they do with some Jx hands ,two pairs and i dont think blocking Kx will have a difference in his x/jamming range in more than 1% .
Usually if u stab here and turn is 2 or less than a 6 you will face a donk in like 10% of the time and again if u check turn river u will face alot of probes with 90% of his range because he will have a lot of hands with non showdown value and u will have to give u just i dont like the line bet/x/call in that flop and prefer x/ bet/bet .
U can choose bet/bet/bet but still is super risky because i will expect for u to have some hands that u are going to bet for protection flop and turn and will x behind on the river for showdown .

-we have showdown value
Agree but only somewhat. We also have value bet to induce x/s from FDs and from weaker hands (pairs weaker then 9x or even 9x with weaker kicker!) with or without draws. Also, this opponent is aggro spewy reg so vs him this hand absolutely made sense to bet/call in this spot. I did not however expect him to x/jam all his Jx here so now I will adjust next time I play him on turn to river ranges.

Yea but imagine he x/jam with hand like 6h7h and u call it will be - EV decisions we cant call with K high x /jam on that flop because we will have in most cases worst than a flip. And when he x back 13bb on ur limp he will hit strong that flop it is not like AK2 flop were i think u will have more than 80% fold equity on stab.

-we dont have good stack to pot ratio to make good 3 barrel bluff .
This one is debatable because it is vary run out dependent. If I expect opponent to x/s pair + FDs on turn, then on river he is just calling with weak flushes likely after calling 2 barrel (and maybe some Jx combos). On river facing 3rd barrel jam, his Jx hands are pure bluff catchers and my expectation is that he will fold all of them. He is left with weak flushes that got there. Now he needs to decide is T high flush good enough to call and am I ever bluffing there on river or showing thinner?

usually if i bet 2 streets and river is like 7bb if i think that he had a hand that he is not going to fold to any size or missed straight flush draw i prefer to bet size like 1,5bb with hand without showdown value .

I basically think that we crush his whole range once another flush card completes.
Anything else comes that doesn't work for us, of course we are either 1) x behind since we have solid sdv hand 2) super thin value betting vs 3rd pair or weaker type of hands.

Love that you came in and joined with some valid points. I will ship you some hands on Skype to discuss further strategy.

Hey buddy!

Awesome response! I will respond quickly now with what came to my mind as I read it and will elaborate likely more later during the day.

Ranges you gave for opponent to shove over limp is too tight. 22+, Ax, K9+ some QJ?
Opponent 11bb effective, especially aggro spewy reg in HU will show minimum: 22+, Ax, bdws from JT (To kicker) so JTo Qto+, KTo. Now when it comes to actuall Kx hands, all suited ones I expect shove over limp which is why my K9 is as strong as Ax when it comes to value betting! Only Kx hands that opponent might not shove is K2-K4o and even that is debatable facing aggro spewy reg. When it comes to Qx, I expect QTo+ minimum also with some frequency Q9o+. Suited Q from Q4s+ shove over limp! Jxs hands from J7s minimum likely with lower kickers as well. Txo from T8o+ likely. Txs from T4s+!
I can go on and on when it comes to expected range but basically when you take into consideration shove over limp I mentioned above you will see that post flop opponent when it comes to value has: 1) Jxo hands and very low Jxs hands (he showed Jd2d which supports this) 2) Weak FDs (as we discussed he would x/jam all fds flop so he calls with bdfd and pairs) 3) Lots of 9x hands
So once you take PIO Solver or CREV and change his pre flop strategy as well as his expected post flop strategy you will see K9 being clear value bet because turn is wet card somewhat as it brings FD and we don't want to give away free equity here by checking. I am loving value bet there more and more :) Already discussed K9 bet on flop - on 15s its super exploitative approach because opponents play very face up in limped pots and don't know how to adjust nor think about this strategy spot.

Keep in touch, I will ship you some other hands on Skype :)

P.S. What do you think about me starting Twitch ?

Important update:

I am taking most of the day off when it comes to grinding. Will likely play very little to no sessions today.
What I will do instead is do in depth research for starting a Twitch for Poker.

I spoke to my great friend elpsycho and he supports the idea of me starting Twitch. I feel it will be great experience for me and for all the people following blog or interested in poker/spins format. Plus we can also get to know each other more with Q&A in streams :)

I am very close to starting my own Stream. 1st need to figure out if I have all things needed. Example: Will laptop camera and audio be good enough for streaming or I need to get a new mic for it? If my upload connection will be good enough to stream?

Would say 90% ready to start streaming. Might even do test stream today and record 5 tabling session :)

1st Twitch Stream:

7pm UTC+01:00 today I will stream on my Twitch channel. That is 1 hour and 40 minutes from now or 100 minutes to be precise :)
Will go now to set up a channel and test it in the meanwhile.
Before actual stream and once everything is set up, I will share streaming link here. Look forward seeing you all there!

I have think about twitch and starting a challenge from small limits to the biggest to see people the difference in the strategies and how to handle different type of fishes and reg but for now i dont have plans to start maybe in close future . I think for u it wont make a difference because u wont give up so much information of ur strategy playing 15s and regs are bad and wont adjust anyway, even if they adjust the pool in 15s is soo big that u wont face them super often . If u play maybe will be better idea to play 2 table and try to explain why you do some things.

About the last hand i agree with almost everything .
I will post the GTO iso range of the player i use it is close to 40% everything over 45% for me is aggressive and exploitive after time and everything less than 35% is too passive and we loose equity .

when we stab and player check /raise us non all in his equity is growing up to 58% because of the fold equity of our side .
If he decide to call his equity is growing up to 52% on this specific flop vs our limp stabing range so we dont have to be over betting that flop.
(Like u said people on 15s are not giving a shit about that stuff and will fold a lot more to limp stab or will be super loose i dont see even regs on 30s to know what they are actually doing .)
Why our EV is going down because he have like 600 combos and 250 are total air rest is two pairs, top pair, 2nd pair ,3d pair, flush draw , straight draws , usually in x/raising mode are TOP pair ,two pairs m 4 out straight draws, some time 3d and 2nd pair for protection . So thats why his EV is growing because he folds 40% of air and call/raise other 60% of the times .

About delay stabbing
If we check flop and turn he don't probe bet our ev on almost all hand is super good and we could bet turn and river with any two . U can see that 3,4 and J are good as K .this case is when OOP/BB player dont probe turn .

and now i will post a picture with Turn cards when we stab the flop and opponent call

The other thing about delay cbeting is that we could build a good pot to stack ratio with not many big blinds .

Well said my friend!
That is exactly what I had in mind. Even if 10-20 regs watch my play on Twitch, they need to spend time outside of watching my play to improve theirs to exploit it and like you said yourself, very few will do that. Most will watch it for entertainment purpose anyways ;)

Starting my 1st Twitch stream in 25 minutes!

See you HERE

I also think going up through the stakes, on-stream, is a sound and interesting idea btw - and maybe keep the number of tables played to a minimum, so viewers can easily follow the action? (Providing this doesn't impinge on your grind-volume, of course).

All the Best for the festive-season, and hopefully I can keep-up with the strat discussion there!

Past 9 hours of grind:

Just when I taught things were turning around, they pulled me back in :)
2250$ make up currently. All I can do is play solid game, work on the game (study daily) and over time expect things to turn around.
December very brutal month. From 1440$ pre RB profit to -2055$ . 3495$ swing or 233 buy ins lost in December in less than a month time. Pretty brutal yeah.

Look forward to each day like its my last on this planet. So much energy motivation and will to study, improve, grind, crush. Fuck variance, I got this baby!

See you on Twitch tomorrow where I will likely stream 1 session.

hey man have you thought that variance is so big because of your chipEV?if that is low than variance is big.you play a lot so what would be your chipEV in the last 5k games?

Absolutely man!
Lower cEV higher variance for sure. + bad plays, tilt sessions.
Very low cEV past 5k games. I posted graph for December on Twitch. Low ITM, low cEV and high variance :)

Before December, my hourly for whole year by cEV was 25$+ post RB. Now due to December swing and bad plays, it drop.
