Hi guys

i´m one of the portuguese who tries to get back into poker on pokerstars.pt and grind from the micro stakes up. however the game offer is not much on the sit and goes. i used to play multi table sit and goes but now im starting from the 0.25€ and the only options are 6max turbo and 50/50s, since i suck at HU.

in your opinion which is the best to learn, play and up the bankroll? pros and cons?

cheers

I have played a decent amount of regular Fifty50 SNG’s and they are up to $3,50 easy to beat I think. After that it will be more regular party and then it will be a lot tougher, but qua variance is that the easiest game to play I think and you don’t have a HU phase in it either and easy to multi table. I think that is the best option for you on the moment.

they are more like to hyper turbo that regulars. blinds go up every 3 min vs the 6max 5 min but i also think that even in micro stakes 50/50s players do icm without realizing vs 6max where it is an icm disaster. ill give it a try for a few sessions get the same micro sample i have on 6max (about 250 games so far) and compare.

thanks sdk1987 for your opinion :)
cheers

Your chance is bigger not to go broke if you avoid 6-handed tables. Variance is simply much bigger the shorter handed the tables get. They might be okay once you got a bankroll with sufficient buy-ins to cope with a variance downswing, but even then, I'd always prefer 9-handed tables.

Hello!
I am starting as well and what has worked just fine are the 9 person $0.50 sit and go (turbo). I have found them easy so far and I'm a complete beginner, mostly practicing my pre-flop game. So if you are more experienced than that, should be really easy for you.

Cheers!
