I would 3-bet a bit bigger, like 1.20 €. You don´t really want to see the flop, do you? You are out of position with a nice hand that has potential but it is often dominated. Of course everything depends on Villain. Is he a "calling station"? Is he a thinking player?
Now the flop comes and you get a nice str8 draw. I like the semi-bluff here, if Villain showed before that he is able to fold (so no calling station). Is he able to fold TPTK or does he call you down even with middle pair? This is very important to know.
I like the triple barreling if Villain is no station. But generally spoken it can be dangerous at the low limits. Be careful not to burn money with such moves....
Hey, happy to see your results in better shape, finally ! ♠_drink:
For the JTs I like it as played, it's indeed a 3bet in Janda's ranges SB vs CO

KK < AA (what is worse is it was against a friend!!!)
Only other "big" loss was double barrel FD in 3b pot and villain jammed over me on turn so folded
Hit mini stop loss (take break and review then play again) but was time for coaching anyway
Coaching 90 mins (emergency leak find then short sweat @ NL25)
Spots we have worked on together have all improved (aka cannot blame new play style/coach!!!)
This was a VERY PRODUCTIVE DAY! I was up working and training at 05:23 and was still working at 01:03 #getafterit (btw I post screenshots like this on Twitter every day when I get up for accountability lol)

Thx mate. Yeah tbh I don't expect to get a fold from TP like ever here.

Notes
So much is wrong with my game that I am in mass confusion now and need to sort through all the different problems.
I am sure we have only scratched the surface but I need to make some big changes to postflop thought process and also make lots of changes to my late position ranges preflop.
In fairness to my coach he has worked so hard on me lately it is incredible. Also he is not expecting me to fix it all too quickly but instead we work on a couple of things until they are fixed and then move on.
We work on:
SB win rate as PFR (this has improved a lot so I just need to keep a watch on it)
BB v SB win rate (lots of changes to how I play here as my BB win rate is horrible)
CO win rate (improve facing 3 bets and general postflop plan)
Also away from the tables I am trying hard to increase my WORK rate. I have got my sleep back down to a level where I feel I can get more done without burning out. I am cutting out almost all wasted time (social media/reading BS etc) and try to be 100% productive.
Today I also:
Jumped rope 5 minutes
Meditated 5 minutes
Push ups x 30
Studied 30 minutes (review sweat)
Had great fun with kids at bath time and went for a walk with family to deliver thank you cards to some neighbours (after work)
If you need more of an extern view on your game I could watch you play for a while and tell you what I think about it.
I might not be as good as your coach but I'm free

So either you get up very early or your not European - lunch time (1 pm) here and I read what you already have done today?
As for poker:
I looked at the hands you posted, I personally would play a little bit less aggressive post flop at those limits (at least at PartyPoker). On one hand Villains pay even with middle pair and if you have TPTK you get payed fully. On the other hand TPTK is not a monster, actually, when I played CG, it was recommended to do pot control with it. Maybe I´m wrong and this could have changed in between but TPTK is vulnerable and you could easily run into a better hand (set or so) and then you are the one who pays! Villains could take advantage of that (that´s what I did 8 years ago). I also would be a little bit careful with semi bluffs at those limits.
Just my humble opinion....correct me pls. if I´m wrong...
I do think there are spots in which he's valuing too thin but you also have to keep in my mind that during those 8 years while you were masturbating (or had a real life which is even worse) the game has clearly evolved towards the lag side of the force so to speak
TPTK is more often thant not a strong holding in CG SH nowadays, you nitty SNG player

That is a very kind offer and is much appreciated. BUT for now i will try to focus on getting right exactly what my coach wants me to work on. I will remember this offer tho, thanks again.

Sorry for confusion, my posts refer to the previous day. I have altered my template now so it is not so confusing. Good job I did not put in there I had also been at day job for 10.5 hours or you would think I am capable of time travel!!!
Regarding the hands I think there is a chance cash games have moved on (and especially the fast/Zoom games). Also I am not sure how you can say they call middle pair and then say TPTK is not a monster? The combinations of middle pair AND top pair with worse kick is pretty big if that were the case. However, unfortunately the case is that they are not very often calling middle pair these days (unless you got a fish of course).
Don´t get me wrong: TPTK is good but not as good as a set. TPTK can be the nuts but many times they are not or they are nuts on the flop and the second nuts on the river :f_ugly:. But as I said: I haven´t played CG for many years, trying anyway to give some constructive input (if I can).
By the way: The most fishes you find in MTTs (my experience).
There are still fishes but they are less of the big whales they were back in the days nevertheless, I don't know if it's just because they can't survive for long in CG specifically or if it's just true because poker as gotten harder in general and MTTs nowadays keep appealing to real fishes a little more because of the loto aspect, the idea of shiping big time...
In zoom players are tighters (and trickiers) than in normal tables also, it's lame. Anyone's winrate is lower in zoom than in normal tables, but the format is such an addiction I can't quit it
To end on TPTK : the strength of this holding depends obviously on the type of spot : the board texture and the positions of players that give them different estimated ranges (which can be sometimes caped or disadvantaged etc).
Sometimes if you don't 3barrel all-in TPTK you have nothing to 3barrel at all nearly, so often you have to 3barrel TPTK for value (and even worse) not only vs bad opponents because they call with worse, but also vs good opponents for reasons of balancing because if you aren't valuing at least that thin, good luck with your bluffs ♠_drink:
Therefore there are quite a lot of boards on which we do have a value bet river with TPTK even vs a opponent playing GTO because poker is before all else a frequency game and you can't make a strong holding that often, that's why pro players often appear so looses in they plays.

Do you think the 500days till stake or quit a good goal.
Granted it could just be an attention grabbing title but what happens if you're at 16z/25z in a year.
It would be hard to make it from those stakes to 100nlz in the remaining time so I wonder how ones mindset would be not just in 500 days time but 100/200/300 etc.
Will you really quit etc if you don't make it.
Curious to hear your thoughts and views on this matter.
Gl on the grind!
Hi Labax! Great to hear from you!
I think you made a mistake though? You meant to say... "You will obviously complete this challenge with 100 days to go so what do you think your next challenge will be?". Amirite!?
To be serious let me answer this way...
Of course nothing in life has to be 100% concrete and when I set the target I did have reservations of how to make it definite. Let's say this:
500th day I am playing NL25 = I QUIT
500th day I am shotting NL50 = I QUIT
500th day I am a solid NL50 Zoom winning reg looking to take shots = CLOSE DECISION COULD EASILY QUIT
500th day took some failed shots at NL100 Zoom = UNLIKELY TO GIVE UP AS IT IS TOO CLOSE AND GIVING UP THERE IS NOT IN MY PYSCHE
500th day NL100 Zoom PLUS reg = THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN (aka positive mental attitude!)
Regarding giving up if I am at NL25 with 100 days to go or whatever? No question of giving up, it's not an issue. I love the game because it has given me so much. I will continue to try to improve and play out my last days to day 1 to go. Then the very next day I am out and the next part of my life mission begins in earnest...
Great question, thanks for making me think.

440 days to go...
Self awareness is CRITICAL. To be who (or what) you want to be, you need to know exactly who you are right now. It might be painful but it sure as hell will be worth it! Sleep well amigos!
I got lost in myself last night! My thoughts and ego took over for a while which is not like me at all...
I got hammered at the tables for 250 hands - 3b bluff and fold, cbet and get raised, XR and get 3bet - really standard stuff and then lost 100bb with AA in 3b pot (see hand below and let me know if terrible plz).
I was okay with that really, just kinda miffed as I need to get some volume in. Did review of hands and not much to do different so sent video of review to coach and went to play for another 2 buy-ins.
Coach was free so came straight on and we did another NL25 sweat for 45 minutes and had a chat and all good...
When we finished the call we decided I should play again for just 1 buy-in and of course shipped that within another 250 hands!
Now usually this does not bother me. I get more angry with myself for a miss-click than this, especially as I did not think I did much wrong (got rivered once and JJ<QQ for 35bb or so etc).
Last night it really peeved me though. Not like smash the mouse peeved, I am way past that sort of thing, but I was questioning things and just losing presence. Thinking of future and past BS and blaming myself for stuff and all that kinda thing.
Skype messaged coach that I was going to kill the cat (I have not got a cat) and yet again he called me straight back (was 2330 hours) and we looked at DB again!!! The guy is more obsessed with finding WTF is going on than me!!!!! (He does not read this but thank you thank you thank you!!!)
Thing is... All of my blind play stats have improved lately, I don't really do much else different than I did before. There is nothing to get frustrated about!
This is one of the beauties of poker. It can show me exactly how I lose my presence and consciousness. Having negative emotions about losing is ridiculous for me.
Keep working, keep improving, be patient...
Cliffs: Got hammered at tables, acted like a fairy, got real, love life and love poker again!

What isn't standard is the 3bet sizing but you already know that.
On the flop, vs one opponent I like calling more but vs two it becomes complicated, raising right there seems for the best indeed.

So I was feeling really good and ready for my session... You know "Nothing matters, just play your best, s**t happens, work hard, all will be good" yada yada... And of course the session starts badly.
STOP! Chris, are you sure you are not tilting here? Hmm, seems I was playing some hands almost "defensively" or something trying to lose LESS money than I MIGHT if it got all in or something. Hmm...
So, got my s**t together and played as though it REALLY DOES NOT MATTER...
MISTAKES ARE GOOD - they are a feedback loop (reminder to self).
And... Fortunately the session turned around nicely. I was cents away from initial stop loss at one stage but in the end made it up to a nice (but small) win. It was nice to make some hands for a change!
