Just found this forum and wanted to quickly introduce myself.
I'm a 37 year old software architect from Germany. About four years ago I quit my job and founded my own company, specialized in HMI software development for industry customers. I've since been developing indiviual software solutions for customers in various european countries, but currently I'm happy to have a big customer in the Stuttgart area which will keep me busy for a while, so I don't have to travel that often anymore.
In my spare time I write fiction stories and film scripts. My first short film script was optioned this year from a U.S. producer and the finished film is now entered into several american film festivals. IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5597736/
I tried myself in online poker several years ago, but I never managed to go any further than break even back then, so I eventually lost interest and gave up after a while. I've always mostly been playing SnGs and small MTTs as cash games just aren't my cup of tea.
I don't know why, but a few days ago I thought it would be fun to play poker again, and yeah, here I am. I cashed in 100$ at 888 poker on wednesday, and have been winning the third day in a row now, so I'm now at 185$ just by playing 3$ and 5$ Turbo and Standard SnGs. I've also been watching some of the videos here, which are quite helpful, although the more interesting ones seem to be only for platinum members.
I'm still trying to get some poker tracking software to work, but without any luck so far. I'm currently not ready to purchase Poker Tracker, so I've been trying to mess around with free alternatives but didn't get any of them to work. So if anyone knows a good tool which works, please let me know
