how to play the monster hands preflop in early stages in micro MTT

Nasty over shove of him on the flop, but on a wet board like this he needs some top pair combo’s in his range to make a call profitable. I wouldn’t be surprised he can do this, but reads on him would be nice and then I would call here for sure.

the only read i had was that he is some kind of a fun player....
if you see those stats....
But the main question here is:
do we shove pre or play it the way it is played in early stages?

This is just a normal hand in a micro MTT. It happens all the time. You did nothing wrong. I busted several times with AA or KK in a micro tournament. Sometimes people even shove pre-flop with marginal hands, suited aces, any pair, any two face cards or suited broadways.

First in I would make a standard raise pf, hopefully you get a 3-bet-shove and you can just easily press the call-button (and hope your premium hand holds which it does in about 80 % of the cases). If someone before you already raised you can even 3-bet shove; most of the micro players will call you because they like their hand and do not think about your hand. They fall in love with their QK or ATs and are willing to call.

I know this is just a bad beat story... hopefully this was that 20% (losing) for a long time.
When i was playing and watching yesterday it was a day of crack the aces......

This guy seems passive pf and usually those guys are passive postflop too. So really the best scenario for us is if he plays pf slowplayed JJ+ hands this aggressively on flop and maybe some nut FDs with overs like AsKs, AsQs, AsJs. If not we're gonna be in a world of trouble a lot of the time when his worse hand here will be T9. Did you have any showdown hands from him?

Obviously in a tournament we get these premium hands so rarely that we really have to be sure about the hand if we want to contemplate folding especially if we don't have a huge stack.
