SB: $25 (100 bb)
BB: $26.10 (104.4 bb)
UTG: $23.92 (95.7 bb)
MP: $24.50 (98 bb)
Hero (CO): $25 (100 bb)
BTN: $27.20 (108.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q♦: Q♣:
UTG raises to $0.75, MP folds, Hero raises to $2.10, 3 folds, UTG raises to $5.75, Hero calls $3.65

Flop: ($11.85) 4♦: 5♦: 5♠: (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $4.20, UTG raises to $18.17 and is all-in, Hero???

Turn: ($48.19) A♣: (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($48.19) 8♠: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Preflop: UTG plays 23/16 in 765 hands and is a reg. Folds 40% vs 3bet when OOP and 4bets 22% (in 9 ocassions where he faced a 3bet OOP). I 3bet for value and called a 4bet.

Flop: I think he will usually have stuff like Ax here when he checked (AK for value and something like A5s-A4s as a bluff), so I decided to bet a bit over 1/3 to protect vs Ax. When he raised, do I have a call? I need 29% of equity to call.

Whats his UTG RFI%?

given his FT3b and 4bet % It looks like he would be happy stacking off AK pre?

Given positions, i don't think he has many 4b Bluffs.

If you think he plays like this with JJ+, AdKd, we have enough equity to call.

It's pretty close imo and i dont mind a fold. But i think i never make it in play and call off:f_biggrin:

Not in this case - sample is pretty small, and he has done that 2/9 times.

Yea we can't look at the 4bet stat. 9 occasions is way too little. Also the fact that he folds to 3bets 40% when OOP doesn't tell us much.
From UTG I don't expect him to have many bluff 4bets.

OTF I think he has QQ+,AKdd. Although I'm not even sure if he 4bets AK from UTG.

Flop: No deep thinking required on flop. You can check back 100% of your range.

In the rare instance he is honest (and intends to fold), you are better off inducing a bluff if you are willing to put more money in the pot.

On the rarer occasions that he intends to do something as bad as check-calling a reasonable bet with overcards, well, you miss some money. On the other hand, you still induce bluffs.

It the common case that he is playing tricky, he'll let you know later.

After the bet: He was playing tricky. Unless you have a formidable read, fold.

One virtue of checking back 100% in this spot is that you leave him in the total blue. If you have a monster, then don't worry. It is 4-bet and turn and river can easily mean stacks.

GTO-wise, you should fold a bit more than 50% of your bluff-catching range here (because he'd be investing $18.17 to win $16.05 minus rake). You are probably capped at KK, which means it is a flip whether to call.

But it takes guts to check-raise AI with JJ/AK like that. I just don't believe he has it. A more reasonable approach on his part is to do this with nutty hands plus a couple of shit-combos. If that is the case, it is just silly to go to Equilab for advice, because you don't know how many "a couple" is. Plugging in all 16 combos of AK is just a wet dream. Nobody plays like that.

I like the idea for xb flop.
After the raise, I prefer to fold. I do not think hewill do this with weaker hands.

I also think we should fold here in a 4bet pot. 2 out of 9 isn't a high sample but it says something about the frequency. I'd rather guess that he's strong than polarised or merged. I think we should xb flop and as played, fold.
