In my 700th or so super-knockout multi-table SNG (where the bounty is half the buy-in), a long-anticipated 6-way all-in has finally happened  :f_drink:

I believe that the 10% equity is just about enough to call 5 all-ins from people whose ranges are (correctly) very wide in the first hand of a super-KO (the unique spot when everyone is eligible for the bounties on everyone else) because:

1. If Hero scoops the pot, he'll get 5 bounties immediately and also a chance for 6-7 more bounties on average in the future game due to covering everyone else for a long time and the ability to abuse the bubble if he maintains a bigger chip lead by then. Thus his tourney equity will rise to 5.5 BIs or so, plus he'll win 2.5 BIs outright as bounties (in terms of 'pure' BIs, i.e. the BI minus the rake).

2. If Hero folds the BB, he'll be 1 bb shorter than most of the opponents and thus will be ineligible for their bounties in the near future. Thus his tourney equity will drop to 0.8 BIs or so despite the stack falling to 0.88 of the initial one.

Ironically, no matter how many all-ins Hero is facing, his calling range should be rather loose anyway because, in an n-way all-in, the needed equity is roughly 100%/(2n-1) since Hero is to invest 1 stack to win a pot of n stacks plus n-1 bounty.

Check the stats on MP +2
OTR there are better flushes, and better lows, but this guy tends to play like this so I figure if I lose, I'll get it back later.

Yeah, your river equity for the side pot with MP+2 was so much more than 50% that there was little need for you to worry about being scooped / quartered too often in the main pot :sfishg:

What? No bonus for double quads?
What a rip!

OTT I realized that a royal flush just got there.

Now that would have been hand of the week!

Hi, MrHappie,

And nothing sucks like losing that way.

Nifty hands both -- thanks for posting!

I don't have the details like you guys but last night after mtt I played a couple of 0.25 spin and goes to wind down. It was the usual carry on with all ins and the occasion game of poker and this one was tightish. Anyway I have nothing 84 or some muck. The 3 of us check, the flop hits 333 , nobody bets , in fear of a trap. I regret not betting now but hey, anyway the turn is quad 3s ! (Anyone know the odds on this?) So for a laugh I go all in, still not quite believing what's on the board. But the next thing is the other two lads fold!
I doubt I'll ever see that again in my life. Maybe they though I had 5 of a kind lol.
It also maybe shows the skill level/knowledge of poker with people playing with real cash, regardless of its buyin. Utter madness. I'm barely scratching the surface of playing cash games but I didn't play any till I felt confident enough to do so.

TL, DR
Board 3333 , I all in other two fold. Spin and go madness.

Got to call with quads right? When you go see that again?
Maybe I would have got suckered with a kicker, probaly. But I was my last game of the night. Still. Maybe i was the noob for going all in. :)
