I think so, sorry. Maybe a call - to see if you get lucky on the flop (since villain calls your re-raise you still don't really know whether you are ahead). Either that, or fold pf.

I don't mind the flop bet, after villain checks.

the problem with JJ is that you just never know if they are good or not.
If flop comes overcards you are in trouble, if as in this case it comes under cards you dont know if you are up against AA,KK,QQ or trips etc.
So I tend to call a raise and play for set value, maybe put out a small bet or check raise on this board but because you have called pre flop, you keep the pot smaller so you dont have to risk so much.

First hand of the sng without any reads I think it is best to call this preflop for setvalue and maybe overpair. Reraising makes a cbet really expensive on the flop and you hardly ever get a really good flop with jacks.

Hi all,

The problem with reraising preflop is that what often happens is that hands that we want to stick around (88-TT and lower pocketpairs) fold, and then we're left with only hands that beat us. This is why I just call preflop, especially in position. So call preflop and try hit a set or overpair on the flop before getting it in :).
