Mission 7777

Welcome to Mission 7777, your chance to show us your poker teeth and make it clear what you and your friends are made of. Over the course of six weeks, your team needs to record as many wins as possible and combined be the first team to reach the 7777 finish line.

Teams must be made up of three MTT players plus one Spin & Go specialist so choose wisely. Please note, for MTTS, 180Man SnGs, rebuys, add-ons, multi-entries, re-entries are all permitted, while loyalty tournaments, freerolls and satellites are not.

So, playing in teams of four, prizes on offer are as follows:

1) $100 for each team member in the winning team
2) 1 month status upgrade as high as diamond for the runner up team
3) All other active players will be entered into a raffle for a SpinLegends merchandise package

Fully complete teams can register here, but remember the window will close on the 1st May 2017 at 23:59 (CEST). If you are interested make a post just writing "MTT" or "Spin": once the team is complete the thread will be closed.

If the thread you check already has all the players for your game type, please sign for the following team. If you already agreed with other Strategists to make a team, just find an empty thread and sign them all there. Here, you can also see our first registered team.

Any spare players can enter themselves individually to be drafted into another team that is short of players. Any teams that wish to be recruit spare players are free to do so but must arrange this themselves. This MUST be done in a separate thread here.

How it works

  • Type: Team competition
  • Team makeup: 3x MTT players plus 1x Spin & Go player
  • Starting Teams: Competition starts with a minimum of 4 teams
  • Maximum Buy-in: MTT $/€11 - Spin & Go $/€15
  • The goal: $/€7777
  • Status requirement: Minimum of bronze
  • Tracking: Must be a PokerStrategy.com partner room, but does not need to be tracked

Recording your results

MTT players will need to post their results (scores, not net profits) after which the team will receive a score bonus based on the Spin & Go player's evROI*. The calculated score bonus is double the weekly evROI* of your Spin & Go player (up to 25%). If somebody has a negative evROI*, the team will not receive a bonus.

*evROI is affected by two factors: the limit and the volume.

Weekly results must be posted in a special thread by Sunday 23:59 CET and results cannot be rolled over on to the following week. Missed deadlines are final.

The competition ends when a team reaches the $/€7777 points goal. In the unlikely event that no team makes it to 7777, the highest placed team at the end of the 6-week run will be deemed the winner.

Point Structures and limits

Limit factors:

  • there is no bonus under $/€5
  • $/€5+ limit players get +1% bonus
  • €/$10+ limit players get +2,5% bonus

Volume:

  • 500 games +1%
  • 750 games + 2%
  • 1000 games +3%

IMPORTANT: if somebody does not play at least 200 games, his team won't get any bonus

Example week:

Team#1
- MTT Player1 posts $298.53
- MTT Player2 posts $174.13
- MTT Player3 posts $464.95

- The Spin and Go player plays 513 games on $7 and gain 6,53% evROI

The sum MTT result is $937.61. The score bonus is: [6.53 + 1 (limit bonus) + 1 (volume bonus)] x 2 = 17.06%

So the weekly result is: 937.61 x 1.1706 = 1097.57 $/€/points

The MTT result sreenshot is not accepted if:
- the BI and the type is not identified
- too small

Are Blast and Sit & Go Hero players accepted? If so, what reports should they provide for their EV ROIs, taking into account that SNG Hero has bounties and that Blast has very different payout structures for different multipliers so the results should be provided separately for each multiplier?

Let me explain what the problem with Blast is.

PT4 calculates the EV ROI in the fashion equivalent to the following:

(<actual frequency of 2x / 1Kx+ mult> * <cEV adjusted gross win in BIs per game in 2x games> +
<actual frequency of 5x mult> * <ICM adjusted gross win in BIs per game in 5x games> +
<actual frequency of 10x/100x mult> * <ICM adjusted gross win in BIs per game in 10x games>) - 100%

Whereas a much preciser formula is:

(<theoretical probability of 2x / 1Kx+ mult> * <cEV adjusted gross win in BIs per game in 2x games> +
<theoretical probability of 5x mult> * <ICM adjusted gross win in BIs per game in 5x games> +
<theoretical probability of 10x/100x mult> * <ICM adjusted gross win in BIs per game in 10x games>) - 100%

I.e. replacing the observed frequencies of multipliers with the theoretical ones, to remove the variance created by hitting too many / too few 5x and 10x games.

Because, unlike in winner-take-all lottery SNGs, the payout structure depends on the multiplier and one can't assume that one's skill advantage is going to be roughly the same at all multipliers.

How do these factors work if the Spin specialist plays at different stakes within the week? E.g. which bonuses are added if the spinner plays 200 $5 or $7 games and 550 $1 or $3 ones during the week, thus the overall volume is 750 games (that's not an unrealistic assumption because it makes sense to play lower stake games on the weekdays and take shots at higher stake ones at the weekends when they're the softest)?

Anyway, I don't think that the ROI-based method of bonus allocation is safe - nothing stops a spinner from deleting their lost games from the database to display a huge ROI in the won ones.

We would like to keep simple the promo as much as possible. Because of this reason, and the different structure of these gametypes, these games are not accepted.

You need to play the minimum game# (200) requirements on the higher limit to get the bonus.

Unfortunately we can not check every sinlge spin and go player, but we can check the winner team. And there are some brake and counterweight in the system: the cap and the team structure. The bounis is not enough to win without a massive MTT section :)

Hallo Ossenberg,

Du musst kein Englisch sprechen, um der Promotion beizutreten, es ist genug, um das Spiel zu schreiben, das du spielst und wir werden dich in ein Team einfügen. :-)

Sorry, wenn ich Google Translate verwendet habe.

Hi guys!
I have a question regarding evROI. I use HM2 and I only found the variable ROI%. Should I use this variable in the report? Or should I select something else?

I have another question: is the volume related only to spin and go player?
And regarding "if somebody does not play at least 200 games, his team won't get any bonus", is concerning also to only spin and go player?

It is only to spin players.
