Thanks dude
Only problem I am having is for about 40 mins every day, I lose my focus a bit, about 2 hours before I break my fast. I'm just powering through at the moment, may need more coffee in the future
Thanks dude

You welcome dude
I used to drink 3 coffees per day on average and what I found is that 3rd coffee makes things easier for fasting but it messes up heavy my sleeping cycle as well as energy levels. What you are describing, losing focus, it happens to me with energy levels jumping right down after coffee wears out, with 3 of them that is. I found that 2 coffee's work ideally for me.
I wake up 5am, my 1st coffee is just before 6am ready as I am going over hands and studying 30 minutes, setting up grind. 2nd coffee is in my favorite coffee shop around 9:30-10am when I meet with my best friend to hang out 30-60 minutes and I also eat my meal there when officially my fasting starts. Remaining of the day I eat another meal around 3-4pm and it is around 5 or 6 that I take a nap between 20 to 45 minutes. I am still experimenting with naps but I can tell you that they add me extra energy to power through the day until 10pm when I hit the bed to wake up at 5am. I have been proud member of 5am club for 12 days straight and I don't plan to break this cycle because I feel I get more things done and my energy is just higher vs what I used to do before (not have fixed sleeping time pattern and improvised time management).
For me the most difficult thing now is time management because on different days I have different activities and I have to fit them all. Coaching sessions, training sessions with Sensei and teaching guitar in music. Without this grind and study would work much easier and I would end up having 3-4 hours per day extra for sure. But I choose to have those activities in my life because they add extra EV to my overall life balance and happiness. Can't imagine my life without those actually so that's that.
If I can help in any way with information or otherwise let me know dude.
Thanks again, I am looking to talk myself out of overdoing the coffee so this helps
Today was the easiest fasting day so far, so maybe it will get better

Stars banned table selecting software for those games where one can't choose a specific table in the lobby (such as spins) but still allow it for those games where the lobby allows to sit at a specific table.
I'll ask my newb question in the 2+2 HUSNG forum. As far as I've read, not even all the 7s regs have Sharky yet.

Yes and no Tony.
Yes because more regs decrease ROI and hourly.
No because in those programs nobody can spoon feed them for post flop - they all have to put a ton of work to understand range vs range and how to play and defend.
So that's why programs are both good and bad. They increase traffic on all limits, decrease ROI a bit, but still if you work hard you can be ahead of the curve. Its all about who wants it the most you know.
Quick update about challenge
I am loving every day of May challenge. I am currently at 25.55 hours mark which is a bit over 5 hours per day grind. Since yesterday I started experimenting with 2 hour long sessions due to less time spent in cool downs and I really like the idea. Plan is to do 3x2 hour sessions which lead into 6.5 hours of grind with cool downs and add 1 more session that is 0.5 or 1 hour before bed. This gets over 7 hours of grind for the day just in 4 sessions. Very doable approach and easy to follow.
I wanted to talk about mental game and some stats. In April I played 60 hours of poker or so. In May target is 200 hours. So while both are extremes (very low and high volume) ideally I want to be anywhere from 150-200 hours of grinding in every month in future months. First 4-5 days I had trouble at the tables. Made miss plays, felt rushed, focus was going of at times, leveling myself in some spots etc. All this lead to burning chips in a lot of hands. I marked over 130 hands in 5 days from which at least 20-30 are miss played on my part - rest are super light calls by opponents, icmizer spots and for PIO to perfect it more in the future.
While I can't be happy with my cEV so far (its 21 in 825 games), I can be really happy about what I am doing with my game plan in May and that is experimenting and applying 3 key concepts at the tables that will increase my win rate even more over time. 1 of the concepts is already showing results. My SB HU used to suffer but in this month its 16evbb/100 on 4.3k hands. So I am very happy about that despite all the rest of the stats suffering in both 3 way and BB in HU. Example, BB in HU is -5.63evbb/100 but I had it much higher (at least positive 6 to 8bbev/100). There is variance part to consider but also the concept that I am working on is burning me a lot of money there but over time it will all fit.
Another key thing that I like is that I am working on the game daily. In these past 5 days I reviewed and wrote thinking process for around 100 hands, watched 2 videos and took notes + with Phuketinho I analyzed his 12-13 hands on our private forum in depth.
I can be nothing but happy with how everything is right now. Goal is to hit those 200 hours, track mental game, keep applying new edges at the tables and hope for the best.
Will post graph on 15th and 31st with 3k and 6k+ sample for May. In the meanwhile, time to dig deep with positions that I was crushing and see the reason why win rates dropped.
Financially things are going well in May, I made from RB 205$ and another 360$ at the tables so 565$ in 25.55 hours grind but evbb/100 is 3 and cEV is 21 so running above EV about 40 buy ins (won 25x and 10x) in this low sample which is super standard for 825 game sample. I am however looking forward the most to see what happens when these 3 (or 2 because 1 concept is already clicking a ton) start to click, how that will affect my win rate at the tables.
Quick BR challenge update
Current BR 2585.66$
Target BR 25000$
Couple of profit splits and moving money to Skrill but from this update on should be much more smooth sailing.
From next 3k profit plan is to pay off dads credit 2k$, 700$ for 300 buy ins for Phuketinho and another 150$ for 15 out of 60 sessions planed with my Sensei. From that point on, all the future profits will be going to my own BR which I will use for both poker and sports betting and allocate funds for Thailand trip as well from it.
Since my plan is to play 6.92 hours per day by the end of May, with right hourly and variance that 3k$ profit target is well within reach.
On the side but really main note, I am super excited about studying and adjustments that I made in my HU game plan, I can see it is paying of on SB a ton and need to work and polish/balance BB even more now. Outside of that, I am practicing/experimenting with 2 more concepts and I will need a lot more games to see the profitability of such adjustments.
Finally, I have made a very clear plan for PIO study sessions on my own and with my friend Rocky and I look forward milking as many edges as possible from it.
That is all for this update, next one for BR challenge will be on Sunday 14th or Monday 15th (depending on when I hit the bed due to grinding and need of sleep).
I found this as excellent read and something that I will apply in my future challenges.

Hi mate. Good job as usual. I have a month in the spin World, and very happy so far. I Started at 0.25$ spin and now i am playing at the 1$ level.
I think You are a great playera. I want to ask you;
What is a good eVroi at the micros spin, That is: 1$, 3$ and 7$? And What about the hourly rate at these sabes?

Hi mate,
Thank you for your kind words. For your questions, it depends on 2 main factors:
- How many tables do you play
- What is your current knowledge for HU shallow stacks pre and post flop
In general, lesser tables you play, you should have higher cEV. So 1 to 2 tabling all the way to 7$, your win rate can be up to 100 cEV for sure. The reason is simple. When you play less tables, you have more time to make right decision by digging into each stat and read you have about opponent, as well as to go through whole post and pre flop line and decide what you need to do.
The downside of this approach (1-2 tabling) is the fact that you play 12-15 games per hour and need to put lots of hours to make some decent money at those stakes.
The other approach is what I do but it requires more control pre and post flop as well as multi tabling skills and mental game. I 4 table which gets me 32 games per hour (8 games per table per hour) and with such number of games, you can afford to have lower cEV (sacrifice it) for the sake of overall hourly that you make by playing more games per hour.
In this year I continued 4 tabling in January then in February I switched to 2 tabling with new HUDs, March I was 3 tabling and April on I went to 4 tabling.
I can tell you from experience that I crushed games while 2 and 3 tabling, had over 80 cEV on 15s because I had all the time in the world to make decisions BUT HOURLY WAS STILL LOWER COMPARED TO 4 Tabling.
So you kinda have to make the decision down the road. Do you want to play super good and solid, decrease the swings? Then play less tables and aim to move to 100s to get to some decent hourly. If you want to automate decisions and improve your uncocious competence (MGI Thank you Jared!) then you definitely should keep adding tables to push you out of your comfort zone while increasing your overall hourly. Also keep in mind, the more tables you play, higher the RB as well.
Funny thing about this 2nd approach is you will never know if you are good/great at multi tabling and how your win rate gets affected unless you TRY. So its all fun experimenting process really.
As far as actual numbers go, I would aim minimum for these numbers 2 tabling:
- 1$ 85 cEV
- 3$ 80 cEV
- 7$ 70 cEV
- 15$ 60 cEV
For 4 tabling I had last month on 15s 35ish $ post RB but that was on 1k+ games (low sample). What my real win rate will be in 2017 is yet to be seen as I am constantly growing as player, applying new things that I am learning which loose me chips and money in the short run but in the long run make me a overall better and solid reg at the tables. Last year my hourly was 25$ post RB 4 tabling 15s where 17$ came from pre RB and 8$ were from actual RB on Stars (have Supernova).
Level of play on 7s vs 15s is getting much more different in terms of regs ratio. 15s are right now becoming way more solid vs last year. I am seeing this every day in my long grinds, I encounter some very good opponents that have some leaks vs last year when I could find at least 5 leaks from any reg right away. On 7s on the other hand, player pool is fool of light stacking regs (pre and post flop) as well as tons of recreational players. Example I will give you is imagine J52 texture and you are in BB vs BTN, decide to x/c your QJ flop. Turn is T, opponent bets, river is 3 opponent shoves, you call with QJ and he shows you K5s. So you will see some miss plays, turning pair into bluff facing aggression from hero and such.
I am considering in future to test 7s 4 tabling because I feel there is probably even higher hourly to be made there down the road vs 15s considering player pool.
Overall, you should make on 7s 5$ per hour at least post rb before moving higher is my opinion, for 3$ and 1$ you want to have 2-3$ hourly at least before moving up.
Hope that helps.
Excellent post, very detailed.
I have a New life project. My first goal is avances mi gama high enough to reach level where i can get not less than 5$ hourly. This is my first Milestone goal, a short term goal. At this point i can start evaluating the chance of leaving my job and start planning my maíz goal: Molina to another latam country ( im from Venezuela by the way).
Given the calcs you have made, i could be reaching my first Milestone playing the 7$, and it looks like wouldnt be That dificult to win there. The Last paragraph, the win rates you mention, are for 4 tables?
Thanks for your answer, very enlightening. Just most motivated than ever.

You welcome man.
Yes, those are my win rates from last year 4 tabling. If you are just starting stick to 1 to 2 tables and practice a lot of hand reading - you will need it more then in any SNG format.
Say hi to Venezuela man and I wish you to hit this goal and crush spins!
Again a great share of info
thx for the countless hours of read + thinking about the concepts shared afterwards

I don't wanna be rude but it's not about playerpool, you're just aggro monkey and you don't think about ranges postflop at all and your sizings are bad asf. Your 3bs in HU 20bb+ is about 30 in my database, 16-20bb about 35 - that basically shows that you don't have postflop skills and you're counting only on ,,flipping skills"
edit : I have almost 4k games since april and over 60chips so I advise you to focus on 3 tabling and think about adding tables when your result will be better.
Thanks for your compliments - keep on crushing and don't worry about me
zajcur ur make attacks without thinking for a second why he is doing certain lines . Second why he need to lower the tables when he is making more $/h than playing less tables ,if u are real poker player u can do that math on ur own . Third should i go spam this reg blog coz he made this line ?

sorry about the spam Ivica I like ur blog , i hate that i need to spam but i think regulars should have respect to each other and think why someone played the hand this way , probably make notes how to exploit his tendencies etc, not go in his blog and trash talk with some ideas that are pointless .
Hey Rocky!
Thanks for defending me but really you don't need to do that.
We live in democracy, everybody has right to say whatever the fuck they want. I choose not to explain on my blog why I make certain plays or discuss strategy as I feel that is clearly huge -EV thing to do (help other regs get insight into ones thinking process and range construction). But I do agree with your point about not understanding why would anyone in their life go to some blog and trash to that person. In my opinion that is like going to someones home and taking a shit on their door step. In my book that is unnacaptable and I choose just to ignore and distant such people in my life period.
I asked PS team to remove that post because I don't want to use my blog to talk about strategy, hands, nor turn it into any battles on or away the tables. That is just not the person that I am nor I will ever choose to be this kind of person who holds grudges and has hate in myself.
Again, thanks for jumping in and defending me but nobody needs to do this because the person who posted here totally missed the point of the blog I am leading and his motives are unimportant as he violated my space here and I won't allow it to continue nor to happen now nor in future - so I await PS to remove his and our posts and in the meanwhile enjoy life and live it the way you want it just don't use my blog to come and jerk off here
